The Orcs of Hells Teef are different to the ones in the Old World in many ways. One of the most obvius is that they actually may build buildings and ships which may last, and that they have a form of money system. One piece of Gold(the biger the more worth they are), are worth 2 grogs, 2 grogs are worth 1/50 of a ship(but that may vary with the size and cannons of the ship). Were normal Orcs prefer to attack the enemy up close with choppas, many pirate orcs prefer to use blackpowder against the enemy(that is one of the reasons that Gunna-Bosses are so important). But still many Pirate Orcs prefer to use the good old choppa, though. The body of the Pirate Orcs is identical to the normal orcs(they usually have a pistol tucked somewhere in their clothes, though), but many them have more flamboyant clothes than the ones in the Old World. They also have some different words in their language(matey and arr are some examples).

One of the other, is that an orc may be respected for their knowledge(most often the Brewa-Bosses and Gunna-Bosses). One of the things that a Pirate Orc may do almost anything to get is grog, and it is most often to find a crew of a succesfull raid in on of the many grog-shops in Hells Teef. Therefore the Brewa-Bosses are respected(no brewa-bosses, no grog), and they usually have a lot of gold.

The goblins are filling almost the same job as the ones in the Old World, but a goblin who are cunning or smart enough may become a Goblin Merchant or a Gunna-Boss. The goblin merchants are filling an important role in the Pirate Orc sosiety, that they may keep money to buy parts for the ships and supplies(without just but grog). The Gunna-Bosses fill an equal important role, they may repair war-machines(without that it blows up the first time it is fired) and the most smart may even invent something.

At the top are the Adm`ruls and Kommodore`s, which may command two or three ships(but Kommodore`s usually have one). The ships of Pirate Orcs are very different to the ones the Empire and other nations use, namely that a orc Adm`rul or Kommodore may stuck it together with other ships. So the ships of Pirate Orcs may be parts of two, three or more ships.

What about that?

Chris

It`s a good start, but I think focusing on these orcs "obsession" with gunpowder is important. So can you angle it a bit more towards that? That some of the orc pirates almost shun combat cause they think shooting the enemy into small bits is even more fun than bashing them with a choppa. And that`s the reason for swivel gunners, bombas and gunna bosses - and of course the use of pistols and handguns.

talast,
Red

edit: so can I make you an official fluff writer for this then Chris?

Garbag: I thought that Kurgan was in charge actually, only yesterday I heard that Snotstaff started it all. But I wouldn`t say I`m in charge, more of an organizer you can call me - just trying to help the best I can biggrin.gif

Chris: Yes now it`s really starting to get somewhere, I like it a lot biggrin.gif Perhaps something on how orc pirates are more flamboyant regarding clothing and such would be nice to add? What do you think?

Krusty has offered to help, but as I said to him I think he should hear in with our fluff editor (Kurgan) on what to write about.

As far as I can see on the social structure it looks great, some typos and stuff but hey I ain`t perfect either (us norwegians laugh.gif ). Can you break the text up a bit that would be nice and more easy to read

Red

Chris
