This will help you make masked text, which will disapear and appear at different parts before the other, depending on how you make it.

k well lets start

Step 1
open up your background image, i'm using this one.

and write what ever text you want on it.

step 2
create a new layer (make sure it's above your text layer)
now highlight your gradient and make sure you have the reflected gradient selected (it's at the top)
now make a small vertical bar at one end of the sig
hold down Ctrl+i to invert the image
now hold down ctrl +g to make it mask the text and you should see a little arrow appear besde the layer on the layers panel and the text should disapear (if not all some depending on where you put the bar)

step 3
create a new layer (make sure it's above your text layer)
now highlight your gradient and make sure you have the reflected gradient selected (it's at the top)
now make a small horizontal bar at the top of the sig
hold down Ctrl+i to invert the image
now hold down ctrl +g to make it mask the text

step 4
move it to image ready
now duplicate the frame
move the vertical bar to the other end
move the horizontal bar to the bottom (if you made it at the bottom move it to the top)
now tween it (i added about 50 frames)

step 5
now duplicate the frame again
move the vertical bar to where it was originally
move the horizontal bar to where it was originally
now tween it (i added about 50 frames)

this is what i got
