Ok, Sean, do you want me to join as Typhon? Here's his profile:
Name: Typhon
Species: Genetically engineered human
Age: 40, although he appears in his twenties due to a slowed aging
Weapon: daisho katana and shuriken
Powers: On Earth, Typhon only had very well developed telepathic and telekinetic abilities, or ESPEPMC as they are known. Using his and Gbriel's power combined to rip a whole inr eality and transport himself to outerworld gave him the ability to teleport on outerworld.
Bio: Typhon was a government experiment to create a superhuman assassin. However, after five years of service Typhon launched a coup and dominated the United States. He reigned for fifteen years before launching project mastermind, an attempt to amplify his considerable power and be able to control the minds of scores of people at once. He was only thwarted by the brother Gabriel, or so it seemed. In reality, Typhon had only tricke dhis brother so that he could use his power to launch himself into Outerworld and meet the mysterious being known as Seashi...
Sacrificial Hero - June 10, 2004 07:25 PM (GMT)
Okay, there are a few flaws. First of all I'd like to say that no one on Earth short off a small amount of outerworld agents and people who have been there know of OUterworld. Only one person who is on Earth right now would have knowledge of Seashi so unless you happened to probe him you'd be unaware of Seashi's existence. That person is Jack storm, he's on earth as a scout for Seashi to monitor the activities of certain individuals who may become a threat. I'm sure he knew of Typhon. if you can work all that out (jack was in Turkey at the time btw) than you're more than welcome to come in, I have the perfect spot for you right now. Oh, and for outerworld powers, they instantly gain some abilities that have to do with their personality, Like Jesh gained powers over nature thanks to his own unpredictable personality, he's full of emotion and hard to control, just like the forces of nature. So typhon's powers would have more added to them. Besides all that just be prepared, Outerworld can be a very dangerous place to RP, i've found that it amplifies whatever feelins one person may have for another and shows them through the character. It also predicts the future pretty often so just be prepared.
Cleric - June 10, 2004 07:27 PM (GMT)
Is there any possible reason for Jack to have come to the US, perhaps looking for weapons or something to get to Seashi?
with regards to powers, I really don't see any powers related to his psychotic personality that telekinesis hasn't already given him, except for maybe the ability to create fire. he can control it, but he needs a source. Would you perfer teleportation or fire Sean?
Sacrificial Hero - June 13, 2004 07:14 PM (GMT)
Well Dkar already has Fire but you could use it. I"m gonna need you to burst in once everyone types their reactions to what's going on in their heads after Seashi left. And Yes, Jack came to America just to check out on Typhon and see what the deal was with him. He was going to try to use Typhon as his tool to scan everyone on the planet looking for certain things.
Cleric - June 13, 2004 11:57 PM (GMT)
Eh, fire is nothing comapred to the ability to kill with a thought. Ok, Typhon's your man... errr cybernetcally-enchanced psychic with a big-ass sword. Will he have to unt the heros or something?
Sacrificial Hero - June 14, 2004 03:27 AM (GMT)
Well they're all in teh church so zero in and attack whenever you wish Typhon. But remember, they're the heroes, they can't die. And Typhon can't be THAT powerful, everyone has limits.
Cleric - June 14, 2004 05:44 PM (GMT)
I know, though I in no way intend for him to die either.
Also, just to give you guys a list of the abilities i tend to use most often for him:
Telekinesis: Typhon uses his mind to manipulate physical objects. If they are inorganic and do not in any way resist he can manipulate many at once.
Pyrokinesis: Typhon has trained in the art of manipulating fire, though he cannot create it.
Mind control: don't worry, he can only do this to NPCs and it requires lots of concentration.
Telekientic blade: He used this power extensively against his twin brother, Gabriel. Basically, he extends his blade using his mind in the direction he just slashed.
Crossknight - June 16, 2004 12:39 AM (GMT)
First thing Typhon does when he gets into the RP...picks a fight with Dkar....we didn't see THAT one coming :P
Cleric - June 16, 2004 01:48 AM (GMT)
Why Bates, whatever do you mean?
DarkDestiny - June 16, 2004 11:28 PM (GMT)
<_< yea.. 'cause tom doesn't target me directly at every opportunity. Oh wait, he does.
Cleric - June 17, 2004 01:48 AM (GMT)
Actually in this case it was simply logic. The only character i know anything about that i was up against was DD. I had no idea what Id, Jess's character or Kedil had in store. In retrospect it was a wise choice, because Jess is the goddess of death and Matt can reincarnate or some such (that's not an insult, i'm just saying that anything Typhon would have done against his first incarnation would have been in vain) i knew Typhon could take DD, was pretty sure about Id but didn't ant to go for the main guy first. There, you have it, Typhon, like me, is a cold, calculating bastard.
PS
Yeah, i'd say that was one hell of a fight
Sacrificial Hero - June 17, 2004 03:38 AM (GMT)
I wish it would've taken place at a time when Tom and I had some time to fire back and forth at one another.
Cleric - June 17, 2004 02:37 PM (GMT)
Don't worry, Typhon's far from dead, but the last thing he needed was to fight against some unknown spell while wounded. The blood loss would have slowed him down had he waited any longer.
