How far do you guys think the story is from it's climax?

Well...judging on how it's been going for like the past six months...I'd say we've got a SHIT load of travelling to do and a few more months of wandering and fighting before we get to our destination. At least, I think Heather wants it to last a much longer amount of time, since she said we're only HALF way there! I was a little shocked at that, but eh...it's her rp dude.

Unless I'm totally off the wall here.

The problem is I really can't use Stinger nor Peter until around the end since they duke it out for days in the forest shortly after DD and co. leave. :( Yes...I know that's my own fault....and I just made Zethyen because I wanted to still be part of the game....uh....do you guys even feel him a necessary character? If you guys wanted more time with just the party alone so you can develope or something just tell me and I'll take him out.


Oh well, more time to write Scar of the forest, I suppose.

Geeze I didn't realize you wanted it to end so badly. :rolleyes: I said we were half way there because it's true. we have been to about three towns total. I said, at the very start, we landed at the lower end of the continent. A continent is a very large land mass. Three towns does not a continent make. Half of one.. *shrug* sure why not? we have three towns left if I estimate it right.

Serious question, why are they even going to towns? Wouldn't DD be marked all throughout the land for capture considering the master wants her alive? I don't have a problem with it not ending, but I just don't want the story to grow stale and require constant band-aid resolutions (like adding a new character or adding a battle with a villain everytime the story slows up).

I mean, for half a story A LOT has happened...we've had three villains introduced, one is Zack's father. Shiro was turned from a demon to a human, Raven reappeared; fought Peter, and then left forever, Bethrezen joined the party, left the party, went into Stinger, went out of Stinger, and then dropped off the face of the earth. Eva had exposed her past, and fell in love with Shiro and they have a seemingly unbreakable bond, and the relationship that had been in the workings since the original DD between Zack and DD finally came to a peak (great pacing on that, btw guys).

I'm loving this game, it's my favorite by far, I just don't want it to become stale and more of a chore to post in, sorry if I offended you; argh, you're probably right. I'm sure the second half of the story can have a bunch of twists and turns that none of the other players are even thinking is possible, we just need to think of them (or for those of us that have, need to execute them at the right time) so I'm eagerly awaiting what everyone does...

Eh...I guess I'm just being a little antsy since I thought of something that I really wanted to do with my characters but can't do it until the end, sorry :D I wouldn't want to stifle any of the points, events, or actions that you're trying to get across in your game, Heather, or anyone else in the game; so I apologize.

DD is marked by the master, but for the most part people don't want to question the strange as long as it is not staying around. Villagers are not going to approach a band of armed dangerous looking travelers and demand the one who is fully hidden under a long back cloak expose herself. The ones who would see right through it have not really been a big part of the story so far. So far we have been at the very edge of the master's grip. now that we are getting closer I intend to have more about him and his role as an emperor of the land as well as his minions and how they hunt her.

If I may ask, what would be the best way I can have a character that actually has something to do with DD? Because all of my other characters are strictly related to Zack

Also, the next part with Zyth and the group I can't really post about until I get in touch with Jess and Sean.

Well, if you want you could be one of The Master's generals. One of his elite who knew DD at the palace. He or she could be basically whatever you want. however he or she would not be one of the master's creations, more of a subordinate he has gifted with a large amount of magic and soldiers to use. His job would be to taunt DD and capture her. More to taunt then capture. What ever you want.

Ah, good. I thought DD's past was explicitally Out of the Pit>wandering>DD>NDD....but if demon's actually knew her as the tool of the master then that's great, expect some gens shortly in that case :D

Don't think you're the only one feeling that way Bates because you're not. I've been worrying about the rp myself as of late just because it seems to be going stale. But I totally agree that we've done too many band-said fixes for them to be effective any longer. I've been fretting because usually when an rp seemes to be slowing I'm able to come up with some idea for my char that'll bring it back up. But the problem for me is that the only char I have in there is Zack. And basically his main role/purpous is to protect DD, and make sure she's happy. So he and her are kinda glued together. So I can't really go off and Do something like I cna in other rps. (907...Brick going off to kill Farkan. Which seemed to open up a WHOLE lot of cans and possibilities after he failed.)
So basically I feel like I'm waiting....sitting and waiting. It's frustrating, but I'm sure with all the great rpers we have in this thing, it'll pick up real soon.

BTW...what the heck happened to Sean?!?! He doesn't post EVER! And it's not just this rp, it seem like he's dropped out of everything!

Sorry, my computer's seems to have developed a rather serious case of "Let's piss Sean off with a new problem every five minutes-itis" And even after reformatting my computer seems to have contracted several trojans within the first three days I had it back up...god damn iMesh. Let that be a lesson to you kids, never share files!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, I just lost a 1000 word psot in deadman but as long as I have the comp running right now I'll see what I can do. Also I can't post on my dad's laptop because he's out of town with it so that accounts for it as well.

I don't even know what Spyware even IS and it fucked me up real good! I was minding my own buisness surfing the web in my regular fashion, I wasn't even reading my mail. And I don't download music from this computer, I only do that at school Ehhehheh! So anyway...this popup ad come up on it's own accord, interrupting a post I was writing. It was for Spyware. I hit the little X and it went away. I thought that was the end of it.....hwo wrong I was. How very wrong.
Apparently, while I was posting SPyware was downloading itself to my computer without my consent. There was no pop up box that said "Would you like to install and run Spyware?" NO! Nothing! It did it, all on it's own! Without my knowlege!!!

So, I log offline, and I'm writing something in word when my computer starts bugging out. As my computer is bugging, I do the Ctrl Alt Delete to see whats going on and I notice that this Spyware is downloading onto my comp! Then...to my absolute horror...I notice the extention file ... .exe For anyone who doesn't know .exe is the extention for A LOT of computer viruses. So I KNOW my computers being infected now. I start FLIPPING!

I quickly went into a program I have that lets me see everything I have on my computer in a list and it tells me the extention of each thing. So I'm sitting there, HORRIFIED because I'm watching this thing, literally EAT at my programs. I WATCH as .exe starts getting attached to EVERYTHING! So i'm flipping through the entire list looking for the source or this thing to try and stop it. I start deleteing files that I think contain it like crazy but it keeps coming! Finally I find an unknown file that I've never seen before. I delete that and the attack stops.

I sigh with relief. But the thing had done it's damage. I defragged my comp to clean it up a bit, then restarted my computer...once....twice...seven times. It took my computer seven times to start. That was the week I lost my AIM account. That had been eaten, while other programs remain...but are sevearly messed up. I just leave my computer on now...because everytime it shuts down...it takes everal tries to restart, and I can't easily get online anymore without a message coming up saying, "Some programs ahve been currupted! To fix them re-instal Spyware!" and I have to frantically click, "NOOOOO!" For if I clikc yes, teh virus will re-install itself. I have s hit load of small little problems because of it...I'm just glad I didn't lose anything importaint.

So...lesson.....STAY AWAY FROM SPYWARE!

I wasn't really trying to write a good post. She's not laughing at the deaths, she's laughing in defiance of the opponent. If anyone actually paid attention, I was trying to develop Eva, to see if she really would enjoy watching death happen. Guess what? None of you noticed or seemed to care that she believed herself to enjoy bloodshed. And because of a simple grammatical screw up you all leap in astonishment? Please.

heh.. woah.. it might be the light headed sickness talking but... NDD has 666 replies. also I'm gonna write a post for it.. I'm not gonna let it die.. least not with 666 replies.. although that would be kinda cool. Heh the room is spinning.. I'm not gonna post my post till jess gets back that way no one will be tempted to reply to it. Not that anyone seems to be tempted right now anyway.
