Title: The Long Journey

Aishiteru - March 25, 2004 09:46 PM (GMT)

Anou Suki stepped out of the taxi her uncle paid for her. The taxi driver got out, and helped carry her bags up the many steps of Haru Gakuen Geijutsuin, and into the main lobby.

Suki's 11-inch heeled boots made loud clicking in the empty halls of the school. She walked up to the front desk, showed her Student ID Card, and recieved her key to her dorm. There was no other name on the paper, meaning she dormed alone. She sighed, she was hoping this year for a dorm mate.

She left word that if any one wanted to dorm with her, just give that person the extra key. Then she and her taxi driver walked down the halls towards the dorm halls. 304 was her dorm room. She unlocked the door, told the man to put her bags on the bed, and then she paid him.

She began to unpack her bags slowly. It'd be a while before she needed to be anywhere. After she unpacked every thing, and made the bed. She changed into a professional looking red and black plaid skirt, and black shirt with black mary janes, then she walked to the cafeteria to get some food.

The room was not at all very liud nor crowded. School does not start officaily till tomorrow, and many might come that day. She liked the large building quiet.

Aishiteru - March 26, 2004 08:26 PM (GMT)
I'm bumping this up.

Ladian - March 26, 2004 10:55 PM (GMT)
Gushi ran down the street at top speed, which for her was about fifteen miles an hour, barefoot. She was excited beyond all describing: it was her first day of high school! She'd heard all about high school ever since she was brought to this new place, and from what everyone told her it was the most exciting place you could be. A very slow man was in her way and she ran around him. He yelled at her and she laughed.
"High school, high school!" she shouted after him. She was halfway there before she realized she forgot her books. She tried to stop, lost her ability to steer, tumbled over a puppy and rolled into the edge of a newspaper stand, showering the street with candy bars. The puppy yipped happily and started eating them, right through the wrapper. The newspaper stand man started yelling things, but Gushi was already up and running the other way, back home. By the time she got to school, she was beat tired.
Gushi wandered in the door and sat on the cold, stone floor to cool off.
"Uh...can I help you?" the clerk at the front desk said, leaning over the edge in order to see Gushi. She looked up and grinned.
"Gushi Snuw's schedule please!" she said, bouncing up. The clerk shuffled through some papers and handed one to Gushi. She squealed as she reached out both hands to take it.

SNUW, GUSHI it said at the top. GRADE: 9 She giggled with happiness and skipped down the hallway. She smelled food and followed the scent to the cafeteria. It was very empty. She saw a girl sitting at one of the tables by herself, and bounded over. She dove onto the table, laying on it stomach down, her face near the girl.
"Hi I'm Gushi who are you?" she asked, smiling.

Aishiteru - March 26, 2004 11:12 PM (GMT)
"Hi." Suki said, picking at the food. In which she hate half a salad and half a turkey sandwich. "I am Andou Suki." She said. "But call me Suki. I dislike being called my my surname."

She poked at the sandwich, but decided to down her tea, and she stood up. The heels of her mary janes echoed in the epmty room. "I'll be seeing you soon." She said and turned to go back to her dorm.

------->

Nikkura Daisuki sat her desk, straightening her papers. She carefully set out the Japanese 1 work books, on her desk. Fixed the fune calligraphy pen so that it was perfectly straight.

She stood up, smoothed out the professional grey skirt and white blouse, and left the classroom to grab a small bit to eat. She rested in the Teacher's lounge, stuffing herself with a large helping of chocolate cake.

Ladian - March 26, 2004 11:33 PM (GMT)
Gushi stared after the strange girl Suki, who just abruptdely left, leaving perfectly delicious food on the table. Gushi saw no reason why she couldn't eat it, so she started munching away.
"Suki Gushi Suki Gushi!" she sang as she ate. She liked how the names sounded the same. She wondered if that was rhyming. She thought of chasing after Suki to ask her, but eating the food was better.

Aishiteru - March 26, 2004 11:40 PM (GMT)
Once back at her dorm, Suki began to study. She read up on the Japanese History. After reading for an hour, she practice her singing. Then, she curled up onto her bed, with a good book, and fell asleep reading.

Hokage - March 27, 2004 12:50 PM (GMT)
Hunter wandered into the school. He wasn't excited, nor was he depressed. His mind was simply somewhere else.
Do you need any help? A voice drifted into his ears.

