Title: My version of a Vanquisher.
Description: If anyone's interested...

Hey all,
I noticed that someone else has started a thread about a plastic vanquisher, and this got me thinking that I should show my version that I made a while ago for anyone who is interested.

I made this when I first got a mitre box, to see how the barrels would come out.

Now, It's completely scratchbuilt apart from the crate which is taken from the rear of a stock Leman Russ turret and some of the details.

The turret taking shape...

I added a rolled tarpaulin to the front for something a bit different, but absolutely hated it...

I gave this to my mate I think. Was fun to make...

That looks really great and accurate.

I still can't believe I forgot about the co-axial stormbolter on mine.

Thanks Tony, Chris, Craig and...Nargred? That Irish? :) lol

Old Guard - Thanks mate, afraid I can't help you with templates, although; Because the crate thing on the back of the turret fits onto a normal Russ turret, you can tell that its got the same angles, all I did was extend how far the sides would go so it is bigger.
All I did was add some armour plates and rivets, added a collar around the mantle, and just added little bits here and there until I was happy. Or at least, non-suicidal at. lol. Although talking with someone far more adept at these things than me, and I agree with him/it the barrel is very plain.
Would like to make some more of these different things.

To be honest, my favourite thing about the model is the scratch built storm bolter.

Ooompa-Loompas?

though I do have to admit the Stormbolter is a nice touch.

Maybe the tarp should have been a camo net ready to be unfurled

Like Sal, every time you finish your sweaty ginger advances and say "That was good, next time we'll let the dog out first though".

Hedley - I might be making some more, but to be honest I did make my own Russ style for my DK remember =)
