Title: Blood and Chocolate
DarkDestiny - January 18, 2004 12:41 AM (GMT)
It was a surprisingly warm autumn night. A night that would herald great changes. On this night A great feast was being held in honor of a new queen and king of the vampires, Castimonia and Caleb. The new rulers promised an end to the blood wars between the vampires and the werewolves, and a union to fight the wizards and witches. To support their claims they had invited a pack of werewolves who has fought through many perils to join with the vampires to a feast. The original pack consisted of Alora the alpha, Fang her second in command, and dusty the youngest and most energetic. More recently a wolf new to the idea that one could be a wolf had joined and gained the nick name of scout soon after. With the aid of Castimonia the pack had accepted one last member, a wolf who was stuck half wolf half human, Rose.
Rose had attracted an older vampire who through trickery and magic had attempted to steal a necklace and the magic one hidden with in. He had been defeated temporarily by the pack only to slip away to plot revenge. Rose had swallowed his magic leaving him no choice but to re group. Castimonia then took the vampire throne from her father by force seemingly destroying him in the process. That left them all to celebrate their victories, at the feast that very night. however, there were other forces at play.
A wolf named Thorn with strange powers had destroyed all the vampires at a vampire club without hurting a single human. He left one alive to escape with the message that wolfkind had decided to renew the war on vampire kind.. After letting his messenger escape he scattered the blood of another wolf around the club, then performed magic that let him vanish in to the shadows without a trace. However the vampire who had tried to take the necklace of rose had been attracted to the scene...
The first club would not be the last for shortly after several other club's were attacked by "wolves"...

::Alora was seething with rage. It was two days after the feast, and she just got the word that her fellow werewolves had been attacking vampire head quarters quite ruthlessly.::
"They must have had a councel and decided to rage war while our pack was helping Castimonia! That's why we didn't get word of it! Now look what's happening just look!" ::She cried in dismay.:: "I thought once we left and gave word they'd be happy to follow, but they had to go and start war before we ahd a chance to tell them about our chance for peace!" ::She yelled again. Alora paced back and forth in their room angrily. She had Fang and Castimonia there for advice. (anyone else feel free to just wlak in) "I can't go and tlak with them now! The council must have already made a decision! In order to reach all the packs we'd ahve to call a second council, and that just doesn't happen! It comes once a year at no specific time! We just wait for the howl! Ohhh!" ::Fang got up from his chair and walked over to her, his heart still stinging for the rejection at the feast, but unable to see Alora upset and not comfort her. He reached her and went to put his hands on her shoulders. Alora glared at him, then jerked her body backward away from him. Her purple eye narrowed meanicingly, giving Fang a very clear idea that she had t in mind to for now and always refuse him. He opened his mouth as if to say something, but after a few seconds he closed it again...then walked to the door and left, his red eyes begining to glisten.::
::Alora resumed her pacing infront of Castimonia.:: "Now our pack is the only one not in this war against the vampires! Whch means we're in a war against our own kind! If they catch us...the consequenses will be terrible.....much worse then death." ::Alora turned to her newest friend.:: "Castimonia, you're now a leader like me. I need your help. What should I do?"
6th_Hokage - January 18, 2004 03:24 AM (GMT)
David walked inside, his face farely blank in expression. After seeing Fang,Alora, and Castimonia speaking, he froze. "Uh.." He said, giggling nervously. "Sorry, I should have knocked! If you wish me to leave please say so! I just came in here to look for something!" He held his jaw tight in nervousness. "I just wanted to find a rock I lost. I-I- I collect them.."
Blue - January 18, 2004 04:20 AM (GMT)
((*snort* A ROCK! It's ingenious!))
::Fang had just been leaving when he bumped into Scout who stuttered helplessly. Fang glanced back at Alora, his expression sore, then looked back to Scout.::
"...I was just leaving anyway....the company is cold in here..." ::He said, but not with spite, just a deep underlying tone of sadness. He brushed past Scout then, hoping the kid didn't see his pained expression.::
6th_Hokage - February 8, 2004 05:40 PM (GMT)
((Sorry DD, I didn't read carefully. This post will correct it.))
Barron swung his head towards Thorn. "Where are they?" He said, suspecting this "hidden information" to be a simple joke.
