Should I allow Helfgott back onto the site under the agreement that the first argument he starts results in his banning?

I don't mind arguments, I just mind his rude, insulting, demeaning, cruel, incosiderate remarks that have no purpose but to antagonize. And I don't think it is possible for him to not do those things, because he doesn't seem to care about other people's feelings.

If Helfgott would stop being so much of an ass and would actually put effort into RPing, then by all means. But if he starts one argument, he's banned for good? I'll be damned if that doesn't exclude him from political chat alltogether, but who here among us hasn't started an argument, wheter intentional or not? It's one thing to stir up controversy and another to blatantly be a jerk. I'll try and be the little angel on his shoulder as much as possible, yet I'll still have my pronged devil's trident to jab him in the temple when he does wrong.

So in short, as long as he cleans up his act, I'm for it.

He hasn't done anything worse than what's happened on this site that many of us have done...so I say yes. And I can't remember any personal remark aimed at anyone like that, Diane.

I say the same stuff, you guys don't seem to mind. I'm all for a "clean up your act" agreement, though.

I can't belive you guys want to bring him back! What for? Does he have fun here, no. Does he help anyone else to have fun here, no. And yes, Bates he HAS personally attacked people before, for I was one of those people. I seem to recall him antagonizing a lot of people. And I find it hard to belive that you all seem to think this isn't a big deal. He made me feel so bad at one point that I actually thought about quitting this site all together. And you know how much I love you all and rping. That's how bad he was to me.
I know I know, you're all thinking Bullshit, I don't want to give an example because it's so humiliating, but he made some sexual jibes at me about my panties, and some things that distinctly made me think "sick stalker." You may not recall these events because thankfully an admin deleted these posts he made about me before many people could see them. But I saw them, and I was humiliated and embaressed to the point where I didn't come back to the site for days.
Not only that, but he constantly put people down. Why bring someone like that to a site that for ONCE is getting along great!? We haven't had a major problem on this site for a long while now, and if we bring him back, the fighting and fueding is going to start up all over again. I find it absurd that non of you can seem to remember how wretched this place was with him here.
All I know is that he made me feel VERY uncomfortable. And I don't care what he's like in real life. Because he's an asshole online.

I remember him once saying "All Sigs suck", which was directed towards nobody and you and Joe taking it the wrong way and freaking out. But whatever the heck the other stuff was I'm at a loss at. I do remember a post about panties being deleted from rock paper, scissors, and I saw that post myself, I'm pretty sure it was from some guy named "DragonWarrior" one of Gregg's friends and a Maddox wannabe. But I do not remember it being directed at anyone. I do remember him being angry with you because you could never spell his name right, though.

Not only that, but there was a hell of a lot of shit that some people here have said that has offended me greatly, Fezzod has done it, jess has done it, Sean has done it, probably everyone has done it once in their career of posting. Hell, I was banned for trying to help the goddamn board when it was being attacked, but I forgave these guys and let it slide, I think if you were offered an apology (one that you got for the sig fiasco), you should too.

You yelled at me about a week ago for "cursing at your best friend", well guess what? You just did the same thing to me.

Well, haha, ironically I was the one who brought him onto the site without permission.
I put in the poll yes, because he's my friend and he's an ass at the same time. The truth is his presence here isn't the hugest deal, and he's not a very nice guy to people I really like. (Blue, Ladian, Sean..everyone else..) If he gets his act together, I'm totally fine with him. But the antagonizing and disrespectful shit, is only tolerable to a certain extent. He should probably meet the expectations or be booted out again.
I hate to say all of this, but you know, I can't just think about him when making this desicion.

No matter what, Helfgott is Helfgott. He comes back, he will make trouble. It seemed to me that he never makes a post to just go along with a topic, it always has some rude comment. And Bates, if I did offend you, I am sorry. My comments however, are never specifically aimed at any one person. And I do remember the panty comment. That might have been Earth's realm, but whoever it was got a warning at the least cause I;'m the one who gave it. I vote no.

he's a great guy in real life. I've known him since 7th grade, among other things I consider him a good friend and allie. I know that when I am with him hanging out I could definitly have some fun and laugh. On the site he may make rude comments, but have any of you ever been to another message board? One where its not people who you know from school? Thats what its like on most of those others, people fight. Maybe I'm just saying this cause I'm his friend, but thats how I feel.

well it didn't bother me when he said things sucked once ina while or made small insults, but he did them non-stop one after the other and complained plenty too, and usually when you say things constently you truly believe in what you say, and when He was brought back on the site, THE FIRST thing that he did was attack sean directly and then go on to double post, though people may be good in real life...they can be totaly jerks online

Jess, it's allright if you've offended me in the past, and you have had some comments made directed toward's people, but that's not what matters. I forgave you (even if you didn't apologize) and moved on, because like even Diane had said holding a grudge is wrong, guess she forgot that. I just find it a little absurd that after all you guys have been through you can't forgive someone that has apologized to you. And to think that the board won't get into anymore fights, that's foolish, as long as we have different opinions on stuff we're going to fight, and I don't remember being "generic moorim member #7".

I'll say this right now, I'm a pretty hard guy to get angry, you would have to try and make an effort to get me angry, and he pissed me off pretty badly, there's a fine line between joking around and being totally obnoxious to everybody, that's why i want him off, he is a freakin antagonizer of arguments, we have enough as it is already, everybody gets angery at the arguments that we alredy have...do you really want more

i dont think it really matters at this point....i really think we should let him on and we should just ignore him if he starts an argument. i mean the kid has no grip on reality as sean would put it but if you met him in person he's a really great guy

Well I feel all of you take him way too seriously. Are you really gonna take one persons opinion ruin your day. please. Helfgott defianlty has his opinion for everything, but so do all of us. And if your gonna make him have to edit his voice on matters that everyone shouts about, then thats just plan stupid. We argue all the time, we should be used to it by now :P. But yea, I feel he should be back, you guys get mad too easly. its true. So for you guys to take his comments so seriously is stupid. Sure they may be something that you dont agree with, but you dont tell them there opinion is wrong, because opinions cant be wrong. No matter what or how they are said. I remember vagily somone getting mad becasue Helfgott made some comment on the persons art work. I understand how that person would have been upset, but all artist have to deal with criticism. So all and all, I think you all have to accept the fact that people have there own opinion about everything. And to ban someone who was doing that isnt right. You think with all the political chat you guys had this would have been aviodable in the first place. To me you guys complain too much. I can see an argument a mile away about my post, but I dont care. Because I know that what im saying is right. You cant take someones opinion away no matter what it is. Just like how you cant take mine away from me.

I am going to agree with Randy on this one, I do think that you all need to lighten up a bit. The comment about the artwork..It may have made you feel pretty damn lousy and I know if I put a lot of time into my own artwork and somebody says it blows I obviously won't like it to much, but you have to ask yourself if you like it and as long as you do it is fine. I think some people on the site have insecurities and when they are confronted with them they just bitch about it until something happens about it, in this case it will end up being the banning of Matt. I say leave let him back on the site and get over it.

The problem we seem to be having is it's not just he insults some of us sometimes.. or even once or twice.. he does so every chance he gets. For goodness sake he got back on the site and the first thing he did was pick a fight with Sean. He didn't even try and hold back when being discovered would lead to himself and another being banned.

I am pretty sure the only reason that Matt did that was because he was mad that Sean wouldn't give him another chance.

Methinks this topic should be less about whether we want Helfgott back on and more about whether someone who has been previously banned can reapply at a future date or not.
