Cooper Avon, with new manager Gary Newman, beat Parsons Nose 3-1 in their semi final, so it was Magpies Vs Cooper Avon in the final. In a dull first half neither team created many chances with Cooper Avon making the most of their opportunities and hitting the post. The second half started better for the Magpies with Stu Barber scoring two quick goals half way through the half. Magpies defended well and the score remained at 2-0. Magpies had picked up there first Ever trophy and were CHAMPIONS. It was an excellent tournement with a substantial and encouraging crowd at Awdry Avenue for the final. I would like to thank everyone from the Parsons Nose for putting together a great competion. What a great start to the season lets hope there is more to come. Well done lads you did yourselves proud.
