Well, writing as I am from my recovery ned. I thought it might be and idea to devise a unit, using the prefered enemy rule. Partly cos I have a load of spare bits floating around and partly cos I'm off for a further six weeks after my op. So with that in mind, what is the best kit out for a squad of five vets when facing each race they may come across and agrees with fluff?

For example,

Preferred enemy: Orks, you'll want a heavy bolter (max number of shots on a PA marine), Flamers (fluffy) and bolters (rapid fire).

Preferred enemy: Tau. you'll want CCW, power weapons and a delivery unit.

Ideas please gents and ladies!

I can't remember, are necrons xenos? If they are, i'd take a power weapon on the sarge to stop 'em coming back, possibly even a power fist, but i don't think it's necessary.

I'd say Nids and Orks would have the same kit (though maybe add sime meltabombs for Orks... just in case)... for crons id agree with 3vilX, and add a meltagun... for Eldar I'd go with plasma gun and missile launcher...
