Title: Hendrens Racing Engines

Hendren - November 5, 2007 11:19 PM (GMT)
Hi All
Would like to introduce myself and my business to the racers who haven't met us so far.
My name is Bill Hendren I went to work in a Race engine shop in Santa Cruz California when I was 12 years old,and I am 65 now. I started drag racing when I was 16, I opened my own engine building shop in Oct 1977 specializing in drag race, off shore power boat,Nascar, and local circle track. in 1995 We moved to Rutherfordton North Carolina and opened our current business Hendrens Racing Engines.
We have all modern to new equipment, including a Newen Contour CNC machine to cut and profile valve seats from the bowel up through the seat and completely out of the chamber. If you want the latest trick seat approaches, angles, radius's this machine is the tool to use. the cut is so good the seat is 100% leak free without lapping,in fact lapping the valve degrades the seat.
We do all the normal machine operations in house including engine balancing and crank grinding. We also have a Dyno Jet in ground chassis dyno with wide band to get your engine in the ball park quick.
If your in the area stop by and we will give you a tour of the shop, Bill

Welcome and Enjoy the site!

Bill is a great guy and very knowledgeable. We had to use Bill's Dyno awhile back before we had ours, nice facility and awesome chassis dyno. Thanks Bill ;)