::Meanwhile::
"Alright.." David grunted as he threw on the armor. "Thanks." He grabbed a short sword, that was just the right weight for David's somewhat frail arms. Well, frail for a werewolf anyway. He smiled nervously, as his knees were quivering and his feet were shaking to the point where they were erupting from his tattered shoes.
6th_Hokage - January 18, 2004 02:44 PM (GMT)
David shivered a bit, yeah, it was definetly time to high tail it. (Get it? Tail? Wolf? Hahaha)
He quickley ran out of the room and took a deep breath. "This is going to be one hell of a problem. Damn love makes everything go rotten." He mumbled, as he walked away to find something to do.
DarkDestiny - January 18, 2004 04:29 PM (GMT)
Rose fingered her newly repaired necklace. The chain was fixed so well no one could tell it had been snapped. She sat down on the bed provided for her and sighed. The scenery might have changed but that didn't fool trouble. Trouble followed her like a dog after a mailman. 'At least this time i'm not alone' she thought to herself. Still she couldn't help but feel afraid. Everywhere she looked the shadows deepened. She stood and walked through the doors and down the corridor to the balcony of her room. The sun was heading towards the horizon, and it wouldn't be too long before night fell and the moon rose. She wondered what was out there waiting in the shadows, and couldn't suppress a shudder.
In a darkened room far across the city...
In the center of the room kneeled thorn, alone in a spotlight.
"You have done well Thorn." A voice came from the dark.
"Thank you my commanders. “Thorn smiled
"Much better then we anticipated." Another voice spoke ignoring his appreciation.
"Yes the blood thirsty creatures leapt at a chance to kill each other again." Still another voice added with a chuckle.
"Still we were wise to raise you in the light, for you have proven to be above their evil.” The first voice continued.
Thorn glowed with the praise.
"Yes our brother's sacrifice was not in vain." a fourth voice agreed.
"I shall do all with in my power to make my father's sacrifice not in vain.” Thorn said with dark passion in his voice.
"We know you will.. We know." The third voice answered.
"You have a new assignment." The first announced "As you know word on the street is that the new rulers of vampire kind along with a small pack of wolves are trying to end the war and gain peace. You know that such a peace would only end in the slaughter and enslavement of innocent humans. We must protect the flock."
Thorn nodded in agreement.
"It is your job to take out the pack. With the wolves under the protection of the Queen and King themselves dead, all illusions of peace will die. Then both of the great evils will ravage each other, leaving only a small clean up for our forces"
"As you command." said Thorn. He stood, bowed, and left in haste.
There was a long silent pause.
"What about his sister?" The fourth voice questioned finally.
"It won't matter. Even if he realized their bond, it won't matter to him." The fist said his voice confident.
"What if he decides he wants her alive?" The second asked with contempt.
"Then, if the rumors are true, we will still win." The third answered.
There was another pause.
"Now let us go. We have much to do." The first said.
One by one they departed in different directions, leaving the room once again empty.

"what the" Ryst mutered low when he got to the club seeing everyone how they were...dead. "A werewolf did all this.......no way....that's messed up...better scram" Ryst left the club with the fact that werewolves did this. He ran away from the club and hopped onto a nearby building to search for Rose "If I'm gunna be safe I better get what I want back, Don't think my bag of tricks will do much if I cros paths with this wolf". "First things first...I must find That woman wolf". Ryst tried to sniff the air, but all he could smell was bakery bread, seeing as he was on top of a bakery.
EternalSailorMoon - January 18, 2004 08:37 PM (GMT)
::Castimonia's eyes were dark. Already their crusade was hindered by anger and misunderstanding. Alora was seething, afraid and worried. She shrugged off Fang's embrace, despite his efforts to comfort her. Fang left with a stuttering Scout, and left just Castimonia and Alora pacing. Castimonia's heart grieved. Disunity outside, and hurt feelings inside. Castimonia pondered for a few moments and looked for the exact right things to say.::
Alora.. These packs were are dealing with think they are the heroes. They do not understand us. The ancient blood-feud has created much animosity. Word of my father's death has spread quickly and they think the new ruler will become another Claudius. They don't know that the new ruler is me. They refuse to know that they are wrong. Therefore we cannot kill them. We shall spill no blood. Seek to wound and capture. Rebellions must all be dealt with in the same manner, swift justice. But we can still show mercy. Every one we disarm will be shown the truth and set free. We cannot lay our weapons to our enermies to kill. If we do we will be no better than they say we are. ::She paused.:: Alora.. listen to Fang. Listen to your heart. He wants to protect you. He will die for you and your pack. ::She squeezed Alora's shoulder reassuringly.:: Don't be afraid to open your heart.. mistakes from the past can be healed and turned. ::She opened the door and stepped out.::
We go to the war room, to appoint the leaders and gather our army. Please, follow me..
