means im not going to allow people who don't think of what they want to do before they create their character. Im not going to allow clan members to hang around and do nothing but train. You must have a plot, a story for your character. A goal.

also for plot, it has to require both sides of the clan.

Divinity Shield is one part of the clan. Black Sword is another part of the clan, they are two sides of one. Light and Dark. Black Sword dispises the light, they hate it and are spiteful against the divinity shield. the Divinity Shield believe they need to lead Black Sword members into the light and help them through their chaotic ways. You must have some sort of plot which effects the clan, so yes you have to be connected to the clan and have an important role more than just having the blood.

well.. they arnt powerful, but they have great defensive abilities and not even a fully trained jounin medic-nin couldn't heal anywhere close to what a divinity shield genin could do

maybe i'll give it a shot in the morning or something....how would we describe the char? their past? appearence? personality? hopes and dreams?
and the plot would be a layout of their past and the whole 'what i would do' idea?

Plot is, your goals, what do you plan on doing with the character. by linking the sword and shield, I mean write how you plan to be important to the shield and how the sword branch effects your character.

Uh, well... The best way to have a connection is to have a connection to other characters. Maybe if some of the Dark Sword Nin posted who were willing to make some plot lines with Divinity Shield hopefuls, it would be better.
