Zvezda padded up to the fruit forest, Dorogon folllowing behind. Her ears twitched with irritation. "Why are you following me?!" she snarled, glaring him in the eyes and sticking her nose near his face, her lips pulled back in a snarl.

"You're one of us now." Dorogon said cooly. "And I don't think Godess Lexa would appreciate quarreling so close to her forest." He looked around, amused, at all the fruit trees. Would Godess Lexa let a few loners pass into her woods? Hopefully his riddle would be easy. He wasn't necessarily good at riddles. He almost never answered them right. Zvezda though, was an expert riddler. She almost always got them right.

"I wonder where Miss Darina is?" Dorogon mused, looking around for the fae. She was not here yet. "Hmm."

"She'll catch up, surely!" Zvezda snapped, taking a few steps forward and calling out, "Godess Lexa! We're here to answer a riddle! May you come and let us pass!"

"I don't think thats the right way to call." Dorogon said.

"Oh shut up." Zvezda put her nose up to him and sat a good ways away.

When Darina heard Zvezda's snappy voice she knew she was headed the right way she let out a deep breath of relief, then she saw the big fruit trees, and remembered about the riddles, she shook her head, they might be easy, probably I mean were just loners anyways.

She had finally caught up with Dorogon and Zvezda, she let out another deep breath, and sat calmly looking into the sky, she wanted to say something, but didn't feel it was the right time, she just looked straight wait for Lexa to come out and give them the riddles, she waiting wondering if anyone else would try to bring up conversation.

Dorogon saw Darina coming. His smile grew and he padded over to sit by her. "Hey there..." He gave her a friendly flick with his tail. "You look a bit sad, Miss Darina."

Zvezda curled into a ball, still grumbling, and said nothing. She just sat there, staring solemnly at the Forest of Answers. Zarya... Zarya.... where are you?

Darina, felt better as she felt Dorogons tail and heard his voice much of her worries, were gone; the riddles couldn't be that hard. She smiled at him, "oh nothing I'm fine I just hope the riddles aren't too hard that’s all". Her eyes grew softer and she pushed her legs in front of her lying down.

Lexa came over to the group of loner. "Yeah, you can go in, but here are your riddles:

'I dance around without a sound,
I can be black or grey depending on the day,
I cannot breathe, I cannot sleep,
I do not do what I please,
Some call me trapped some call me owned,
But never the matter I am always yours
What am I?'

'I swiftly go from tree to tree,
A sea of flames some name me,
There is intense heat, I'm hard to beat,
A grand inferno I may be,
I'm actually quite easy to see,
I leave ember on the ground,
While falling trees make no sound,
What am I?'

'I'm used to open treasures, and I can be worth a lot,
Some may find me hard to find, when they meet a lock,
Find me, loose me, throw me away,
Just only do it when you have nothing to say,
I have two parts, but I am one, as the other has a partner, who I name knob,
They meet at the door, but I wont always be there.
While I open things, I can close them too,
Who I am, it's up to you'

Darina listened to the riddles all three of them marking every word, she didn't understand any of them, not even her own. Soon her face began to cover in fear and there wasn't anything she could do she began to panic and pace back and fourth very uneasy unable to stand still, she wasn't calm at all. She was filled now with frustration, she was trying to think but she couldn't. She couldn't soothe her mind, she couldn't clear the thoughts to try and think. She tried to relax, she tried as hard as she could but she just couldn't. Her heart was hammering in her chest the only words she could think of were: what does it mean? “I don’t get it” She had realized she said those last few words out loud and, looked even more frightened. She wasn't good at these, not at all.

Dorogon gasped quietly. He knew this! These riddles were easy! The first riddle was his. Oh wow... he knew the answer! "The first is a shadow." he said calmly, although his flashing eyes and waving tail betrayed his excitement. This fruit was his! He knew it! He was always thinking of shadows. They were all around.. dancing around his paws at this very moment. There were many riddles to them... one was on his mind right now. He closed his eyes and breathed two lines from it, his lips barely moving.

Present in sun but not in rain...
Doing no harm and feeling no pain..

