Title: Goblin Big Boss On Gigantic Spider
Description: How to assamble?

Badrug - September 10, 2009 06:22 AM (GMT)
Hi all,
I recently got my Goblin Big Boss on Gigantic Spider. Unfortunately, there is no picture, photo or illustration on it. Just blank white box! And as playing WH for 5 years, shame on me that I couldnt find out which part will be assemble to where. Especially the wooden throne seems weird to me.

Is there any place that I can read tha assambling guide. And why Fantasy boxes does not include guides as 40k boxes.

Actually, I think that's more of a Mail Order boxed set thing. A couple of mates of mine recently got some Battlefleet Gothic ships from GW mail order and they all came in white boxes with no instructions - including the plastic ships that used to have instructions when they were sold in stores years ago.

There's a few members here who've bought a Gigantic Spider rider model, so you might need to PM one of them if you can't get any other help... Can't think of anyone off hand, but there's a few blogs in the Paint and Hobby/Blogs forum where I've Gigantic Spiders :)

Sorry I can't be anymore use than this...

Hi Badrug,

I just had a fish around the GW site and couldn't find anything but they might have it buried away somewhere. They do for the new Azhag model.

The other thing to do would be to have a close look at the pic of the model on their site and see what you can nut out from that.

And as Goofy says one of the guys who has already done one will be able to help.

Thx for quick replies.
Do you remember the members who've bought the Gigantic Spider rider model?

Most of it is actually fairly easy to figure out - look at the belly of beast, the holes that the legs fit into are numbered, as are the corresponding legs. Check the legs near the body end.

The goblin rides in a howda/ sedan chair that a little experimentation will give you an idea how to assemble. The the sides have slots where the seat fits in, look for tabs and corresponding holes.

As for mounting it on a 50mm base, I ended up running a piece of wire up through the base and into the belly of the spider to give it a little more support, so the legs weren't bearing all of the weight. Disguised the wire with a couple pieces of cork so that the spider looks as if it is climbing over some rocks.

A close look at the GW site gives you a pretty good idea of what the finished item looks like and how stuff fits together.
