Title: Pippa, my bunny

LurcherGirl - May 27, 2005 08:57 AM (GMT)
My six-year old bunny has lost weight, but as it was fairly stable since automn last year, we put it down to her age. However, I feel that she has lost some more. So I booked her into the vet's today.

I am really used to leaving animals there for all sorts of things, but today I feel somehow very nervous. Pippa is having a full blood screen, an ultrasound scan of the uterus and check up on her teeth. I felt the strength go in my hand when I filled in and signed the consent form this morning... my writing looked all shaky... :( I so hope that my gut feeling is wrong and that it is just her age or something simple to fix...

Please keep her fingers crossed for her.

Everything crossed here for Pippa today Vera , hopefully you will get some nice news later on , no point in telling you not to worry as we all do when theres anything wrong with any of our babies

Well, uterus and teeth seem fine - now we just have to wait for blood results next week... Feeling a bit better, but not an awful lot...

Pippa's blood's come back perfectly normal... I mean, this is good of course, but I am just not feeling comfortable about it. It feels like I am or my vet is missing something... <_<

Well, all I can do now is monitor her weight over the next few weeks to see whether it is stable or whether she is loosing more... if she is loosing more, I will go back and route for any other ideas to find out what is wrong!
