Back in November 03 the very first Magpies Man of the Match trophy was stolen and it has finally come to light (not Daniel Light lol) that ex magpie player Ben Phillips still has the trophy on his window sill.
The police have been informed, but told me to get a life.

SHOCK AND HORROR AS TROPHY VANISHES
Introduced at the start of the season to celebrate good Magpie performances, the man-of-the-match award has been won by Josh Mills, Jamie McDine, Steve Martin, Bobby Mitchell, Ben Phillips, Richard Allum and Simon Hillman.

However, this week's presentation was tainted with shock and horror as the trophy has disappeared and could not be awarded to the midfield maestro Hillman.

"I'm gutted," spoke the Magpie player. "One minute I was overjoyed at being named man-of-the-match, and the next I was filled with bitter disappointment at not having the trophy in my hands."

The club have issued a plea for anyone with information to come forward.
