Title: does this board need a moderator?

if we're jumping ship from espn, wasn't one of the reasons that you could get banned for absolutely nothing?

Would you like me to wake livefreeordie and ask him? :P

In an extremely halfhearted way (oxymoron?), that was my pseudo goal with the 'elections'. It would have wored over htere because it was espn's board.

I beleive people shouldn't ever be banned. But the cloning, sock puppets and spamming were getting a little out of hand on AFL.

Props to LFOD. :D

Can we get a spell-check on this board?

A little?

Sorry I'm not up on the terminology. Someone please explain the difference between a "clone" and a "sock puppet" thanks.

Clones are fake versions of other posters (Clint_Pipkin), sock puppets are just aliases people use to hide under (OWNEDF@G, EdwardBareass)

i also belong to a board of refugees from cbs, we have our own board like you guys do

the thing we do different, is that the admins have to activate new accounts before they can post. that way you can keep the trolls away.

Well, it may come to that eventually. At least to start off, though, I want the process to be as easy as possible. If trolls start to get out of hand, I can always change the settings.
