Is GHIII more difficult than GHII or is it just my imagination/excuse?

No, sometimes crazy hard. GH2 is a bit more forgiving imo. Rock Band is much easier on guitar but a blast and the drums are as fun as it gets.

I'm having trouble keeping up with Number of the Beast and One, especially the solos.

And I don't see me beating Lou on the same level.

Freebird on II is much easier.

if you want to beat Lou, save up your attacks. don't use them right away, watch his board and when he gets to a hard part, unleash it. I tried over and over to beat him and couldn't, until a friend gave me the same tip. worked like a charm.

BTW, Red, you were right about RockBand. We've had several times already with someone on all the instruments and vocals. Needless to say, the vocals were perfect. :sun:

Its a great family/party game. If you are ever on Live send me your gamertag and we can jam.

I've never done that, but I'll bet my son has. I'll have to ask him about it cause it sounds like fun.

Your son will know all about it. Every Tuesday Rock band comes out with new songs to download on Xbox Live for 160 points each (around $2). You can take them or leave them but some of them are really good and its a way to keep the game fresh. I just downloaded a Stone Temple Pilots song, they have old school Metallica, etc. the thing you want to be weary of is if its a cover or the original. A cover will have an asterisk by it. The covers are really good but i want the originals and most of them are originals.

Thanks for the info, especially about the new music.

You get a gold star today, Red. :sun:

I've got to get better so I can actually save up my attacks. As it stands now, they're few and far between because the fret work is insane and you can't practice the battles.

BTW, I hate when he hits me with "lefty".
