The are in deed. I have a unit of RT era flesh hounds too but I've long since parted with the rest of them. I just really liked the way these looked. I actually bought these new in blister packs way back in like 88 or 89 or sometime around then.

I need to redo some of the skin on the ogryns as I don't care for it very much. I also need to redo the masks, I forgot to highlight them! Doh!

[well, someone needs a cool off period] me! They are fantastic! One of the best CRM armies I have seen! The basic guys are awesome! Brilliant conversions, awesome paintjobs! That plasticard work is rivalling Rictus, if not just as good! Well done mate.

I'm am shocked in awe of all the awsome CRM goodies you've got, definately worth the look, I'm going to say that this was a gold mine of inspiration for my own CRM army that I'm planning out. Love the vehicles. Couple questions, first, where did you get the wheels on those halftracks? and how did you make the rest of the halftracks(Tutorial please?)?
Oh and keep up the good work.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. :) I pretty much work on this army exclusively for the last year. (while rebuilding a car from the ground up too, different hobby; the expensive one:) )
The wheels are from Hussar Productions:
http://www.airconnection.on.ca/airconnection_HUSSAR_135.htmI am assuming you mean the plasticard tracks?
For the plasticard tracks first make the outline of where you want the tracks to be by placing tube of flat pieces the same length. like this:

Once you do that put the other side of the track piece on. Be careful to get them aligned properly.

Once that is dry get some very then plastcard and cut it the width of the track gap, Run 3-5 wraps all the way around the length of the tracks.

After that cut out a bunch of rectangular pieces out of like .7-1mm plasticard or whatever you usually use. I use .8 for most of my stuff. Also cut out some narrower rod pieces to connect the track pieces.

After that get some T shaped plasticard and add two pieces to each track piece. Don't add the to the bottom though, as it makes the tank stand too high.

Your tracks are done at that point. I hope that helps!

Well worth the wait for this lot to download! Wow your armour is ace! when will we see it all painted???
elotsip - February 4, 2008 10:02 PM (GMT)
I actually started panting it but I can't decide how to do the thanks.
I am stuck with just doing a worn yellow/tan; representing a PDF army or doing a camo scheme. I am thinking about the yellow/tan as the base and then a green and brown camo scheme. I just can't decide.
What do you think would be better?
Here are some of them base coated. The color is the same but the lighting was weird in my garage when I took the pics

This is a good representation of the actual color. Ignore the poorly painted marine, he was a test model and is there for scale only.
jasevx - February 4, 2008 10:02 PM (GMT)
Nice to see one of my favourite armies still being worked on, I've got to agree, along side Rictus's, its one of the best Renegade armies I've ever seen. At least will get painted! ;)
elotsip - February 4, 2008 10:05 PM (GMT)
I've been lurking for a while here, since you invited me over actually. Just wasn't sure about reposting everything but Seemed like a pretty mellow place and all.
I am trying to get some time to do a full army pic, just the CRM stuff not the allies.
Tepok - February 4, 2008 10:05 PM (GMT)
Mork and gork these are beautiful, everything seems so WWI esque, I demand more!
Tepok
elotsip - February 4, 2008 10:23 PM (GMT)
Haha, Yeah, I was really going for the WWI look with this army. My thoughts were it was an uprising that took over the PDF of some outlying world. Hence the old looking tanks and transpots as well as the malcador. The baneblade wasn't in the original plan but it was too nice to pass up. Rough riders are allowed with the FW CRM list but I got them as part of a trade so I figured what the heck. I can see militia still riding horses. :)
I plan to do a warhound at some point but I need to get my orks rebuilt before I take on a monster project like that.
The next figures I want to make are a renegade witch hunter army. I want to make some guys in power armor and use them as SoB. Acts of faith 'counting as' acts of chaos. Only problem is that I can't figure out how to make the guys. I've heard rumors of plastic storm troopers, if thats true they would be a good place to start. Otherwise I was thinking of using plastic SM scouts. but I am not sure about them yet.

Sweet lord of the panderians, thats a lot of stuff and all of it is awsome. I really can't wait to see more of this stuff as it comes along. Good luck man.

Those look freckin sweet mate! I really need to get some resin to fill my addiction! (Ok, mabye a little too far...)
They look quite yellow though, or is it just my poor eyesight?
elotsip - February 8, 2008 09:32 PM (GMT)
Are you referring to the resin of the new guys looking yellow? Yes it is, it's not the normal grey resin. The last batches of guys I got were this yellowish resin.
Death Korp - February 8, 2008 09:38 PM (GMT)
Hmm, yes, it wasd the last batch. Looks like yellow is the new grey :D
Most other people using resin have it yellow, FW seem to be an exception...
DK
elotsip - February 8, 2008 09:42 PM (GMT)
I traded for some from a guy off barter town and they were yellow and i thought they were recasts until I got my next batch from FW. I was upset initially but then realized it was not an issue.
The Antipope - February 9, 2008 12:48 PM (GMT)
I know what you mean. When I first saw them I was annoyed that FW had started using yellow...but then I thought, why the Hell should be mad about that?
:D
Cant wait to see the command group painted!
Rictus - February 9, 2008 01:05 PM (GMT)
Glad to see your command sqaud and Preachers have arrived as well. They are great models, especially the commander and the standard itself.
LotrCrown - February 9, 2008 05:16 PM (GMT)
ive got the very same minis on order !!
did you get any brass rod for the new banner man with the order ?
elotsip - February 9, 2008 06:10 PM (GMT)
Yeah, it comes with the rod for the standard as well. I forgot to mention that. :)
freebooter - February 11, 2008 12:04 AM (GMT)
Wow...
Your work is incredible.
I don't really know what else I can add to that really...
elotsip - March 24, 2008 05:52 PM (GMT)
Well, I need a break from my orks so this weekend I built up some new CRM Tanks. I've been reading the Gaunts Ghosts books and Just got done with #4. They had a large tank battle that inspired me to craft some of the variant Leman Russ tanks for my CRM to use in Apoc games and what not.
Vanquisher: Also know as the titan killer...

And the bits to make a Executioner:
Digits - March 24, 2008 06:54 PM (GMT)
Awsome! Awsome! Awsome! As Jase say's these certainly give our Matt a run for his money! Plasticard skills a plenty AND you can paint! lol
A very characterful army, would be a pleasure to play them some time!
Daemon-Forge - March 24, 2008 07:09 PM (GMT)
This army looks damn ACE!
i like the tank mite borrow a few ideas if thats ok,
one thing tho....the tank weapons cannons yellowish resin bits recasts? as they dont look like FW's resin colour??
Ciaphas Cain - March 24, 2008 07:39 PM (GMT)
Outstanding work here.
When I first came across your army @ Warseer I ordered FW Renegades srtaight away. My wife was cross for several days
Good to see this thread here as well.
Cheers
CC
The Antipope - March 24, 2008 08:07 PM (GMT)

Some Guy - March 25, 2008 01:24 AM (GMT)

You've a real nack for plasticard.
