Sorry, I couldn't fit the rest of it
(Heavy Metal, Metalcore) Killswitch Engage - The End of a Heartache
Since I'm short of KsE info, I will give it you later, I will go straight to the tracks
Bid Farewell - Starts gloomy, eerie almost, breaks into a nice heavy guitar part, headbanging of course, then the vocals come in, pretty good, he screams, doesn't growl which is a plus, for me of course. The chorus is really good, his singing voice is incredible, but it goes right back into the heavy guitar part. One of my favorite songs, the bridge is nice and aggressive
4/5
Take This Oath - Starts out fast, then immediatly goes to the vocals, this song is more thrashy, fast, and melodic. Very well put together. The guitarist manages to squeeze a few high licks in there which is nice. Singing isn't as good, but still better than most singers.
3/5
When Darkness Falls - Starts out REAL fast, death metal almost, but this is one of my favorite tracks. Good breakdown that gets me moving. The pinchharmonics are awesome and almost win me over. The chorus wins me over, best singing on this track. I fell in love with this song right when i heard the chorus. It's soft and flows. The rest of the song his heavy and headbanging type.
5/5
Rose of Sharyn - One of the popular ones on this track, starts right out with vocals and everything. The singing is still not bad, but not good. The guitar is the same. I personally like the riff slides he puts in there. Not my favorite but still good overall
3/5
Inhale - This is one of their soft songs, basically guitar, but it leads right in to there next song. Not much to say, the only thing playing is a soft guitar tune
1/5
Breathe Life - My favorite track on this album, starts out with some original KsE guitar"ing". A little later in, a fast breakdown, my favorite breakdown of KsE. They do a good job working this out. They repeat this breakdown a few times in the song, which is good, considering it's awesome. The chorus is pretty basic, normal singing, not good, not bad. Good song if you want to hear some true KsE.
5/5
The End of Heartache - Self Titled Song, starts out kind of soft, the song is generally soft, the singing i think is exceptional in this song. But out of know were, it goes right into a thrasy, dark, fast part. The rest of the song makes me happy for some reason. During the versus, the singing kind of slacks.
3/5
Declaration - Starts out with good guitar, then immediately to the breakdown, very unique breakdown. The guitars are more darker in this song, and the drumming is a lot faster. This song is basic, heavy slow guitars, with fast drumming
3/5...again
World Ablaze - Starts out with kind of a "build up" like tune, but it turns out to be a complete head banging riff. Soon goes into a KsE type breakdown, I donno, but it gets me goin and I can't stop moving my head. The guitars are deeper, and more bass is in this song.
4/5
And Embers Rise - Another soft song, soft tuned guitar, basically leads into the next song, pretty pointless, makes me for asleep, for that I will give it
2/5
Wasted Sacrifice - The beginning reminds of the band Unearth. This song you can tell, is influenced by them (Unearth). The breakdown I like, the drummer is running on his double, fast guitars. Then it soon goes into the JUN JUN JUN type breakdown, not long though. The guitarist are very good in this song, nice and fast and heavy
3/5
Hope Is - Drummer showing off some stuff in the beginning, then goes into a "fast-type-heavy-slow-part" hard to explain, I would just listen to it. I especially like the drumming in this song, goes very well with the song. The chorus it gets lighter (like the other KsE songs). The singing is a bit rubbish, o well. Good song overall
3/5
So thats The End of a Heartache c.d.
Very good c.d., overall, a 3/5, if you liked there other cd's, this is a must to get.
I will put up more info and history of them. For some reason my IE won't let me go to the site, o well, i'm ranting so I will stop
Enjoy!
Edit: I can't get the pic in, how do I do it
Good work man. The only things I would fix are, add a picture of the album up the top in [IMG][/IMG] tags and bold the song titles and ratings.
