Title: Crimson Paint

Aracanna Cassady stomped her foot childishly. She had just recieved word that He had failed again. She wanted that prophecy in her hands, and he kept failing. "It's time he died. I'll find someone better." She called in her servents, who sarmed in and dressed her.

They knew excatly what to do. Aracanna was 200, young for such a powerful vampire. "Mmm..." she sighed, her servents were a wonder. They brought her a goblet of freshblood and she sipped on it as she was pampered.

"Set his heart on fire, and kill him." she said, and her servents said nothing. When she tired of being pampered, she sent away the ever obeident servents, and walked out onto the balcony of the secret Vampire Realm. It over looked a sickeningly beautiful garden.

She called in one of her servents. He had a glowing red coller around his neck with a buring rose carved in to it. "Fetch me a strong vampire, who is willing to be hired. Give him the usual amount and set up a date for him to arrive here." she told him, and the servent nodded, and left.

Jeremiah ran down the cobblestone road. The rain poured, and within minutes he was drenched. Tugging on his coat, pulling the thick material closer to his body, he started to run faster. The rain made him nervous, it was extra noise that made him feel vulnerable.
Quickley, he skidded to a hault in front of a small wooden door. Grabbing the handle frantically, he swung the door open and lept inside. The wind blew, making it a challenge to shut the door, but he still managed to do it with ease.
He took off his coat and hung in on the wall of the hallway. Running down the steps, he approached the doorway to a much larger room.
There stood his comrads, who lived for the same reason he did.
To eradicate the vampires.

Sestra looked over the human stronghold and sighed. She didn't want to be here, however, as a guardian of the light, it was her obligation. Then again, just because she had to fight, didn't mean she had to like it.
Sestra was an angel, a young angel, but a powerful one nonetheless. She had been sent to this particular settlement to protect it, as most of its soldiers had died in the fight against the forces of darkness. While she enjoyed studying and even mingling with humans (their senses of morality amazed her) she still would have much perferred studying in one of the monasterys she had grown up in. Now though, her robes covered armor instead of bare skin, and she carried a blade in her hands. Oh well. She perched herhelf on a tall spire, where she could view the surrounding land, and watched for signs of the dark ones.

Carcaradon sat in his chair with his arms crossed and an angry look on his wrinkly face "this sucks I don't want to be trapped inside of here like some kind of dog" He whined and began to float in the air to pass the time. He was trapped in there cause where he was it was still a little bit sunny out and he hated waiting for a few hours for it to go down. He swooped all about and then fiannly ploped back into his chair. "grrr as soon as I get out of here I'm going to really mess up some humans"

He slammed his fists down on the arms of the chair and turned to face the wall. He once again got out of his chair but this timed walked around the red room where only his bed and a chair was. His bed was like a human bed, but much bigger then any human would make. Carcaradon owned a huge castle up in germany where he would force humans to work for him and use them for his own pleasure and for some nice food.

there was also another object in the room, a large rope that hung down from the cieling attached to a bell at the top in case he wanted anything. and right now he wanted to pass the time, so he rang for a servant. "hee hee hee" he laughed taking out a letter opener that was in his pocket.

Aracanna's servent found his way in Carcaradon's castle and then his room, very quickly. His coller allowed him to have such abilities that of a vampire, but should he ever try to use it against his master, he'd die instantly. He did not waste time in being formal. "My Misstress, Lady Aracanna, would like to hire you." He said, with very little formality. She pays very well." He steped over to Carcaradon and handed him something wrapped in paper. "63,000 for now, 72,000 later when you finish you job. Are you willing to be hired?"

"Sestra! Sestra!" Yelled Madena Lightwing as she flapped her way toward her fellow angelic warrior. The human stronghold was Madena's first assignment on the mortal world. She was thrilled to have a chance to do battle with their evil foes. It was such an honor she could barely contain her glee. Yet she had worked hard for it. She had honed her blade every day for as far back as she could remember in preparation. Now however was her time off.
"Sestra! Hey Sestra! Greeting to my fellow light warrior!" she said as she smiled and giggled. "I need a sparing partner, and none of the mortals are up for it? You wanna go a few rounds?" Madena had decided to make friends with all her fellow angels and Sestra was the first on her list.