Blinking his eyes in a startled manner, he swung his head to the women sitting at the front desk.
No thank you..-WAIT. I need my schedule please. He giggled nervously, as the women handed him his papers.

Hunter decided to go into the cafeteria, to try to take his mind off things. Earlier in the day, he had another mishap with his father. When these things happened, Hunter was too troubled to even speak.
A girl caught his attention as he walked in. She was chanting something over and over, like a child.
Surprisingly, it brought a smile to Hunter's face. As his heart refilled itself with warmth, he walked over to the chanting girl.

Ladian - March 27, 2004 11:50 PM (GMT)
"Suki Gushi, Suki Gushi." Gushi sang as she munched away on Suki's lunch. A boy walked into the cafeteria and looked at her. She smiled at him, and he came her way. She stopped singing.
"Hi!" she said cheerfully. "I'm Gushi, who are you? Does your name rhyme?" she asked. Maybe she could have three names in her song!

Aishiteru - March 28, 2004 12:39 AM (GMT)
Daisuki sat up, after she finished her cake. She really didn't want to head back to a empty classroom, so she buried herself into a nice large book. The door opened and closed and other teachers entered and left. They were excited about the new school year.

----->

Suki rolled over him her sleep. She had already kicked off her sheets, the book, and two of her pillows(she has five). She rolled over again, and fell off the bed. She shock brought her out fo her slumber, and she shook her head tiredly.

Hokage - March 28, 2004 12:59 AM (GMT)
Hunter gave the girl a quizzical look. I'm Hunter..and..I don't think it rhymes with anything..sorry.. He looked at the ground, unable to say more.

Ladian - March 28, 2004 02:02 AM (GMT)
"Oh that's not important, it's just fun when words rhyme." Gushi said, noticing his sadness.
"But that doesn't mean you can't be fun! Hi Hunter my name's Gushi, do you want some of my lunch that Suki left?" she asked, picking up the tray and holding it out to him. She smiled again. She had failed to make a friend out of Suki, and so was extra determined to make a friend out of Hunter.

Aishiteru - March 28, 2004 02:09 AM (GMT)
[Suki's not mean! Beside, Gushi still has the dreams to become friends with Suki. *nod nod*]

The girl sat up, and rubbed her head. "ow." she said. Before sitting the bed again. She was tired, but that was because of the rude awakening. She stood up, and left her dorm.

The halls were still empty, but there were a few more studnets then before. She was standing in front the teacher's lounge whent he door flew open, and hit her directly in the face.

Suki sat down the ground, and held her forhead. "Ow." she said, and the young teacher turned aruptly. "Oh! I am so sorry!" Daisuki said.

"It's okay." Suki mummbled, jumped up, and headed for the library. Nothing could go wrong there.

Hokage - March 28, 2004 03:11 AM (GMT)
((I'm changing Hunter's color to red. I forgot Gushi's is Orange also.))

Gushi, do you know that you can get your own food?
He grinned, giggling slightly.
Come with me. I'll show you! Color and emotions flooded back into Hunter's appearence. Gushi's ways made him forget about his troubles at home!

Sanji-sama - March 28, 2004 05:25 AM (GMT)
"Art school...what a piece of rubbish..."He whispers and pauses for a moment considering his last statement "Eh, it's better then the orphanage at least...accursed Trell Fører FINALLY won't be able to tell me what to do anymore!" James kicks open the doors to a big school, apparently his new residence. He wanders the lobby untill he makes his way to the front desk. "Hello, how can I help you?"
The secretary said in a shrill snobby voice. "Ya, I'm James Brogan, can I have my schedule please?" He said mocking her voice. The lady slid in her rolling chair to a file cabnit which she opens pulling out a piece of paper and putting it in James' outstretched hand. Slowly he walks away and hears his stomach rumble from hunger. "Where's the cafeteria?" He whispered to himself. Then he spots a sign that read: Cafeteria Here ---->, and quickly hurries inside. He soon finds himself staring at a childish girl and a seemingly cheerful guy. James insinuates that they are going out and sits down at a big table. Then he remembers, he's broke...

Aishiteru - March 28, 2004 01:32 PM (GMT)
Suki sat down in a plush chair, reading a collection of Egdar Allen Poe. She crossed her long legs, and glared at the small book intently. "School starts tomorrow." she whispered, and smiled. "That's good." she answered herself.

