Title: January Random Twaddle
Pyreelover - January 1, 2008 08:51 AM (GMT)
Seeing as it is a nice shiny new year i thought i would start this thread so you can all pop in and talk loads of twaddle when the mood takes you , i do it all the time its really easy
What are you all up to today ? Nursing a hangover after over indulging last night ? Or are you all far too sensible for that ?
I had a fair bit to drink , well it was Hogmany
I did not sleep well and i am actually starting to worry about myself , i have been up sincs about 5 and i have done dishes loads of washing , i have the slow cooker on for tea , steak and ale yummy , I even considered hoovering at the back of 5 this morning but thought the neighbours might object so swept the floors instead :o
I just hope i havent picked up some awful housewifely organization kind of bug that would just not be the right kind of start to 2008
I hope 2008 bring you all loads of good things , pop in when you have a minute to tell us all what you are up to :)

Do you all have horrible hangovers today?
Or are you all up to loads of exciting things that keep you off the pc ?
I have had a chilled out afternoon , i just blubbed my way through the film Goodnight Mr Tom again , i cry everytime i watch it but it is a lovely film .
I think i might be tempted to have a wee dram i have lounged around in my dressing gown most of the day saying i am off for a hot bath for hours and havent got there yet
I knew i should have went in the bath when i got soaked this morning taking Akira and Storm for a wee wander , not a soul in sight which was a wee bit strange it made me feel like i was in another dimension , and of course that had nothing to do with any alcohol that was consumed for Hogmany :ph43r: :P

:o You never had a drink on hogmany to bring the New Year in Rob ?? Thats just not right :(
Everything crossed for Nev up here , maybe like us he has just had enough of the festive season ? Akira sometimes goes off her food for a couple of days too , just keep trying to get him to have a drink and hopefully the vet will give you a better idea of whats wrong when they open tomorrow .
By the sounds of it your Parrots know how to let their hair down and celebrate New Year

Well, we didn't start the new year so good. Yesterday night my father-in-law was admitted to hospital. And yesterday in the early hours of the morning he had a life-saving operation. Luckily it all went well. Hubby went to the hospital at 3.30 am yesterday morning and I joined him at about 11 am. We didn't get back until 4 pm yesterday and were knackered.
Vera
PS. Fiona, I had the flu over Christmas (well a cough, cold and headache) and Cornel had it on New Years Eve...

How's everyone doing?
Had a turbulent few days and couple of weeks...
Last week, Troy had to go to the vet because he ripped a nail on his back foot. Nothing could be done other than let it heal itself, he got some antibiotics too.
My precious bunny Sunny was diagnosed with cancer and had a tumour removed just before Christmas last year. Unfortunately the tumour came back and with it the diagnoses last Saturday that the cancer had now spread to his lungs. Sunny past away naturally on Sunday before I could even take him to the vet! I miss him so much, he was very special. :(
On Sunday too, my MIL had to go to hospital as she fell earlier in the week and her leg was really bad. Turned out to be just tissue damage, so she came home again on Monday.
Then yesterday, Dylan cut his foot (just below the stopper pad) and the 2" gash had to be stitched. So Dylan is on house rest for a few days, which he was not happy about this morning when I took the other two out... :(
I want it to stop now... have had enough... :o I need a break... Is someone listening up there, please? :P
