Allow dynamic images? If 'yes' users can post scripted image generators

This is currently off. Have many of you had problems posting images where it said "dynamic images are not allowed"?



Allow flash movies in posts and avatars?

Currently only images are allowed. Is the ability to embed Flash movies rather than simply linking to them something any of you want?



Force guests to log in before allowing access to the board?

In other words, should guests be allowed to read the board, or should it be locked down to only registered users? On a related note, currently we do not require admin approval of new accounts, but if we start getting spammed like the italian guy today maybe we'll turn that on.



Just going through to see what all can be set. For anyone who has never been an admin on an Invisionfree board, there is a lot more than I expected. Maybe I'll get rid of Harrison Bergeron and finalize my coup d'etat.

is e-mail confirmation part of the process to request posting ability? I can't remember

currently, no.

I also have the ability to set it so that not more than one account can be activated for a particular email address. we haven't had too much trouble as this is a close-knit board, but that would be something that could address spamming - although it's pretty easy to set up another email address.

I'm not too concerned with the registration process at the moment, but I thought it could be fun to enable Flash animations if nobody really objects.

We have those activated as well.

We also have a "shoutbox" at the bottom for random gibberish and an arcade (it's up there by the help, search, members stuff in the right hand corner)

If anyone wants to own a SIM team in any of the 3 leagues we run them in, come on over as well. We also have picks of the day in NBA and other stuff.

It's almost exclusively sports, as I mentioned before. Thelogo is part of that board; he told me about this one. There are one or two others (I think) that come over here to talk politics

alright, I turned on the Flash animations. I don't know how to do it, so I'll leave that up to y'all to figure it out. currently there is a size limit (200X200) which I can adjust, but I think that should be sufficient. just experimenting here.

seriously, though, aside from the whole Lowertaxeswork issue, the new reply icons (fuck everyone who doesn't like it), and allowing Flash animations (half an hour ago) I haven't changed anything.

As to open access, as it currently stands guests can read most of the forums, except Deathmatch and Girls Girls Girls.

the best part of guests being able to read the forums is that GMen (Lowertaxeswork) can read our messages but can't post. apparently he can send PM's...and I'm getting sick of it.
