I'm happy to see we are doing well without him, putting to rest the naysayers who claimed we needed him. I'm by no means racist, but I'm glad to see that we can field a competitive all-Polish team, unlike some countries who need imports.

Although Olisadebe did well last time in qualifying, I've always seen the guy as never rising to the opportunity, he played well - but let's face it, our last qualifying group was not all that hard. I'd argue this group is substantially more difficult and we are doing very well in it.

There was also that controversy over whether or not his priorities were in check, often times a contract squabble and ''injuries'' would keep him out of action. He's been unreliable and I am glad we do not need him anymore, and certainly would not want him back as we have a good team now and need to give guys like Zurawski and Frankowski consistent matches so they can gel better with the team.

Great isn't it? Where are all those people who claimed we only were a good team because of him? I like our team as it is. Everyone seems to say we should be thankful because without him we would not have qualified. I'd argue that simply because he scored plenty - but plenty in a fairly weak group.

Present day Zurawski or Frankowski could probably just as easily put up similar numbers. These guys weren't as good back then obviously, but I think we would have made it without him. I'm not convinced we needed him last qualifying, and we sure as helll don't need him now.