"I didn't bring my guitar."
"Oh,well Uncle can bring it by."
"Yeah." She stopped talking to herself, and began to read intently again.

Ladian - March 29, 2004 03:22 AM (GMT)
((I didn' t mean to imply Suki was mean, only that Gushi and her weren't able to form a friendship at that moment, more due to lack of common interest than anything else))

Gushi didn't exactly know what Hunter meant by "own food". She thought the food she was eating was hers, since it wasn't Suki's any more. But, since she knew following someone was a sign of trust, and trust was part of friendship, she followed Hunter anyway. She wanted to make a friend in this "high school" very badly. She hadn't made any friends in her last school.

Hunter walked rather slowly for her taste, so she satisfied herself by running in circles around him, moving foward as he did. She saw that other students were staring at her, which she remembered was bad, so she stopped running in circles and walked behind him, instead. She wanted very badly to fit in. It was lonely not fitting in.

Hunter took her to a place with lots and lots of food. There were people who gave it to you when you gave them money. Gushi didn't quite understand the purpose of money, though she did know how to use it. She had some, the government gave her some every month. She bought some yummy-looking meat mush and gravy, and the two sat down at a table next to a boy sitting by himself.

"Hunter, what is this one called?" she said, pointing to the meat mush. "I forget." Before he could even answer, she asked another question:
"How old is Hunter? Gushi is sixteen."

Hokage - March 30, 2004 10:20 PM (GMT)
I'm forteen . . and i'm not really sure what that is. He replyed, smiling while he eyed the meat "mush".

Ladian - March 31, 2004 04:57 PM (GMT)
"Oh." Gushi said, poking it. She turned to the lone boy sitting at their table.
"Hi, I'm Gushi this is Hunter. Who are you?" she asked him. "Do you know what this is?" she said, holding the meat mush out.

Sacrificial Hero - March 31, 2004 09:27 PM (GMT)
Michael was the most sociable person, given his history no one should be surprised at that. he ambled aimlessly through the school halls, it was nothing different than it had been the year before. Since he lived in the dorms he spent the entire year at the school, he had nowhere else to go. "OOOH" His stomach began rumbling . "Chow time I guess. Never argue with the body." He stepped into the brightly lit cafeteria, cheap ass flourescents everywhere, as to be expected from a school. He pulled out his Id card, and his government issued "youth benefit" card. (In lamens terms that means since he's under the care of the wonderful government, they are paying for everything. They only did this for him because he's incredibly intelligent.) He flashed his ID and ran his card, registering the food as a sale and walked over to an empty table in the corner. He ate his sandwich and drank his orange juice (seeing as how it was early). On the table he trew down his notebook and the computer printouts he had been copying from. His book was near complete, and he wanted a hard copy of it in his own handwriting just in case any problems on the computer arose. He scratched his sideburns as he wrote and periodically took a bite from the sub-par cafeteria sandwich.

Rhapsody had an uneventful summer between graduation and the beginning of a new school year. This time she entered the building not as a student but as a teacher. She hummed merrily as she walked through the doors into the main entrance. "la dee dum da dee dee dum. Hello school, didja miss me?" She smiled and closed her eyes while she walked down the hall to her classroom. "Ahhh, lecture room 4. I remember coming in here for Doctor Boznocker's class." She strolled merrily down to the desk at the head of the class and dropped her things unceremoniously. "Government is so fascinating." She smiled and sat down, cracking open the textbook she'd be teaching from. "Bah, this thing is full of useless facts. Guerss I'll use it as more of a guideline than a teaching method."

Fighter - March 31, 2004 10:51 PM (GMT)
Jack was running for the school as he looked at his watch.

"i'm late! DAMNIT!" he screamed as he jolted for the door. just as he was about to go through somebody shut the door right infront of him and he slammed right into the door and fell on his back as stiff as a dead body with the only words" that hurt" creaking out of his mouth.

Sanji-sama - April 1, 2004 12:46 AM (GMT)
Looks questionably at the food 'Gushi' is pointing at him. "...Thats what the cooks call Mystery Meat, It's their way of punishing kids." he says quietly laughing afterwords. "Me, I'm James. So what room are you in, Gushi?" He asks curiously.

