Title: Been Out Of The Game Awhile
raivenblade - October 19, 2009 08:45 AM (GMT)
these last few months (year even) have been pretty slow for me, and I haven't been buying any new stuff. After receiving the landing platform for 40K i decided to do some browsing at maelstromgames, and noticed something peculiar...
Did GW lower it's prices this past year? I see marauder horsemen and chaos knight boxes for 11 and 13 €, skaven boxes of 20 models for less then 20€.
It seems a lot cheaper then I remember...Did I miss some monumental policy change?

Hiya raivenblade,
I think the new policy is based on Core/Special/Rare. I’m thinking that Core units are a little bit cheaper while other units cost more. The best example is to look at the new Empire models. Huntsmen/archers have more minis and bitz in their new box, but are cheaper. Greatswords have less models and bitz, but cost more.

Hello,
welcome back. It may seem cheaper but I believe that it is al the same in the end :).

Where as they boxed them in sets of 20 (usually) now they come in sets of 10 (sometimes)

Now they didn't lower the prices, just check the main site and use the euro currency.
Only the skaven have a rather peculiar new price mode where you get 20 for far less than a regiment set.