Blue - January 18, 2004 10:40 PM (GMT)
::Alora's eyes water for a brief moment as the scowl on her face deepened. SHe turned on Castimonia harshly::
"How dare you! How dare you tell me what to do with Fang's love! Don't you understand anything! If I accept him then I am accepting danger! If we come together evils will come for us because I am the leader of a pack which is against all over wolves! The other wolves will learn of us and know our weakness is eachother! How can nobody see this!?!" ::She cried. Castimonia went to step closer to Alora but Alora took a step back.:: "How can you not see the danger I put my pack in!?! All wolves, every last one of them, eventhose who used to be my friends will be out to kill us as traitors now! No! I will not go to your meeting! I need to stay here and think!" ::She insisted. Alora sat her butt down on the bed determined not to move. Castimonia looked like she would object, but Fang suddenly put a hand on the vampires shoulder.::
"I will go in her place....for when she is feeling better." ::He said, that sad look still lingering in his eyes. Fang looked in at Alora briefly, then closed the door as she began to cry::
EternalSailorMoon - January 20, 2004 11:06 PM (GMT)
((Sorry about the delay. Here I go!))
::Castimonia looked back into the room with a pang of regret. She knew she should have kept her tongue. Alora was proud, and catious with her feelings; she knew that her past concealed a deep pain and that she now found herself in the same situation. But she could not, or would not see that the good fight was before them and she was going need as much love as she could get, from all of them, to sustain her. Castimonia knew where she stood. Caleb had died for her once and they had been through much together. She would not leave him behind. Alora was afraid that allowing herself to love would put them all into danger.. but Castimonia thought exactly the opposite. She sighed and led Fang from the room, down the twisting stone corridors to the hall of confrences. On the way, Castimonia briefly spoke with Fang.::
I appreciate your efforts, Fang. It seems Alora is under a lot of stress.. I feel bad. This crusade is very taxing on her.. Fang, you're the only one who can make her see that love is not her enemy. You must get it through to her. The wolves and vampires we seek to liberate are not on the right path. Some packs and clans we will find on our side and more than willing to be freed. Some will resist. But she won't be a traitor to all. Her fear is blinding her, Fang. make her see the light, please. For her sake, for yours, for this war. ::She led the rest of the way in silence and ushered him into a large, well-lit hall. In the centre was a huge table flanked by leather chairs. Caleb, Rose, and several of Castimonia's generals and advisors were already seated. Fang would represent Alora's pack. Scout was also there. Dusty was thought too young to sit in on the meeting. They were all gathered to discuss the movements that would take place to bring peace and unity to the two bloodlines. Castimonia spoke rapidly about her wishes to harm none of the opposing forces unless in extreme need. She made it clear that all who could be subdued and disarmed would be shown the truth and given the chance to achieve peace. If they defied still.. well, whatever actions they took would bring consequences. Castimonia also believed the corruption in some packs and clans came from one leader and if that leader was taken out the others would join their cause.. But the real test would come if a mage showed themselves or if an entire pack was fully corrupted. Castimonia asked them all to have faith in themselves and their companions. She assured them no one would be hurt. If any of their group was harmed or lost, Castimonia vowed that she would pay the price herself to respect her comerade.::
Unity will keep us alive, my friends. Unity and strength as in any pack of wolves or clan of vampires. Together we can win this.. we shall show the world that night is not always evil.
