KICK-OFF TIMES
All Saturday League matches kick off at 2.15 pm. All Cup matches kick off at 1.45 pm with extra time if necessary.
REFEREES’ MATCH FEE
£13.00 plus travelling expenses of 23p per mile.
REFEREES: Please respond, in writing (e-mail responses are acceptable), NOT to Colin Kennerson but to the County Referees’ Secretary within four days of receipt of these appointments. Please ensure that you advise the Wilts FA of any further changes to your availability as soon as possible.
Referees should note that following each match they are required to complete a Result Card (cards will be supplied with each fixture list) showing the result of the match and marks (out of ten) awarded to each team for sportsmanship and to each Club Assistant Referee for his/her performance. Names of substitutes taking part in the game must also be shown. The Referee is also required to report on the card whether or not he/she was contacted by the home Club (as required by League and Cup Rule 10(D)). It is most important that the card be used also to notify Colin of late starts, teams playing with less than 11 players (actual number to be shown), failure to provide a Club Assistant Referee or any other problem. The Match Result card must be sent to Colin to arrive within three days of the match. An e-mail version of the match result card is available and will be forwarded to Referees on request.

Match Result Sheets
Please note that Rule 11(A) requires Clubs to submit Match Result Sheets, properly completed, within 3 days of the match. Properly completed means that the sheets should show the result of the match, full forenames and surname of each player, goalscorers and the marking for the Referee in accordance with Rule 13(H) of the individual League and Cup competitions. ‘Within 3 days of the match’ means that the Hon Registration Secretary, Don Wilson, must be in receipt of the Match Result Sheet no later than the Tuesday following the Saturday game. Failure to meet these requirements will result in Clubs being fined according to the scale of charges.
Players Registration Forms
Club Secretaries are requested to ensure that the forms are completed such that the information provided is legible and that no more than 8 players are listed on each double-sided sheet. In addition, please ensure that all required details are provided, such as full first names, full address including postal code and date of birth.
Please ensure that your Club’s players are properly registered prior to your first match. A player is considered properly registered to play in a match when he has been registered with the Hon Registration Secretary, Don Wilson, at least 3 days prior to the match and whose completed copy of the registration form has been received by you, as Hon Secretary, prior to the commencement of the match.
You should also note that in order to be eligible to play in its first match of the season, your team(s) must ensure that at least 11 properly completed registration forms are received by the Hon Registration Secretary at least 5 days before the start of the season.
No registration business will be conducted with personal callers and all correspondence forwarded to the Hon Registration Secretary should be accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope.
Wearing of Jewellery
Law 4 of The Laws of the Game, entitled ‘The Players’ Equipment’, states that ‘A player must not use equipment or wear anything which is dangerous to himself or another player (including any kind of jewellery)’.
It has been the practice in some matches, particularly with the professional game, to allow players to wear a plain wedding ring provided it is taped. However, it is clear that this practice contravenes Law 4 as laid down by the International Football Association Board.
This Law exists to protect the safety of players. Its importance was highlighted last season when, yet again, a number of players were injured as a result of jewellery being worn by themselves or other players.
Therefore, with immediate effect, all items of jewellery must be removed by players, in all matches under the jurisdiction of The Football Association. It is, thus, not permissible to tape over any form of jewellery.
