Rented it on DVD years ago. All the animals they killed in the movie, they ACTUALLY killed. Even the ones where it took multiple takes. It's THAT barbaric.
A fucked up movie, indeed.
It was so realistic, that at the time, an Italian court demanded that the director produce the people who were in the film to ensure that they weren't actually murdered to make the movie.