Slade13 - June 17, 2004 05:30 PM (GMT)
so he's not going to die from blood loss?... How odd.

Um, no I'm not. Id summoned the God of Death of Welsh mythology, Arawn and the God channeled himself through my body. Ryah can see, channel and speak with the dead and spirits. That's all, other than that she's any other sword-swinging warrior.
And Kedil was making shadow clones of himself.
Cleric - June 17, 2004 09:11 PM (GMT)
Sorry if i misinterpreted it, but, at the time, it seemed awfully close to you being a goddess of death or some such. anyway, also, sean, I had a question. Seashi mentioned getting Gabe into Outerworld to kill Typhon, what if we were really to bring Gabe into this somehow? He can probably sense that Typhon is alive, and if he knew that Outerworld existed he'd come in a heartbeat to kill Typhon.
Lightningcount - June 17, 2004 10:57 PM (GMT)
so wait, tom is typhon only able to be killed by gabriel?
Cleric - June 18, 2004 02:45 PM (GMT)
Gabriel is almost an exact clone of Typhon, different only by his hair color. On Earth, he was the only person who even came close to being strong enough to kill Typhon, and in the actual book he will. Like Nat changed her story a bit for NDD, i'm changing mine for Through the eyes. So, in essence, Jay, yes, he can only be killed by Gabriel.
Crossknight - June 18, 2004 08:37 PM (GMT)
Gabriel is a BUTTHEAD is what he is.
Sacrificial Hero - June 18, 2004 08:41 PM (GMT)
And also the volumes of Id's story concerning events of these RPs will probably be drastically changed and interepereted to my liking and writing style. Oi, I can already see the problems that will arise with all these books intertwining...at least Zack's story hasn't gotten there, thank god Zack isn't in outerworld, things might get messed up...hmmmmm. Anyway, I guess Gabe could be brought in, but only if Typhon keeps on failing in his attempts at defeating Id. But I think Seashi would be wary of giving Id such a powerful ally...so he'd probably just absorb Gabe and put an end to it.
Cleric - June 18, 2004 08:46 PM (GMT)
Assuming he could absorb Gabe. Remember, Gabe is powerful enough to kill Typhon, and he is ROYALLY pissed at him. Towards the end, Typhon tries to bring out Gabe's evil side by mind-controlling the woman he loves and turning her against him, in te end forcing him to ill her. He fails to awaken his evil side, only righteous fury.
Sacrificial Hero - June 19, 2004 01:00 AM (GMT)
He's still victim to sneak attack. Seashi's mind can't be read by anything.
Lightningcount - June 19, 2004 03:28 AM (GMT)
typhon is the new el cheapo
Cleric - June 20, 2004 04:40 AM (GMT)
I think Gelfman summed up my thoughts on Typhon in the thread "...."
Cleric - June 21, 2004 07:29 PM (GMT)
Ok, is Seashi going to be frequenting Earth often? Because Gabe has looked into Typhon's mind, he has glimpses of Seashi.
Sacrificial Hero - June 24, 2004 03:44 AM (GMT)
Tom, I know you have it set up with Gelfman but Jesh isn't going to just stand there and let you kill him.
Also, Seashi has only been to earth twice if you coutn his recent visit with Jack. He's on his way for the third time now. He hasn't been there long enough for Gabriel to get him. Plus, if he did come for him the battle would do major damage to Earth and wind up with Seashi alive, Gabriel dead, and the entire world knowing about Outerworld, so it's not happening.
Cleric - June 24, 2004 03:47 AM (GMT)
You underestimate Gabe, but that wasn't my point at all, I was just saying that if Gabe was looking for Typhon, and with his psychic sensitivity, wouldn't he be able to sense something so big as two people warping to Earth?
Crossknight - June 24, 2004 03:48 AM (GMT)
Sacrificial Hero - June 24, 2004 03:57 AM (GMT)
But they still wouldn't be there long enough. They're in South AFrica.
Sacrificial Hero - June 25, 2004 04:35 AM (GMT)
I hate to do this (no not double post) but Since Jess and I will be leaving tommorow morning (a few hours really) Deadman is going to be at a standstill for a week. Sorry guys.
Billy Shears - June 25, 2004 12:43 PM (GMT)
It's alright, It'll give me more time to do..uhm..nothing.
Cleric - July 4, 2004 02:25 PM (GMT)
Brian that last post has gotta be one of the best I have ever seen in an rp. Just to tell you since I haven't posted much about his reign, here's some details you guys might be able to use:
1) Typhon acted through agents called enforcers. They were armed with poison dart guns. They were notorious for stealth and secrecy.
2) while Typhon is so arrogant to consider himself a god, he has at the same time tried to destroy ALL organized religion in america. So while he did want the people to fear him, he wouldn't try to create a religion around himself.
3) Typhon was merciless. The first revolt he put down he used bliions of slivers of glass and launched them into a crowd with his mind. Later, he puts down a rogue military faction by nuking the base and th surrounding countryside, on american soil.

does he always refer to himself in third person, or is that just a typo, i don't know Jesh very well so i couldn't tell.
Ryah - July 9, 2004 05:43 PM (GMT)
That was a typo, he meant Id.
