Title: Defiance
Kali Maa - August 12, 2009 04:39 PM (GMT)
For some reason, the plot description for this movie really didn't seem to capture everything it ended up being.
Daniel Craig (James Bond: Quantum of Solace) stars as Tuvia Bielski, an ordinary citizen turned hero, in this action-packed epic of family, honor, vengeance and salvation. Defiance is a riveting adventure that showcases the extraordinary true story of the Bielski brothers, simple farmers –outnumbered and outgunned- who turned a group of war refugees into powerful freedom fighters. This is the best movie I've seen in years.
It's based on a true story during the Holocaust. Jews hid from the Nazis in the woods to survive. I loved it.

I liked it except for the blue eyed, blond haired Daniel Craig supposedly being a jew. Same problem with Munich, except in that movie this fact was kind of made fun of.

If you weren't such a racist fuck you'd know that jews can be blue-eyed and blonde.

Sure they can, but ethnically they are mixed.
Last time I checked Hitler was going after semites and not a religion. Racially jews are considered semitic and blue eyes and blonde hair are not part of that. Or are you one of the lunes who thinks jesus was blue eyed and blonde haired too?
Hell, go bitch about Spielberg taking advantage of the irony of this in Munich when the teutonic looking Craig says "The only blood I care about is Jewish blood." Or does Spielberg need a lesson in the "new genetics" as invented by Kali and JohnDough?

Sure they can, but only if a gentile ancestor sneaked their way into the family tree.

I'm probably feeding the trolls, but the exact opposite is true since I'm arguing semtic people are a distinct race. I take it you think jesus was blue eyed and blonde haired too?

Medieval Europe, all Asian peoples were thought of as descendants of Shem. By the nineteenth century, the term Semitic was confined to the ethnic groups who have historically spoken Semitic languages. These peoples were often considered to be a distinct race. However, some anti-Semitic racial theorists of the time argued that the Semitic peoples arose from the blurring of distinctions between previously separate races. This supposed process was referred to as Semiticization by the race-theorist Arthur de Gobineau. The notion that Semitic identity was a product of racial "confusion" was later taken up by the Nazi ideologue Alfred Rosenberg.[citation needed]
Modern science, in contrast, identifies a population's common physical descent through genetic research, and analysis of the Semitic-speaking peoples suggests that they have some common ancestry. Though no significant common mitochondrial results have been yielded, Y-chromosomal links between Semitic-speaking Near-Eastern peoples like Arabs, Assyrians and Jews have proved fruitful, despite differences contributed from other groups (see Y-chromosomal Aaron). Although population genetics is still a young science, it seems to indicate that a significant proportion of these peoples' ancestry comes from a common Near Eastern population to which (despite the differences with the Biblical genealogy) the term "Semitic" has been applied. However, this correlation should rather be attributed to said common Near Eastern origin, as for example Semitic-speaking Near Easterners from the Fertile Crescent (including Jews) are generally more closely related to non-Semitic speaking Near Easterners, such as Iranians, Anatolians, and Caucasians, than to other Semitic-speakers, such as Gulf Arabs, Ethiopian Semites, and North African Arabs.[7][8][9] |

Your insecurity is showing in the way that you've decided not to back up your own moronic statement with any facts... but rather ask me if I believe that Jesus had blue eyes and blond hair. :D
