It's the same game as GH I and II. Which boils down to...it ROCKS. Hard to improve on perfection. If you've never played it and think "oh, that's for kids" then you owe it to yourself to play. It's one of the most fun games I've ever played. I'm practicing to go online. The songs are excellent, in fact kids probably don't recognize most of them whereas it's all the sh!t I grew up listening to.

I've never played it but it seems like it's similar to that dancing game only for air guitar virtuosos.

I thought the same thing until I played it. it's far more technical and realistic-feeling than you'd imagine. for example, the songs you know are a lot easier to play than the ones you don't. having a good rhythm and knowledge of the song is important.

It has a very difficult to nearly impossible expert mode for those of you that think it is just a button masher.

hell, I'm having trouble on medium, let alone expert. easy is, well, easy (three buttons, just button mashing). four buttons requires you to actually move your fingers around (like playing a real guitar), and the fifth button is just plain insanity especially for the solos.

i think south park nailed it when they did their guitar hero episode.
