I lived across the street from a guy who did, and he's stumble over to our house and offer us plums soaked in his moonshine. Never took him up on that offer.

I've always wanted to do that. I've had some moonshine that was very good, once I had some potato vodka that was... well, I guess you could call it "aggressive". Not undrinkable, but kind of like 151 in that it's challenging to drink. Recently I had some moonshine that was incredible. One of the best hard liquors I've ever had.


It is highly illegal, of course. And kind of dangerous, if you screw up the process and make the wrong stuff.

couldn't image drinking that stuff you mentioned!

The potato vodka was rough. More suitable for a "rite of passage" than for an evening of drinking. The moonshine, on the other hand, was like liquid velvet goodness.
