Title: SHIRTS
Description: Ideas Needed

ThePhoenix - May 26, 2006 07:40 PM (GMT)
SHIRTS

Word is that there will be shirts at the Con this year for attendees to buy. :o

Question is what should they say?

Do we make just Generic ConGames shirts, or do we put funny statements on them as well?

Any Ideas, speak up...

:phx:
The Rebirth of Gaming

:phx:
Got Game?

Velkyn Velve - May 26, 2006 10:10 PM (GMT)
I sat here for ten minute, and I came up with some pretty funny ones, but none of them are PG.

Velkyn Velve - May 30, 2006 06:40 AM (GMT)
You've given me permission to post them. Perhaps not completely wise, but hey, it works for me. LOL. (Someone who knows me better might teach you about inviting vampires into yuor home and how it applies to me.)

For him:

:phx:
Want to sink my battleship?

For her:

:phx:

Velkyn Velve - June 6, 2006 03:28 PM (GMT)

Zoot - June 7, 2006 03:54 PM (GMT)
A few you could play with the Ninja and Pirate thing that they had at Congames last year. Have one that says ninja and one that says pirate.

Phoenix ConGames: Where gamers come to roost

And of course you've already got "The rebirth of gaming" to kind of tie
into the phoenix idea.

Or, for our "special interest" customers,

:phx: "Flaming Gaming" :phx:

FigmentofYourImagination - June 8, 2006 07:35 AM (GMT)
:pawn: Veni, Vinci, Ludi.

I like

"Got Game?"

and

"Are You Game?"

of course, those aren't as good as some of the others.

Also, we'll be selling tablecloths this year.

Evil Closet Monkey - June 10, 2006 08:26 AM (GMT)
"Selling"? You mean, as opposed to "losing"?

Thunder - June 14, 2006 08:09 AM (GMT)
Have you picked out your shirt printer yet? I'm curious who you go with because I'm looking into getting a small quantity of shirts printed and its pretty expensive from what I've seen so far. Thanks.

Velkyn Velve - June 14, 2006 09:39 PM (GMT)
The more shirts you have rpinted, the cheaper it gets. Basically, the more you can spread out the set up costs.....the better.

Tiffany - June 15, 2006 01:54 PM (GMT)
The idea is that if we sell the cloths then people will not steal them... or rather, we are in hopes that they will not magically disappear. Heck, they seemed popular enough last year.

Our security might want to watch for that kind of thing, the taking of our cool Congames stuff.

ThePhoenix - June 17, 2006 12:32 AM (GMT)
Thats the problem with a cool logo, it seems to grow wings and flys off into the backpacks of unsuspecting gamers...

CajunGoddess - June 19, 2006 04:16 PM (GMT)
Actually, our setup costs are pretty low. We don't need to print a lot of shirts to worry about it.

Also, our shirt person keeps our screens from year to year, so we can reuse a lot of that.

Phoenix Con Games:
Where Gamers go to Be Cool.

Phoenix ConGames
+5 t-shirt of Gaming*

*Phoenix ConGames and it's subsidiaries, et al, not responsible for any incredibly lucky chain of dice rolling done by the wearer of this t-shirt, inordinate amounts of critical hits, or so many box car dice rolls that if you weren't already watching them like a hawk you'd swear they were cheating. If you think it's this shirt, just make them take it off.

Guest - June 19, 2006 09:52 PM (GMT)
Phoenix ConGames:

Hot People
Cool Games

st_gulik - June 20, 2006 08:27 PM (GMT)
Those were also mine...catching onto the trend? I made a bunch of posts then remembered I hadn't logged in.

Some more ConShirts:

White Con Shirts that say: "Pirate" on the pocket or something and on the Back Something like, "Pirates do it with Flair and Panache!"(with spiffy black and red lettering).

Black Con Shirts that say: "Ninja" like the Pirate shirt and on the back it says, "Ninja's do it from Behind with a 2d6 backstab bonus!"

Uruk-Hai - June 27, 2006 04:28 AM (GMT)
:phx: Phoenix ConGames "If I have to roll another DEX check I'm going to poison the DM's drink". This is ofcourse is not original the people who played H.O.L. know it to be found on the back cover of the book, I just thought is was F-ing funny.

Uruk-Hai - June 27, 2006 07:40 AM (GMT)
This idea may be in off color, but I had to share..

Magic card turn on its side with a image of a donkey on the card face.

"Tap that ass"

Tiffany - June 30, 2006 04:53 PM (GMT)

And yet... it works some how....

Velkyn Velve - July 1, 2006 01:00 AM (GMT)
How about a picture of a gamer stting on top of a giant spinner from Life or some other game?

It Could have that on the front, and then on the back...

:phx:
"We ridin' spinners"

CajunGoddess - July 8, 2006 11:37 PM (GMT)
We've decided on the T-Shirts for this year, as well as the tablecloths.

The tablecloths will sell for $10 each. They will all be black. They are about 43 - 47 inches square, and there will be a Phoenix Logo :phx: on each corner. We have 62 of them for sale, after that you're out of luck. If you want to reserve one before the convention you better speak up. (This goes for T-Shirts also)

The T-Shirts will be $13 each. They will all be black. They will have a saying on the front of them (1 of 3). The back will have Con :pawn: Games, then the logo :phx: beneath it, then www.phxcongames.com at the bottom.

The sayings we've chosen for the front of the shirts are:

#1: It's MUCH Better Than Playing With Yourself

#2: Got Game?

#3: My Other Shirt Is A Cloak Of Invisibility

We will be ordering 300 T-Shirts total, with everything from children's to XXX and some "girl" T's. However, not all slogans will be on all sizes. Saying #1 will be on mostly larger shirts, since it is less appropriate for younger people, although we will have a few on the smaller shirts. Slogans #2 & #3 will be on more of the smaller shirts and girl shirts.

I will hold pre-con orders until Thursday night. After that they go into the main sales bin for attendees to buy. Please DO NOT ask me to hold them after Thursday night, because I won't. If you want to reserve one, you'd better speak up.

You can tell your friends, this offer is not just for volunteers. Please get back to me with any questions or contact Mary@ConEvents.com

Coolness. I'm holding out for a staff shirt and a Dark One's shirt. Elsewise I'm fine. Except I will be purchasing a shirt from the dead gentlemen no doubt.

So, what isn't pre reserved goes to the Con Games booth, yes?

Wayne Zombie - July 18, 2006 06:30 AM (GMT)
I REALLY think you need lots of shirts that say "Got Soap?"

I trust security will be doing Febreeze patrols?

Tiffany - July 18, 2006 01:56 PM (GMT)
I already like you, Wayne Zombie.

<_<

FigmentofYourImagination - July 18, 2006 02:06 PM (GMT)
:huh?: I don't recall any troubles last year. Not even during the great air conditioner outage.

Tiffany - July 18, 2006 02:38 PM (GMT)
Quite true, quite true. Our attendees have been for the most part very well kempt. However, we do expect a doubling of our numbers this year so we shall see what happens. I just like to kick around the old stereotype where some gamers lack a certain hygenic quality. Not all lack it, I am a gamer myself and so is everyone I know and hang out with. Just some do - those who don't want to put the dice down.

:)

OH, and I love those cool emoticons you have going on!
