Title: Alternate Track Entertainment

Zoot - April 16, 2008 07:42 PM (GMT)
Hi folks, just an update on the Alternate Track Entertainment department. What is the Alternate Track you may ask? This track of entertainment provides stuff for people to do who can’t game for 4 days straight, for your significant other that wants to enjoy a convention but does not have much to do. We are here for those who love to game, but are also crafty at heart. We are also offering some physical activities, such as free spin poi and belly dance lessons, to stretch your muscles after too long gaming. We are offering classes on how to make simple tribal hair falls, on how to make hair flowers, and basic knitting. We are also setting up a drum jam for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We are also offering a belly dance and poi contest on Saturday with some pretty awesome prizes!

What kinda prizes will there be?

We are getting SO much positive feedback on the Alt Gaming Track - especially the Drum Jam!

I can't wait to see how it goes. Of course, we won't be able to throw down a campfire and dance like gypsies all night, but we DO have some lights we'll be setting up LOL

I'll be interested to see how much participation we get in these things this year.

No campfire and gypsies?

But I already bought my capuchin monkey!

CajunGoddess - May 12, 2008 06:35 AM (GMT)
Well of course you HAVE to bring the monkey! Duh! But unfortunately we can't have fire.

Of course we could put a lot of those "flame lamps" on the ground together and SIMULATE a fire, but I don't think it would really work the same.....

Anybody got a fake fire pit with fake fire?....

CajunGoddess - May 12, 2008 06:36 AM (GMT)
Oh, and we'll all probably be DRESSED like gypsies....

I am looking foward to some of the Alt classes. I am not a devout gamer, but there are a few games I like to play and I am always willing to learn new ones too, but I doesn't always fill my day up.
I look forward to haveing something off the beaten track to keep me busy.

Awesome!

I hope you will come by and enjoy some of our events. And if you have any ideas on stuff you would like to outside of the gaming events make sure to let us know for next year!
