Whole Foods has some great products in their stores. There's no better place for meat other than farmers markets.

I tell you what, though, stay away from their prepared foods department...

Never like them very much. Every TJ I've ever been to, their meat, produce, and dairy selections suck.

Their trail mixes, nuts, and dried fruits are awesome though. And they usually have some good deals on beer and wine.

Now there's a perfect example of leftist stupidity. "We want companies to pay their employees well, provide benefits, pay ridiculous sums of cash to the government for permission to use words like "organic", invest massive amounts of their own profits in support of various environmental and social projects, and after all that, we demand that their products STILL be cheap and affordable!"

Lulz. I actually worked FOR them. Got to see how the company works from within. They arent' broke, yet. But like I said, what would you expect? YOU would expect them to go broke and destroy themselves in service to humanity. Here's a clue, jackass, making the kind of products they sell in their stores are HELLA pricey. Not to mention they do ridiculously stupid things, like throw twenty million dollars of their own money away on scams like "wind energy credits". Plus the fact that they pay their employees well above industry average. Plus the benefits. Now, I'm not talking just about how much it costs them to get products from suppliers, I'm also factoring in how much it costs to start up a WF, employ hundreds of people, the money they spend on training and propaganda, etc. That company pours money right down the drain, always willing to buy into any stupid thing that's PC enough. They give LOTS of money away. And waste quite a lot of it even within their own business.

Hell of a good store. The nice thing about F&E is that they'll let you do a taste test on almost anything you want in the store (within reason, of course), and they eat the price and serve what was opened as sample snacks to the customers who are shopping around.

They let me taste an all natural salsa and some tortilla chips last week, and I ended up buying them. They also had 2 24 pack containers of their own brand of bottled water for 7 bucks.

48 bottles of water for 7 bucks? Count me in.

Their deli section is also really good. They've got homemade meals that are premade, and all you have to do is put them on the stove. I highly recommend going here if you get one by you sometime down the road.

Their prices put TJ's to shame. I got two 6 oz sirloin steaks and two pieces of salmon for under 20 bucks.

They've also got some great canvas material shopping bags for 99 cents each, and I picked up about 6 of them because they're HUGE and I can put more food in those when I go shopping than could fit in a regular paper or plastic bag.

Is it a big store? What is it in relation to a TJ's or WF?

I def want to check out. Hope they have plans for some in SF.