Blue - January 21, 2004 03:09 AM (GMT)
::Fang thought about raising his hand, but really didn't want to look stupid, so after Castimonia was done speaking, he started to speak himself, as loudly and clearly as possible.::
"Uh, h..how will we be fighting?" ::He asked. As everyone looked at him he knew he should elaborate.:: "Where will we be attacking? Will we go after individual packs and try to show them our side of the story, or will we be letting them come here?" ::He asked.:: "I mean...how will we be structured?" ::He had never been leader before, and although temoprary, he wanted to make a good impression for his pack.::
tintenfisch - January 21, 2004 03:38 AM (GMT)
Ryst had finished sucking all the blood out of 3 of little children when he sat down to think about what's gunna happen with that werewolf and if it was still in the area he was in. "Should I go after it?....maybe it can join me....like hell, I wonder what it's after?" All these questions were driving Ryst crazy with curiosity, so much he forgot all about Rose and his power. "I better find out more of what I can" Ryst sniffed the air to get any were wolf stench that might be hanging in the air. Nothing, but how can a werewolf be moving that fast and attack so quickly. Ryst was begining to get a hypothisis, but now he needed to proove it...but he needed help.
EternalSailorMoon - January 21, 2004 09:31 PM (GMT)
I'm glad you asked that, Fang. Some packs we will be seeking out, but some will seek us first. We must be on our guard at all times and we must watch everyone's backs. No one will be lost on my watch. Everyone will be armed with a sword and dagger, outfitted with a shield and a shirt of chainmail that can turn back many blows. I will provide you also with certain items that will create smoke shields or give off poison when thrown upon the ground. All this is for your protection. I would rather run from danger than risk your lives trying to achieve peace.
But I must tell you why I would choose not to kill our enemies.. they believe us to be bloodthirsty, merciless. They expect us to roast them alive on spits and eat their children. We cannot lower ourselves to that level. It is what the expect. But if we prove we are not cold-blooded killers they may see our side quicker. Only in great need do we kill. Otherwise we must try to subdue as many as possible and spread our influence. The more we convince the greater our chances of success. If there are any questions or suggestions please pose them now.

It was a good afternoon for hunting. Dusk was falling all around and soon very soon his prey would emerge. It would not be as easy as it had been before. The evil ones would be wary for their lives. However he had been stalking an older one for months now for just such an occasion. The older one would be up earlier would know the information he needed and would be just the right amount of a challenge. From the shadows of his alley way lookout he smiled eager with anticipation.
Rose Sighed and yawned. She had watched the sun make it's way across the sky for long enough she supposed. She turned and went back down the corridor to her room. shutting the thick wood doors behind her. She found herself surprisingly tired so lay back down n her bed for a quick nap. She began drifting towards sleep.
6th_Hokage - January 22, 2004 02:17 AM (GMT)
Barron jolted across the forest. He was on the very edge of his territory, which was a very stupid risk to take. On his usual scouting, he was. It was his job as leader of their pack, almost everything was in a way "his job". It was only what you could call a sercurity check. Thankfully the costs were clear, but it was a mandatory task. The damn ideas of alliance that his pack looked down upon made them more vulnerable every minute passed.
His clothing was more tattered and ripped than that of the normal werewolf. It made perfect sense of course, his pack was based on violence and struggle in order to suceed. The war would not end in this senseless rebellious way, it would end how it was supposed to! It would end with the death of vampires, as it should be!
Blue - January 22, 2004 03:25 AM (GMT)
::Fang woke up with an abrupt jolt. And of course sinc ehe slept curled up with the rest of his pack, they all woke up as well. Fang was covered in sweat and looked aweful::
"Fang? What happened? Did you have a nightmare?" ::Dusty asked innocently. Alora yawned and looked over to him, he DID look dreadful.::
"Barron..." ::He mumbled. Alora caugt the name and her head snapped in his direction.::
"What did you say?!?" ::She demanded. Fang put a hand to his head and shook it as if to clear the cob webs.::
"Nothing I just....I was just remembering my old pack....don't know why really..." ::He said. He looked sheepish, no...more embaressed. After standing a good two minuts of Dusty, Scout, Rose, and Alora all staring at him, he got up and left to take a walk down the vampires halls.::
6th_Hokage - January 22, 2004 03:37 AM (GMT)
"Barron.." David said outloud, mumbling it to himself curiously. "Well, goodnight.." He said, as he layed his head back down and almost immediatly drifted into his dreams.
::Dream::
"Guys?" David glanced around, there was no one but the glowing yellow eyes.
"Guys?!" He screamed frantically, as the eyes grew larger and closer.
The yellow eye that pierced his soul engulfed him, and he screamed, suffocating.