Yes, he was sure it was a shadow. It was so easy! Godess Lexa was a wonderful riddle maker, but she couldn't trick Dorogon so easily. His tail wagged.


Zvezda nodded. She knew the answer to all three riddles just by listening to the first lines! She decided she wanted to answer the last one though, just to be safe. You never knew, with such things. It was tough. "The answer to riddle three is simple my Queen. It is a key." she rhymed, amused by her own cleverness. Maybe she would find Zarya now... she hoped she could! Zarya... wherever you are... be safe. She prayed, closing her eyes. Be safe, and don't let your temper get the better of you. You have an awful temper. Worse than ever was mine.

Darina thought her answer was better then nothing she closed her eyes seeing if the object would match with everything in the riddle, it does she thought she hoped she wasn't wrong, she closed her eyes as she spoke very quietly. Her eyes sad and her face crumbled with confusion and fear, she wouldn't be relived until she knew if she was right. "Is the answer a Sunset"? Her answer was more of a question itself then an answer.

"Dorogon, Zvezda, you are both correct. Sorry Darina, but you are incorrect. You may enter with them though, if you wish," replied lexa to thieir answers. The wolves these days were very smart, or at least her riddles were easy.

Darina dropped her Blue eyes to the ground along with her head and tail, she was sure she had it right though. She felt embarrassed Dorogon must've thought she was real stupid by now, all that worrying for nothing, she let her spirits drop her face was sad, she was never good at those things she didn't even knew why she bothered trying.

"No thank you, I'll go beck to the Loner dens" She said dipping her head respectfully, she knew she was an awfully bad sport but for some reason so felt she couldn't help it. She trudged slowly trying not to look back at them getting they’re fruits and they’re powers.

Dorogon's eyes lit up. He had gotten it right! That meant he could go in! He dipped his head respectfully. "Thank you Godess Lexa!" Then he marched past her and into the forest, looking up at all of the marvelous fruits in the trees.

They all looked so strange! All different colors and sizes... and smells! One caught his eye. It was the color of a rainbow! He stepped up to the tree that held the fruit and looked up into the branches. Hm. He wanted this one. It looked strange. He hoped its power would be good! Dorogon leaned back and stood delicately on his hindpaws. He brought his front paws down to crash into the side of the tree. Its branches rattled, and a few leaves fluttered down. His eyes flashed. He reared back and hit it again. This time, the fruit shook. A couple more times, and it fell from the tree. He caught the rainbow fruit neatly in his jaws.

Then he lay down and put it between his paws. Upon closer inspection, all of the colors spiraled in all directions, reds, oranges, yellows, greens, blues, and deep purples. It looked a bit odd. He had never seen a fruit like this before... but it wasn't like it was going to kill him or anything. He bit into the fruit and chewed, taking in the taste. It was strangely sweet and fruity at the same time.. he couldn't quite place the flavor, but it was good. He chewed and chewed. It was awfully chewy. At last he swallowed. The fruit went down with no problems. He took a larger bite, and then a still larger bite. When he was done eating, he licked his lips rose to his paws. Darina was leaving. He ran after her and pressed symathetically against her for a moment, their pelts barely touching. "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get it next time." he said.

He raced back to the forest in an instant. Then he turned his gaze to Godess Lexa. What would this fruit do to him?

Zvezda nodded curtly. She knew she would get the answer right. She always did. Without another word she stepped cooly into the Forest. Dorogon was already selecting his fruit and trying to get it down. She snorted. then she looked around the trees. One fruit in particular made her stop to look. It was clear, and shone in the light. It was many colors, and alot she had never seen before. What a strange fruit.... she wanted it! But she wasn't sure, so she didn't take it. Another caught her eye when she looked around. It looked round and fuzzy and brown. It would do. Maybe it would give her some marvelous power or something, so she could find Zarya! She hit her rear against the tree, and let the fruit fall to the ground.

She leaned over the fruit and attempted to take a bite. The fuzzy surface stopped her. "You've got to be kidding me!" she growled, taking a sharp rock in her paw and cracking the surface. Inside was a strange looking liquid. Now she really wasn't sure about this. Nevertheless, she bent over and lapped it up. After a few deep gulps, the strange fruit was no more. Then she stacked the halves back together and disposed of them. She flicked her tail in the air. Then she left and sat a few fox-lengths away from the others. Her emerald eyes were on Lexa, hopeful and pleading.

