:aag I just bought an 84 Z28 lookin for some tips. It has a 350 sb and a pos rear end its carb. and all the internal engine parts are stock.

i ran a 355 2 bolt twin turbo with 3 speed cooks trans and 7.5 rearend and it held together. the turbo is soft on the drivetrane but my motor finally went when what we belive a piston shattered and sent rod threw the block. and its factory suspension.motor had probally 50 -60 hard runs.so it was due.new bullet is about done 383 60 over all forged je pistons forged billet rods etc.and the block is poured up to the bottom of the water pump with a secret material thanks to greg nolen that sure aint no (concrete pour) ya cant even grind theis stuff to destroy it! so the bottom is almost indestructable.hopin next week well be back with it.workin on heads monday to repair them from the piston that went.the turbo cam has over 600 lift and over 305 on the duration and remind ya this is a small block.lol but thats what im running in mine i have bunch of pics of it on photobucket under realstreetcamaro and on racespace on racingjunk.com if ya need ideas. thanks greg ruppe

:aag Thanks for the info i need all i can get. Im tryin to find a good blance between horsepower and fuel mileage. Tryin to get between 300-400hp and 13-16mpg. So needless to say i've got my work cut out for me. lol.

weiand superchargers are good ideas. they add 20-60 % pending on diff apps and what drive you use..

thats what i was trying to get out earlier jamie. i couldnt get the word procharger out for nothing.. lol.

i had a 355 with cast iron world product heads with magnum 282 cam kit stock botom end 3200 stall got decent gas mileage as long as ya kept foot out of it thats with 10.2 compression vic jr intake was aight but did better on highway with performer rpm intake.still got some of these parts if interested
