I don't really get it, do we have to play to be in the tournament area? Is it restricted for players or can we hang out and play blackjack? Is the blackjack restricted for tournament players? I hate poker but my boyfriends gonna be playing so I wanna be around with him.

Also, will there be drinks there, too?

You do not have to be in the tournament to be there. All the other rules apply of course (costume, age, etc.)

Water willl be served. We're still determining whether there will be an actual bar or not. Remember, though, that regardless of whether there is a bar, the tournament AND the entire room will be 21 and over, and con staff will be checking badges to be sure it stays that way. (it's in the Pavon, the downstairs nightclub) No hard feelings for our younger con goers, but this event is intended for mature aud...well, for adults, mature or otherwise. :P

Nah. You don't have to play poker. You can come down and play black-jack with the saloon girls or scare up your own card game or something.

A lot of the poker players will be eliminated fairly quickly, and we want to provide stuff for them to keep doing. If anyone has a roulette set or any other gambling-type stuff, you're welcome to bring it for people to play. We might be able to get a saloon girl to run it.
