gin try ko man disable pero 50/50 ang result sang test ko... una dasig pag open ko ka mga jpg files then after awhile nagdugay naman...

ka random ka problema... kis-a dasig mag open ka program/file, kis-a kadugay....

nag defrag naman ko ka harddrive....

tagoy - June 27, 2007 01:33 AM (GMT)

What will you do kun everytime nga i-ON mo ang PC mo it requires you to boot from CD (using yuour OS CD of course) then you try to install OS, after sometime it tells you na indi mo mainstall kay corrupted ang C Drive mo and could not be repaired ?

(somebody had gave me some inputs)

aubrom - January 25, 2008 09:53 AM (GMT)
ano OS mo miga? basi naka LiveCD ka bla haw :)

Linkstatic - January 25, 2008 04:08 PM (GMT)
Ano ang last activity ( if you can still remember ) before the problem was encountered?

Puede nga virus or malware causing damage to your system files, or posible man nga aborted OS upgrade which caused some system files to be corrupted. ( Have you tried booting on safe mode? I assume you have an M$ OS, press F8 during boot up.. just right after POST )

Puede man nga may power issue ang imo PC( power rating ka PSU mo? ), not enough power to support your peripherals which eventually caused the HDD to malfunction and corrupt the MBR. ( You can download HDD diagnostics tools from your HDD manufacturer's website )

Puede man nga defective HDD

HasBro - January 26, 2008 10:43 AM (GMT)
assuming that the boot sequence of your PC is HDD > CD > etc and not CD > HDD > ETC

1. back up al lthe data files
2. boot from CD
3. re format HDD
4. Install new OS

also check all new softwares to be installed if matched with your hardware ie: Mhz, etc etc etc.. look at the back of your CD case.. in majority of the cases, new softwares requires faster processors.

if this doesnt work:
buy a new HDD as your MASTER Drive and make the old HDD as DATA DRIVE.

Rostan - February 2, 2008 11:35 PM (GMT)
replace your PC!

basi ang 2G mo na RAM incompatible to its others speed... in case 2 ka 1G ha?

say DDR4200 kag DDR5300 etc etc, paki check lng bro

espatepeppen - February 13, 2008 05:38 AM (GMT)
another good practice, separate your system drive(win$)
from data drive(video,music,data)

C: dedicated lng sya sa system kag programs
D: music, video, saved files

rommelpc - February 13, 2008 07:49 AM (GMT)
thank you all for the inputs / recommendation...

since the last time I posted here, I have already reformatted my hard drive and installed windows xp instead of windows media. Also, I have switched to free AVG antivirus and anti spyware instead of McAfee and have everynow and then run EUsing Registry Cleaner and SpeedUpMyPC 3. I have checked/monitor all the applications running on the taskmanager but I don't see any unfamiliar apps running. With all this steps taken, I still encounter same problem from time to time - which is taking too long in opening applications/files. Another thing I notice is if I downloaded a windows update or installed new programs and this would require a re-start, it would take too long to boot up!

Spat, the RAM was factory installed so I'm assuming that they are compatible to each other.

I will try HDD Diagnostics and Win Optimizer soon...

mig, sa nakita ko sa specs mo, most likely ang bottleneck ara sa imo nga hard drive. try download and run windirstat, it will scan your file system tree kun may ara bloated files that usually result to pc slowness. indi ni usually makita sang usual disk defrag/disk cleanup ang amo ni nga problem as the file would just look like a single file. i have seen this several times before sa pc sang amon mga consultants and running windirstat and deleting/scaling down the file does the trick most of the time.

also try the free diagnostics from www.pcpitstop.com for a more comprehensive scan for your pc hardware, dala na benchmarking dayon. see if this works for you.

Basi makabulig..

If it takes too long to boot up, you can try to edit the start up items.

Click START>>RUN type msconfig

It will open SYSTEM and Configuration UTILITY Window

Click on START UP Tab

Usually, tanan na da naka check..
so i click mo ang disable all para ma uncheck tanan

then i pang checkan mo lang ang importante, like your anti virus software, anti spyware, wireless, etc.

Then click APPLY then OK

Then RESTART

Try lang ah..
