Hi all,
as you prob know from the news a ferry was capsized and grounded here in Blackpool.

I go to the beach everyday with Nev or Dutch or fishing and hadn't seen it. Its quite annoying really as its so big its not the kinda thing I could pass and not notice :lol: :lol:

Anyway last night at 7pm me, my 17yr old son and Nev decided we'd go see it, as the news said North shore where we live.
Well we walked..and walked and played now n then Nev looked back (I guess I shoulda wondered why lol) and talked..but couldnt see no ship :huh:

Anyway I said after we round the next curve in the coastline if no sign of gigantic ferry we'd give up. Well in the distance in complete darkness with no lights we saw the ship..couldnt get a photo or anything :(

Well I phoned my wife to tell her and almost dropped when I looked at my phone..it was 9pm..we'd walked for almost 2hrs :blink:

Obviously we had the same distance home to do all over and I was worried about Nev.
Well half way home I was gob smacked as nev just wanted to play..pouncing about like a loony etc and digging holes in sand and having a great time <_<

He slept like a log last night and today we only did a little walk to the beach where again he wanted to pound about and play and dig holes everywhere. I'd like to teach him to dig up lugworms :P
But all he's got so far are star fish and a crab attacked him...that time he screamed like a baby till I pulled it off his floppy gob..it was only liccle crab too :rolleyes:

Obviously I didnt mean to walk as far as we had the night before it was irrisponsible of me..but you know what.. Nev loved it!

Ps will be posting in behaviour soon as this new bond we have..and trouble free life almost is only with me..with my wife he just looks at her as if she's stoopid! :P

Sounds like you had a good time... and Nev enjoyed himself immensly too. :)

Nev loves his walks, dont matter where or how far he just likes to be out sniffing lol.

In doors he likes when I play with him such as grabbing him round his waist and flipping him so he's upside down and slides down my legs on his back..not easy with a big dog..but he gets really excited about being roughly man-handled lol..I chase his tail sometimes too.

I think this is why he's Ok with me but not so good with Joanne..with her he uses his size weight to his advantage..with me I use his size and weight to my advantage lol

Sometimes when out walking..I'll grab his loose skin on his back..neck..head.. or at the base of his tail and wiggle/shake it (gently) , this makes him wanna play and he gets excited and hops skips and jumps..I just do it to make walks less boring.

I'd be interested to know how you feel about the way I play, to see if you think it could have an effect on the way he is with Joanne?
