Title: Dylan at the vets now

I just can't win with this dog...

Dylan has had stitches 6 times so far after two accidents with other dogs and four attacks. I got Flash just over a year ago, partly because I wanted Dylan to have a playing/running partner so I didn't have to let him play with other dogs anymore. This has been working great, no more accidents, no more attacks as I keep them largely away from other dogs, particularly if I don't know them.

Well, a couple of days ago, I noticed a little lump on his side (the side where there are no scars yet... ). I felt it and it felt like a grass seed or something embeded under the skin. It didn't hurt him though.

Today, he saw our vet and he is going to cut it open and see what it is and take it out.

So, Dylan is going to have stitches for the seventh time and he is going to have a scar on his left side as well now... I can't win with him, can I?! Well, at least he will be a bit more symetric now...

Well, they cut into it (as the vet could also feel the foreign body) and found a piece of twig/thorn type of thing, just over 1/2 inch long... :o  So Dylan was attacked by a bush this time... Whatever next... :o

He has four stitches... it'll be a tiny scar as they obviously cut it (and it wasn't torn as it would be with a bite) and it looks very neat.