Lexa nodded as they both showed her their fruit. "Dorogon you have taken the Yezacka. It will permet you to fly. It will not last forever though, so hope it won't end while you're 50 feet in the air," she laughed lightly. Next, she turned to Zvezda, "You my friend have the Hoyachi. It will increese your speed greatly. But once more, it will not last forever, so prey it doesn't end while you're being chased by a speedy large angry wolf".

Sephiroth quickly rushed into the forest. HE stopped and called to Lexa, "Lady Kasadya requests a eletric shock collar. You must hurry, something bad has happened!" He shouted for Lexa.

Lexa sighed. She raised her hands so that they were about a foot away from eachother. A small orb appeared. She started moving her hands around it. It changed from white to multicolored. She raised her right hand the pointed to the orb. A lightning bolt struck it. Slowly the orb of energy faded in to the collar he had requested. She placed it on the ground so he could get it without shocking himself.

Dorogon nodded politely to Lexa. So he could fly now? Didn't that mean he was kind of like one of the packs, except it wasn't permanent? His spine tingled. Then he gasped. Suddenly, wings sprouted themselves from either side, big, beautiful stormy gray wings with darker tipped feathers. He spun around a couple of times to admire them. Beautiful! But now he had to go find Darina. She would be worrying about him! He had to comfort her. She would be extra sad when she saw he could now fly and she couldn't, all because she had gotten the riddle wrong. Just perfect. He didn't want her to be sad.

Then another wolf came. He asked... for an electric collar? He looked like a Ruukina wolf. He watched with large eyes and bated breath as Goddess Lexa fashioned the collar and gave it to Sephiroth. But it wasn't his business. "I'll be going now." he said politely, running off to find Darina. No... flying off. He flapped his new wings experimentally and rose into the air! Wonderful! He would land before he reached Darina though. He didn't want to make her feel even worse.

Zvezda snorted. "Oh great. I can run really fast. Really helpfull to find my cousin. Thanks alot..." she muttered to herself. Lucky nutcase Dorogon got to fly and all she got was fast feet for running away. Right. Perfect. Then a thought came to her.

She was new around these parts, but the thought struck her slower than she thought it might. How could she be so stupid?! OF COURSE!!! ZVEZDA YOU IDIOT!!! She ran to Goddess Lexa. If she was so powerful, she could find Zarya for her! This was amazing! Her eyes were wide and hopeful on Lexa. Oh please.. oh please let her know... she's no goddess if she doesn't know!

"Goddess Lexa! I was wondering... well...." the whole story was probably the best place to begin. "See, I was born in the mountains with my cousin Zarya, but she ran away to find a better life here. After a while I came to follow her, but her scent had been washed away and I couldn't find it again. Please Goddess Lexa.... she's like a sister to me... you have to know where she is! Am I on the right track? Can I ever find her? Is she even here? Is she alive!? Please tell me!" She ignored the brute next to her. He was of no concert. He was nothing. She just wanted to find her cousin.

Please...

Lexa breathed deeply. She thoguht for a short amount of time focusing on this wolf. It was harder since Lexa had only seen her as a loner, not as an Aarien wolf. She knew of Zarya's recent experience with Aseroth, and that Zarya had had pups. She didn't wish to tell taht to Zvezda though. "Your cousin, Zarya, is part of the Aarien pack. She resides in those lands. I hope that helps you on your search," said Lexa finally.

Zvezda yipped merrily. So Zarya had found a pack and joined it after all? She wasn't really the family type, but Zvezda hoped her cousin was alright there. Hopefully they were treating her properly! She had no idea who or where her cousin was, but she would find the Aarien. Yes, yes she would. She was especially grateful that Lexa had told her.

"Thank you so much! Thank you!" she rushed out a few hurried bows and excited yips before dashing off with her tail high and her paws much faster than a normal wolf's. She was practically flying across the ground, her belly low and her form a thin blurr of gold.
