ok if u want u cud start with your own button but im gonna also make
one here.

lets say were just making a nav bar no other stuff like no ther layout
at all (after u can transport it to a layout of your choice)

The easyiest way i cabn thnk of is just to go to my other tutorial the
basic template one and save thAT PICTURE THEN LATER ON OPEN
IT IN PHOTOSHOP.

so after saving it and everything u shud have an image like this

so now

STEP 1

grab the text tool and its better to use pixel fonts on your
buttons cause u can read them no matter how small they get. im
using bitdust 2 which can be downloaded at dafont.com

Step 2
to start off write your words that u wat u want to use im starting
off with Home , Then members, then tutorials, then forums and
then after writing them u shud have centered them like so unless
u have enough liks to go rite through.u shud now have sumhting
like this.

STEP 3
The easyiest thing to do is u shud put only 3 spaces between each
text like the picture above. Now wat u need to do is create a new
layer and grab your brush tool.Set it to 1 pixel black and now zoom
in to 200x or 300x and cretae lines like this picture below

STEP 4
Now we are done for the photoshop part of this tut now we go to image
ready. I was using ps 7 for the start but im going to use image ready cs
cause itsd got a few more options than the original image ready 7.0
STEP 5
first of we gotta slice all the links. to do this grab your slicing tool and
go around all the links individually till u get sumthing like this

STEP 6
this is one of the reeason im using image erady cs, now get the slice
selection tool and selct home or oyur first link. now open your layers
pallete through windows and also open your web content pallete threough windows. In the web content box click on the first link. Now right click and
select add roll over state. now go to your layers pallete and select your
text layer and change sumthing in it cud be anything just change one
aspect.after thats done test it in the web and see if it works repeat till
all your buttons are done:)Now view it in the web to see if they all work
and presto your done i dunno how to show u a finished product :|
cause i dunno where to upload this sort of thing so tell em if u messed
up or need help cintact em at pink_malibu@hotmail.com
