May problema ko mig kc i cant join in our TVT forum may ginhambal c Mr. Tonogbanua all i know taga VTI din cya na may fire wall daw kaya di me makapasok totoo ba ito?? kasi b4 walang fire wall ito ang alam ko, then ng sinapak ko ang taga IT namin nag ka firewall na, gusto ko sapakin ulit para ma delete ang firewall na sinasabi ni Mr Tonogbanua the problem is baka ako naman ang ma fired can u suggest any solution..Mechanical kc me kaya i have lilte knowledge sa computer.

i said, "it could be because of a firewall". kung chat, like icq or yahoo! messenger or msn messenger, this are not usually allowed in many companies that use networked systems. the control used though is through disallowing downloads and installation of programs on individual pcs on the network (unless this is done by IT people). this is not the case for the talk forum as nothing is downloaded or installed.

could it be the cookies or any stuff used during registration and logon to the .tk sites that joel's network is screening, so he is not able to "join"? i am guessing here, hope i also get educated on this... will await for the answers.

try ya bi kung sa internet explorer kadto sa

tools>internet options>connections(tab)>lan settings...

new dialogue box will pop out.

if naka check ang "use proxy server..." leave it like that

if naka check ang "bypass proxy server..." go to advanced then sa dako na text box, it type ang URLs sang mga websites na gusto mo makabypass sa proxy server

example

invisionfree.com; yahoo.com; google.com

amo ni sang una nahimo namon...pro di ko sure if mag salir ni sa tanan...

Mig ang sa amon na internet explorer,indi matandog ang Lan settings....makainternet lang kmi kung makasulod na kami sa Thin client namon,Lotus notes pa gani email namon..pero dakop gid eh kung sin-o ang users na gainternet like me,pero bag-o magsulod sa internet may username and password pop-up,galing wais..indi akon username gamit ko kung mag-internet..ahihihi.iya ka bosing ko.... :smoke

about firewalls thing naman, while i was an ojt sa amkor, i usually bump to some websites na pwede sa una pa lang, but as i continue to browse the site, ga error na, its because of the keyword filtering sg firewall:

ex: ang imo site contains keywords like :'webmail' kg 'chat' t indi ka pwede makabrowse sa sites na may 'webmail' kg 'chat'. since indi ako ang admin sg pc na ginagamit ko, ti indi ko matandog settings ko.

what we did? ngbrowse kami under a proxy website like "https://www.kproxy.com" remember, "HTTPS://" ang gamit indi "HTTP://" lang. para mas secured and then ang iban na firewalls indi makadetect keywords under the HTTPS which is the secured version of HTTP.

suggest ko lang kay rastaman, migohon mo ang taga IT kag mangayo ka bypass sa firewall nyo! hehehe. indi ka gid maghampang sa lan settings nyo unless mango inyo IT personnel ti indi mabal-an.hehehe

further suggestions ko? browse the internet under a proxy website. ;-)
