Title: Troy at the vet's again with his shoulder...

LurcherGirl - July 25, 2006 10:22 AM (GMT)
OH took him to the vet's this morning as he is limping again quite badly despite glucosamine supplements. Will update as soon as OH has given me an update.

Troy needs x-rays. Our vet said it was time now to have a closer look at what is going on... :( Vera

Awww Vera i hope they can find out what is wrong with Troys shoulder , it is such a worry when you know theres something not right eh? Of course now he needs xrays you have the anesthetiuc to worry about as well :( I will keep everything crossed that everything goes well and you get to the bottoms of his problems

I give Akira glucosamine but since she was diagnosed with HD i have also been giving her Green Lipped Mussel and so far she has been really well with no signs of being in pain at all , i cant remember if you give that to Troy or not? But it could be worth a try ?

My husband just called vet and Troy has come through the GA fine! What a relief! :yay: :)

We'll shortly know what they have found as hubby is going to pick him up now!

The x-rays have come back clear, thank god. My vet is getting another vet to have a look at the x-rays too to confirm this, but he reckons that it is soft tissue damage! Hydropool, here we come again! :)

Fiona, what green mussle supplement are you using for Akira?

I didn't Fiona. As Mark, our vet knew about how long it took Troy last time to get back to normal and as I trust him fully, I figured that I wouldn't stick my beak in this time and let him work it out himself. And he has... Troy was as right as rain when OH picked him up and when I got home, very waggely and barky... as usual! So Mark must have been ever so careful with him and I shall let him know that whatever he did (or didn't do) worked!
