France and Spain as you can see are struggling in the Race for Second Place Thread. Denmark is also third in their group (behind Greece and Ukraine!). France is in a 3-way tie for first with Ireland and Israel! Spain is 2 points behind Serbia and Montenegro.

However, these groups are just passed the mid-way point, so there is still a lot of time with a lot of games to be played, but it is interesting to note some teams are losing power. My bet is on France definitely missing the world cup, Spain will likely overtake Serbia for first, Denmark too will likely miss the world cup. Wonder if any other teams wil lose their place, let's not forget England is on their toes as well. And there would be nothing sweeter if on the last match of qualifying we knock England not only out of first place but out of the world cup as well.

i couldnt care less if some of the big boys dont get through,serves them right,no team has a given right to go through so if the smaller fish get through then so be it,ill be happy with that :goodjob:
