Title: Yo

marcut - February 11, 2008 04:20 AM (GMT)
My name is Tommy. I'm a huge sports fan, but lately have gotten really into politics and the upcoming presidential elections. I am 13 years old, and am a supporter of John McCain. I've been arguing about why John McCain should be president on my sports forums, and figured I'd join here and talk about it in an actual politics forum.

Hope I'm welcome.

you are welcome, if you are 13, i might suggest you take a lot of the responses you get with a grain of salt

some on here can be quite viscious- let em know you are 13, so they dont expect you to have the experience of an adult- and dont take anything too personal

You are welcome, but I have a question for you. Who are your parents voting for?

marcut - February 11, 2008 02:51 PM (GMT)
They're voting for Obama.

Interesting. Do you know why their choice is Obama? Secondly, why is your choice McCain?

wildhare - February 11, 2008 04:43 PM (GMT)
Oh, and one more thing, don't give out any more personal info. We already know your name and age and that's enough. :D

They're voting for Obama because of healthcare and because they are against the war and want changes in this country.

I (would be) voting for McCain because I support the war (I think if we need to continue fighting Al Qaeda, and not let them come to us), and also I originally started out supporting Guiliani, but since he dropped out and supports McCain, who IMO is a lot like him, yeah, that's why.

I'm sure that I am missing some things because I honestly do not know too much about all the candidates - but from what I do, I support McCain.

When I read Kali's posts, I shut one eye ;) , and they only seem half as stupid.

Welcome, marcut.

I'm no McCain fan, but I have no intention of ever voting for a Democrat, ESPECIALLY this time around. Obama is the biggest liberal in government (Diana West had a great article on that, I'll link to it when it gets online, couldn't find it Sunday) and the last thing is another Billary co-presidency. Hillary actually remarked to the press one day that "We are the president." They mugged a legitimate American industry, tobacco. I had no idea that was possible. My rude introduction to politics.

Sad to say, I'll hold my nose and vote for McCain.

Your parents are voting for Obama? Do they know you support McCain? Are they having a fit?
