You know, I was puzzled in the offseason, after Schwartz got hired in Detroit, why the Titans completely ignored Gregg Williams who was out there and decided to instead promote Cecil from within.
Now, I don't know the whole story, only those involved with the team would, but looking at how completely LOST the secondary looks, and how well the Saints defense has looked this season, I can't help but wonder 'why, why, why?'
And you can't even really blame the rookies either, as even our all-pro safeties, Hope and Griffin, are routinely out of place, missing tackles, biting on fakes, etc (and have been all year).
And I'm tired of Fisher's insistence to stay with Kerry Collins. Contrary to every official statement the team has made over the past 5 weeks, he simply is NOT the same QB he was last year. I don't know why, maybe its b/c he's a year older, but his reactions look slow, his judgement is HIGHLY questionable, and he's had difficulty all season long of simply HOLDING ON TO THE BALL!?! Not that the QB even matters when your WRs can't seem to catch the little brown ball that the league routinely uses.

Impressive win by a team on the decline. I was kind of hoping the Pats could keep up their 1st half pace and end the game with a score of 90-0

Decline?
Hardly.
You gotta remember one of the top QB's in the league played in his 6th game after missing a year. (Ask Carson Palmer how that worked out for him). They're 4-2, and yeah, they could probably be 3-3 or even 2-4. But they're not.
Granted, it was Tennesse with 3 of their starting DB's out, but Brady wasn't overthrowing a wide open Moss by 10 yards in the end zone, or throwing the ball at Welker's feet.
They'll be just fine.

Team in decline meaning their window is certainly closing. This isnt 2001 anymore. The Pats crested and are on the down hill part of their run at a minimum.

I guess time will tell on that explanation.

did you feel the same way when manning was recovering from his knee injury and got off to a slow start?

This has nothing to do with Brady. The overall team has aged and declined considerably in the last 2 seasons. They need to rebuild if they are going to be a super bowl contender.
