Title: Jets @ Raiders
Description: week 7 prediction

Prowling - October 21, 2009 10:13 PM (GMT)
The Raiders will make this two wins in a row. Raiders will contain Thomas Jones (Fargas will have more rushing yards than Jones), and their secondary will take advantage of Sanchez's newbieness. Also, reverse jet lag in effect.

Raiders will have a better chance of scoring when their offense is off the field.

Just Plain Bill - October 21, 2009 10:29 PM (GMT)
They went to the left coast 4 times last year.

SD, OAK, SF, SEA.

Lost em all.

The Jets are still 6 point favs.

the jets will take the lead into the 4th quarter as ABC cuts away from the game on the east coast to show the Heidi special......

Space Monkey - October 22, 2009 01:12 PM (GMT)
Jets, easily

Not so sure about that. The Jests are on a 3 game schneid, their QB is starting to look like the rookie he is. I mean they're already talking about dumbing down the play selection.

Tease Oakland up to +12 and the Pats down to -8.5. Thats today; could change by Sunday.

Because Oakland has yet to prove that they can win two games in a row.

Just win, baby. ;)

Oakland will hang because of their defense. I don't think the Jets cover the spread.

Oakland has an anemic offense.

Jets 10
Fags 6

I'll take my lumps on this one. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

(Nostradumbass...that's pretty creative...I wonder if anyone will make notice of how right I was about Miles Austin?)

Speaking of wrong, when you are easily within field goal range of sending the game into OT like Minnesota was, don't put the ball in the air and snatch defeat from the jaws of a new lease on life in OT. Especially when you have AD and Chester. There are three things that can happen when you pass, and two of them are bad. The luck finally ran out.

While there's no shame in losing to the defending SB champions at home (plus the Vikes historically suck outside on grass), you were so close to pulling that one off.

And how 'bout them Bears?

Speaking of Miles Austin (who has 421 receiving yards w/4 TDs in his past two outings), here's a little brain-teaser borrowed from Dave Richard...
--------------------

The last word: Let's play a game. Here are the stats for a prominent NFL receiver:

Week 1: Two catches, 46 yards
Week 2: Three catches, 52 yards, TD
Week 3: No catches, no yards
Week 4: Three catches, 60 yards
Week 5: Four catches, 44 yards
Week 6: Three catches, 14 yards
Week 7: Three catches, 27 yards

Before you try and guess the receiver's identity, would you want him on your Fantasy team? Would you even consider starting someone on par with many of the league's low-end wideouts?

The winner got paid $6 million guaranteed before the season, and his team has won two straight games in spite of his poor play.

The player? Terrell Owens of the Buffalo Bills. If you've been worried about dropping him, go ahead. It's clear that he's a shell of his former self and unlikely to turn things around, at least on a consistent basis. Just try not to think about the out-of-nowhere receivers like Miles Austin, Sidney Rice, Mike Sims-Walker, Mario Manningham, Hakeem Nicks, Austin Collie, Mike Wallace, Johnny Knox, Pierre Garcon and others who weren't drafted that you could have picked up in place of T.O. at several points before this week.

The sports board should be renamed the "Space Monkey Vindication Board"

Good call on the Jests.

For a second I looked past the "blind squirrel finds acorn" when Joakland beat the Eagles and thought they had a shot. WRONG.