Ladian - April 1, 2004 10:38 PM (GMT)
Gushi cocked her head as she processed the question. She was in the cafeteria, but then that would have made...James's question a stupid question, so he obviously did not mean that. He meant something else. She looked at Hunter. She was missing something...she hated this, she always misunderstood social ways and then wound up with no friends. It was starting already.

"Um, I do not understand what you are asking me."
she said, hoping he wouldn't think she was weird. She looked at Hunter for support. She saw a boy sitting at a table by himself across the room, doing some work already. If she failed to make friends here, then she would try over there with him.

Sanji-sama - April 2, 2004 03:27 AM (GMT)
Bursts out laughing. " Nothing. I'm just giving you a man-made IQ test! So where do you live Gushi?" Then he remembers he still needs to bring his bags to his room. He checks the schedule that the snobby lady gave him. Room: 230. "Ya, ummm Gushi I need to go. Adios, amiga!" James mutters quickly while reaching for his bags.

Ladian - April 2, 2004 04:20 PM (GMT)
Gushi sees him leaving and thinks it is because she has failed to make yet another friend.
"Um, I live down the street in Blueriver House. Lots of kids at this school live there." she hoped that was a good answer. James packed up his things and left, running off to somewhere in a hurry. She turned back to Hunter.
"So where do you live, Hunter? Do you live inside the school?"
((Hey Amanda, maybe to get this thing going we should skip until night? Unless you have something planned to happen during the day))

Aishiteru - April 3, 2004 01:06 AM (GMT)
[Since not many have joined, or are posting, I'd like everyone to dorm for the classes, and meet in the common room]

Suki walked to her room, grabbed her portable blow dryer and pajamas. Lights out now that school officaily started would be 10:30, of course, you could stay up latter-just don't let the moniters hear you.

She showered quickly and walked into the common room. She was dryinger he hair, not really caring who was in the room. Her pajamas were blue-a tank top showing her middriff and really short shorts.

Unbeknownst her uncle, she had her belly button periced, and her belly ring was a mood ring. It was blue. She sat down in a chair and continued to blow dry her hair.

Sacrificial Hero - April 3, 2004 02:58 AM (GMT)
MIchal, accompained by his ever present notebook and stack of papers was sitting in the common room, putting the finishing touches on his hard copy of the book when Suki walked in. He payed her no more than a glance and went back to frantically writing in the book. "Juat a few more words now.* His writing became increasingly erratic and furious as he was nearing the end. Finally he thrwe down his pen and stretched out his hand. "Done, CHA CHING!" He cracked his neck and leaned back, happy that he had finally been rid of his burden. He dug around in his pocket and pulled out a swizzle stick. He jammed it between his front teeth and began chewing, this helped to relax him. He gazed around the room and set his eyes on Suki again. he nodded his head to her and closed his eyes. he had finally finished writing the book into textual form.

((Amanda, mood rings? Sound a little familiar?))

Aishiteru - April 3, 2004 11:56 AM (GMT)
[Yeah, back when we first met. They were alway pink. lol! I want to get my belly periced, but I'm afraid daddy'd have a fit over that...Thogh, he is letting get a tatoo]

Suki smiled at Micheal. She turned of the hair dryer, stood and up and sashayed over to him. "Hi, Micheal." She said, cheerfuly. "Why don't you just wait till tomorrow to work? School officaily starts then." She bounced her feet. "Well, I wanted to ask if you'd brush my hair? I need some help, it's grown since last year-like really grown."

Sacrificial Hero - April 3, 2004 05:06 PM (GMT)
MIchael smiled a bit. Of all the people around the school he got along with Suki best. She was a free sprit and though Michael sometimes wondered how she could be so happy he didn't mind having such an upbeat influence around him. "Sure, I can help you out." He took the brush and began running it through Suki's hair gently. "Well to be honest, this isn't work. I was just writing out that book of mine. So, what have you been up to since last I saw you?" He forced himself to blink once or twice. He sounded like he had spent the summer at an english boot camp, when inf act he had spent it rotting away in his dorm and wandering around the school, p artaking in it's various activities. (he did that very rarely)

Aishiteru - April 3, 2004 09:09 PM (GMT)
Suki giggled. "Well, I got my belly button peirced. Kiku took me. Uncle would have a fit if he knew!" she giggled. "The ring is a mood ring. How cute! I am think of getting y hair dyed this year, oh Uncle's face would be hillarious."

