Hi, it has been a long time since I visited! Noah is doing great! I have never had a problem with recall and still do not. We play hide and seek every morning. Noah sleeps outside in his protected kennel, every morning my husband lets him in to say HI and I hide and call to him he improves daily with how fast he finds me and the treat I have somewhere on my person! Noah has lived up to his name as well he takes guarding his charges very seriously. Sunday my too smart Poodles who are hunting dogs first and also in Noah's care escaped my Daughter. They quickly got hold of one of my geese and killed it! My daughter was calling and Noah came running. This situation was a delema for Noah........what do you do when your charges are a threat to each other? Well, Noah chased the poodles back to the house, nuzzled my daughter and went to check to birds he came back to the front porch with the dead goose and stayed with it till we got home and handed it over like he had done something wrong. My daughter said she tried several times to call him away from the goose but he just looked at her and remained with the goose watching the drive for us to return. I praised Noah for protecting the dead goose and he allowed me to take it and bury it. Noah used reasoning skills that no one could have ever taught him. While I am very sorry for the loss of the goose, I am very proud of how Noah handled all involved. He is truely a gentle gaint. Noah is eight months old and wieghts 87 pounds now and has his adlut coat comming in nicely. I could not have picked a more devoted breed.
Bless him. My girlie just turned 8 months. But I must admit I cant for puupyhood to pass. She thinks everything a game. Pinch the shoe and be chased by mummy. Fanatastic