In the dark of night a young man could be seen running through the rain. Carrying a small brown pouch in his hand, he seemed to be in quite a hurry as he trudged through the mud.
"Going somewhere?" A voice asked.
The man stopped in terror and dropped the pouch. Turning around he could see a figure emeging from the shadows. Taking a step backwards the man shivered in fear.
"W-What do you want?" He asked hessitantly.
"I believe you have something that belongs to me." The voice replied.
"N-No!" The man cried in deisbelief. "Who are you? How did you find-?"
"I am called Guyel Creed. However that is of no consequence to you now."
Quickly the figure walked forward directly towards the frightened man. He could be seen clearly now. His dark trenchcoat and black hair were dripping with water. His belt buckle sparkled in the moonlight showing the design of an ominous skull. However that sparkle soon faded as the clouds above moved to cover the illuminating moonlight. The man was frozen with fear and the dark figure stopped just inches in front of him.
"Well... will you return it to me?"
"I-I-I can't." The frightened man stammered.
"That's all you have to say? What a pity... They're last words you know."
With that said Guyel lunged forward. Opening his mouth wide he unleashed his fangs and tore into the tender flesh on the neck. As a large abundance of blood left the man's body, he became very pale. When the vampire was finished, the man's body fell limply to the ground. Standing over the newly slain man, a look of fury came over the vampire.
"I could allow you to become just like me. A vampire..." He knelt down to pick up the pouch. Taking out the medallion that lay inside he calmly placed it around his neck.
"...However, this is something I hold very dear" He said referring to the medallion around his neck. "and you taking it is something I can not forgive..."
Suddenly out of nowhere, the vampire removed a wooden stake from within his trenchcoat and thrust it through the heart of the fallen thief.
"Scum like you don't deserve to receive the power that I possess."
Leaving the body to rot, Guyel walked briskly into the dark night.

"Not now, Madena, please? I'd like to study this spell, it looks like it will come in..." She looked up from her book, and got the feeling that no matter, what her excuse was, she was going to end up sparring with Madena. "Oh all right!" she half snapped, half exclaimed. Though she did not like true battle, she had never denied enjoying practicing, keeping herself at her peak. She brushed her blonde hair out of her face and was ready to draw her sword when suddenly movement caught her eye. She whirled, and immediately sensed a dark one. She had no trouble picking him out. He was just outside the stronghold, in the human guard's blind spot, standing over a dead body and holding a small pouch in his hands. "Madena, over there quickly, after him!" And with that she spread her wings and dove into the open air after the creature of the night.

((Heads up Derek.))

Hokage - April 14, 2004 08:02 PM (GMT)
Jeremiah sat down on the worn out couch. Water dripped next to his leg, from the leak on the cieling. He glared at the floor, blinking after each drip.
His comrads tended to their work, partialy ignoring him. He didn't have a problem with it though, he liked being alone within himself.

"Im going out." He said plainly, grabbing his coat once again. Within a minute he was out the door and back in the pouring rain.

Slade13 - April 14, 2004 09:12 PM (GMT)
Guyel was quickly walking away from the dispatched body, with his head tilted down. Suddenly he stopped. Raising his head he slowly turned around to face the direction of the nearby stronghold. A bright figure was approaching through the sky.
"An angel..." He said in a dark tone.
"Surely this girl would not be careless enough to come after me on her own... Or could one truly be that reckless?"
Walking back to the body he pulled the wooden stake from the dead mans heart.
"If this fool wishes to do battle, then so be it..."
Grasping the stake firmly in his right hand, he pulled on the edge of the piece of wood until a blade was unsheathed. Now holding a makeshift dagger, he stood his ground and awaited the arrival of the flying angel.
"Come angel." Guyel beckoned. "Come witness the product of two centuries of life in the darkness."

DarkDestiny - April 14, 2004 10:42 PM (GMT)
"Sestra, wait up!" Madena whined as she flew desperate to catch up. She searched for the dark one with her own sense's and focused on their target. It was her break time, but a real fight was worth 20 spars any day. Mentally she drew upon her limited spell knowledge. Every angel was required to have some knowledge of spells, and Madena had focused on the combat ones. Though her knowledge was limited it contained a few strong ones. She also drew her sword of light from it's sheath, her own glow joining her fellow angel's.

Carcaradon finished licking the bloddy knife and now with a fresh corpse in the room to feed off of for a while he should be good for about another 4 hours or so before the meat spoils. He continued to pace about the room with his arms locked behind him and looking down at the floor, there were some drawings on the wall of poorly drawn pictures of him with the words"I rule" near the picture. He layed down on the bed for a while and stared at the ceiling and began to imagine himself on top of the world with everybody below him all cheering and clapping and saying his name "Long live Carcaradon" as they bow down to him.

He stood up on the bed and began laughing with his hands on his waist "ha ha ha all shall bow down before me...yeah"

Setsra pulled up abruptly, having been spotted, and readied to cast the spell she had mentally prepared. She also held out a hand, not wanting Madena to get caught in the blast.
"Godspeed, wretched thing," She muttered, and then summoned a bolt of pure, white lightning from the heavens,c hanneling it through her sword and directing it at the vampire.

The lightening bolt fired at Guyel with great speed. Hopping backwards, the vampire avoided the blast. However the ground was covered in water, a perfect conductor. His rubber boots absorbed much of the electricity, but he still felt a jolt surge through his body. He stumbled back but quickly regained his footing.
"Of course, the water... I should have anticipated that."
Guyel soon surrounded himself with a dark aura. By simply concentrating, he began to levitate several inches off the ground.
"That solves that problem, but what's this? Another one... This is turning out to be very inconvenient."
He gazed up at the two angel warriors.
"If you two are just going to float up there all night, I'll simply be on my way. But if you've come here seeking trouble, why not come down. I can assure you that trouble is one thing I can give to you. But of course it would take much more than two of you to pose any sort of threat."