She giggled again. "You should come and stay with me for the Christmas holiday."

Sacrificial Hero - April 4, 2004 01:32 AM (GMT)
"Well it's not like I have anywhere to go you know. I'd love to, but wouldn't your family be a little uncomfortable with a stranger sleeping under their roof?" Michael grinned stupidly and scratched the back of his head. "If it's okay with them, i'd love to." He finished brushing her hair and handed the brush back to her. "So anythign else exciting happen to you over the summer break or was it entirely less exciting from playing partner to me in my wackiness?" It was true that Michael was an entertaining person to hang around with. But he was an exclusive person, Suki was his only real friend and he liked it that way. THat's not to say he didn't like people, but more often than not he was a walking rain cloud, meaning that anyone who got near him had some major trobles comig their way. Somehow Suki had avoided this, much to Michael's surprise. he chalked it up to her bright and cheery nature.

Aishiteru - April 4, 2004 02:16 AM (GMT)
"Uncle will not mind!" Suki said, cheerfully taking the brush. "My summer was wonderful. So, you know Uncle is like really rich, yeah, well I got invited to Gackt's birthday party in Tokyo. And I had a summer sweetie in California. So, did you notice my wonderful tan?

Someone spiked the punch! And Gackt's friend told me I was, like, super cute. Do you think I am cute?" She giggled.

Sacrificial Hero - April 4, 2004 03:07 AM (GMT)
Michael blushed at the question. Suki was "cute" but she was a bit younger than him, and though he had looked at her, she was his friend so he never really regarded her as someone to be attracted to. "yeah I did notice your tan." he again smiled his stupid little smile and cracked his knuckles out of nervousness. "And of course you're cute Suki." He knew he was going to suffer some sort of reprecussions but he couldn't take back what he said now. "Why don't you have a seat?" he patted the chair next to him like a dope and waited for her to sit down.

Ladian - April 4, 2004 04:28 AM (GMT)
Gushi yawned and strectched as the sun hit the roof of Blueriver House. She loved to sleep up on the roof on warm summer nights. Dawn was beautiful, and she peacfully watched the sun rise. After that, she climbed down the fire escape upside-down, using only three limbs. It was an excersize she did every morning, to make sure she stayed in tip-top climbing shape, even if there were few trees around.

She ran in the front door, ran up the stairs by using the banister (which had her bare footprints all over it every day, and drove the maids nuts), tumbled into her room and grabbed her backpack. She then leapt over the balcony outside her window, landed on the sidewalk, and proceded to run full speed towards the school. She burst in through the front doors, them slamming against the walls, and skidded down the hallway into the first common room she saw (which was not the first one she passed by, because she missed a few due to her speed). In it was Suki and another kid.

"Suki! Hi! School starts today!" she said happily.

Sacrificial Hero - April 4, 2004 06:11 AM (GMT)
Michael jumped at the sheer volume of the student who burst through the door of the common room. "Aha, I see you have a new friend there Suki. So are you going to introduce me to this terribly hyperactive entity or not?" He sat with one leg crossed over his other knee and stared at Suki, waiting for her response.

MEANWHILE

Rhapsody was incredibly excited. She had her first day as a teacher today and she didn't think it would be that hard. She'd be teaching government and history, her two favorite subjects. She'd also be running a homeroom everyday in room 314. When it ended she had her first class, a government lecture. Though today would be more of an introduction than a lecture, being the first day. She passed the common room and gazed in as she did. A few students had begun their morning with a trip to the common room. They reminded her of herself. In fact she recognized one of them. "Oh Michael!"

Michael lowered his head as if he had just been shot. "I know that voice."

"Oh yes you do. Come here and give me a hug you silly boy."

Michael turned around slowly then aprang out of his chair and embraced Rhapsody. "You got the job I take it?"

"Oh yes i did, that means I'm gonna be here FOREVER!"

"Don't they have laws against people like you working in schools?"

"Oh don't be such a dork." She mussed his hair and turned. "Still a ladykiller I see."

"Oh, I'm such a putz. Suki, you remember me talking about Rhapsody right? Well this is her. And Rhappa, I haven't the slightest clue who this other person is." he pointed to Gushi as he spoke.

