Title: XBox 360 sucks

1Adam12 - January 7, 2008 09:17 PM (GMT)
Red light of death hits ours after 5 months. MS knows about this but do nothing about it. Now we have to send it in for repair probably to have it break again in 6 more months. What a pile.

Meanwhile the PS3 has been humming for over a year without a hitch.

Fuck the XBOX.

ghost_of_creep - January 7, 2008 09:31 PM (GMT)
Sony knows how to make electronics that work.

Microsoft knows how to make things that break constantly and users put up with it because they have no choice.

1Adam12 - January 7, 2008 11:18 PM (GMT)
I should have never bought it. Fucking pile of crap.

1Adam12 - January 7, 2008 11:20 PM (GMT)
What sucks is that they know they have a problem and even the new units are being shipped out with this red light of death problem. They just don't give a fuck and I think they find it funny.

it costs them tons of money - I'm sure they do care - maybe not about the user but about their profits, and having to fix the bad units doesn't help their profits

Yea and MS has addressed the problem by continuing to ship out units they know will have a problem and making you wait 4-6 week to repair the ones that shouldn't have been sold in the first place.

XBOX is junk.

The red light problem is so widespread that there are even scam artists with little tricks you can "buy" on the net to fix the problem.

my understanding is that the cooling issues were addressed not too long ago

personally, we have never had any issues with our Xbox or Xbox360 (knocks on wood)

I know someone who did, but they had the 360 in a closed in area with no ventilation

Show me where microsoft is still shipping faulty 360s knowingly as you claimed. And be honest for once. When you get it back tell the truth about how long it took.

Sony has had its share of problems also and I have never seen them respond in this manner and give 3 year warranties. PS2 had problems, they had problems with batteries. is it just a cooling issue? that seems way too easy to fix for it to be taking so long to repair and remedy.

the battery problem was in the CONTROLLERS. wireless controllers, that is. see, the rumble uses the battery up pretty fast which is to be expected.

and yes, the XBox 360 problems are mainly overheating issues. not sure if they'll overheat if you keep them ventilated...

i owned ps3, wii, and 360. yea i said owned, two of them i sold in the past year. the one i liked the most was 360. xbox live is set up so well, its worth buying just for xbox live arcade. and you can get older 360 games for around 20 bucks now and a lot of them are good. wii was good but after a long day of work the last thing you want to do is more standing to play video games. ps3 is good but there trying to wow people over with sequals i wanna play something new. i know 360 has just as many but they also have a lot of new stuff that does not have a number at the end.and by the time sony has that buy it it will be cheaper and the few new ideas it had whille you waited will be cheaper as well. im gonna get the ps3 again soon just waiting for new games. i know mgs4 is gonna be amazing and ff13 but they are not really new ideas.