"So YOU're Suki. I've heard so much about you, it's like I know you personally. It's nice to finally meet you in person." Rhapsody smiled and extended her hand to Suki. "And hello to whoever you are. my that's rude of me, I should say: hello My name is Rhapsody White, it's nice to meet you, might I have your name?" Michael snickered. "Oh hush you!"

Aishiteru - April 4, 2004 12:06 PM (GMT)
"Hi." Suki said, and took Rhapsody's hand. "This girl is Gushi, we met yesterday." She smiled. "Well, I don't think the teachers wold like it much if I went to class still in my pajamas-though,the boys would love it. Well, I'll see you in Governmet Micheal." She left the room and headed back to her dorm.

There she put on a pair of tight fitting jeans and a shirt that said "Super Star" on it. Running the brush through her hair again, she debated on wearing gym shoes or the boots that looked like gym shoes. She chose the boots.

Hokage - April 4, 2004 07:21 PM (GMT)
((Sorry, I gotta drop out of this. I let the story get too far ahead of me, sorry, I really feel bad about this.))

Sacrificial Hero - April 4, 2004 10:05 PM (GMT)
"'Oh Speaking of your government class." Rhapsody smiled cunningly

"I knew Ms.White wasn't just a coincidence. Well I have to get out of here so I can get to homeroom." he looked at his schedule and nearly fainted. "Which I also have with you." Rhapsody broke out of her grin into a scowl.

"You don't sound very happy about that Michael. Well I'll just have to fail you then." She stomped off towards her classroom, not really serious about failing him, but he was left to wonder.

"R! R! You're not serious are you?" he called out and raced down the hallway after her. Giving up about half way and wandering at last into homeroom.

Aishiteru - April 4, 2004 11:15 PM (GMT)
Suki was sitting in her homeroom when she caught sight of Micheal, hoomroom didn't start for a few minutes. She started to get up, but Aiko-sensei gave her a glare, and she sat back down.

She stomped her foot angrily. He took attendence and went out and passed out the school calender, and rules, and stuff they got last year.

Ladian - April 5, 2004 04:57 AM (GMT)
Gushi stared at all the people talking, thinking carefully of what to say. She thought too carefully and wound up not saying anything at all. Frustrated, she grunted and marched out the door, towards homeroom.
Once there, she decided to remedy the situation.
"Hi Micheal, I'm Gushi. It's my first year in high school, is it that for you to?" she asked, trying her hardest to be polite. The lady who he'd been talking to before was the teacher. Gushi hoped she would not yell at her for not wearing shoes. Gushi had a special pass that allowed her to not wear shoes due to "cultural allowances" or something, but she hated using it. It was always much better if there wasn't a fuss.

Sacrificial Hero - April 5, 2004 05:50 AM (GMT)
"HI Gushi, actually I've been here a few years. What do you think of the school so far?" He hated making smallt alk, but it was one of those social skills that the government said he lacked and needed to be taught. "Well what the hell do you expect a kid who's been kept in his house everyday and treated terribly?" he thought to himself. It was the smartass answer he had thrown at child's services when they bugged him about his manners. Rhapsody had been listening in on their conversation, seeing as they were the only ones to show up so far. "And R, if you're gonna try to eavesdrop, don't lean over your desk to listen." Even though she was sitting behind him he could tell she was listening. He knew her far better than anyone else in his life. "Oh, and by the way, a teacher should be wearing clothes that cover her up a little better. Your cleavage is all over the place."

"YOU ARE SO INFURIATING YOU LITTLE SNOT!"

"I knew you were listening, that just proved it." Rhapsody froze and looked shocked.

"I'm gonna get you one of these days Mikey." He spun around and stared at her infuriated.

"DON'T EVER CALL ME THAT! IT SAYS MICHAEL ON MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND ON MY SCHOOL ID AND I EXPECT YOU TO REFER TO ME BY MY REAL NAME! JESUS CHRIST I THOUGHT YOU KNEW HOW MUCH I HATED THAT!" Rhapsody recoiled in her chair at hsi anger. She knew he didn't like it but she hadn't expected a reaction like that. She shook a bit, quite frightened by his outburst. He settled back in his chair and looked at Gushi as if nothing had just happened. "Anyway, you didn't tell me, what do you think of the school so far?"