A howl was heard, and David saw himself in a death match with another werewolf. The moment David was about to die, he awoke.
::Wake up::
"Ahh!" David said, as he fell over gasping. He slowly left the room, similar to Fang but in a less worried manner. He hoped he hadn't waken anybody, but it was hard to believe he didn't. He wandered through the halls, with the goal to find Fang. "Fang?" He said, as he heard footsteps not far from him.
Blue - January 22, 2004 03:56 AM (GMT)
::He had been standing by the window, and no one had ever been seen with a more thoughtful expression on his face then the one Fang wore. He wouldn't take his eyes away from the moon, which was not yet full. He sighed heavily, and looked to his feet looking rather worried and troubled.::
"Fang?" ::He blinked coming out of his trance and turned around. He spotted Scout coming toward him in the dark. He tried to smile for him.::
"Hey Scout. Couldn't sleep either?" ::He questioned in a friendly voice.::
6th_Hokage - January 22, 2004 03:27 PM (GMT)
David chuckled quitely. "Yeah..nightmares." He walked over toward the window and stared at the moon. "I'm gonna go back to sleep. I suggest you don't stay up to long. We're gonna need energy for what's ahead of us." David sighed, "Well, 'night." He slowly walked away, still trembling from the dream.
DarkDestiny - January 22, 2004 11:58 PM (GMT)
With a sudden jolt Rose awoke. Fang had a nightmare and had woke them all. When he left she tried to fall asleep again.. but failed. It was just too strange sleeping so close to others. Shortly after David left she got up as well. She wanted to see the stars and feel the night. The moonlight would be painfull, but maybe a cloud would be covering it. She went back to the room designated as hers. She opened the wooden doors leading to the balcony passage. She stepped out on to it. The night was beautiful, the moon painful for all it's glory. She shivered as the wind blew her hair back. She had let it down. She didn't need to hide her ears anymore.
Thorn was a shadow flying through the trees. His pitch black fur was perfect for stealth and although there was a moon out, Its light was not enough to reveal him as he ran on swift wolf legs. The elder vampire had indeed put up a struggle. A lesser wolf would have died. Instead the elder had died. Yet not before telling thorn everything he wanted to know. White fangs flashed in a wolfish grin before disappearing. The secret vampire underground castle was no longer a secret. For years he had hunted down the rumors, but his prey had been too young to be trusted with such information. He had never had the authority to go after an elder for fear of discovery. With the war the death would go unnoticed. well except for the condition of the remains.
There! The trees were thickening into a protective wall. No human would be able to pass through. Without loosing speed he transformed into a half wolf and leaped upward grasping the upper branches of a tall pine. He swung himself into a kick off the tree that launched him over the obstacle in his path. As he sailed over he spotted his prey. A wolf girl. Already in half wolf form. She must have smelled him although he doubted it. It mattered no longer. He transformed again as he landed. He hit the ground with all fours charging the girl.
Rose gasped as a man half wolf half human leaped over what she had thought was an impenetrable barrier of trees. More shocking was that before he hit he had transformed again. She had no time to scream as his charge hit her dead on crushing the wind from her lungs.
Thorn Bared his fangs and prepared to tear the girls throat out. He inhaled deeply enjoying the fear smell rolling off her in waves. Then he pause and blinked. The smell was familiar. He couldn't place it..
Rose Stared up in shock at the gleaming fangs inches from her face. She was afraid. More afraid then she had ever been in her life. All she could see were the fangs and cold as ice blue eyes staring down at her. She felt desperation building in her and she had to escaped. Her arms and legs were pinned by the wolfs. She couldn't move she was going to die. The thoughts raced in her head. In an instant her breath returned she inhaled and screamed.
Thorn Moved lightning fast to crush her throat with his jaws, but her sent stopped him just as his teeth pricked her skin. It was driving him wild, but he couldn't hesitate any longer. He had to act or risk being captured.
He jumped off the girl then transformed to half human. "I don't know who you are girl... but when I find out you and all your pack will die. You sent has saved you for now. Next time.." With movements almost to quick to follow he scaled the trees and disapeared over the barrior into the night.
Rose was too stunned to scream again. She lay motionless but for the shivers that rocked her body. The warmth had blossomed once more to a boil but too late to help her.
6th_Hokage - January 23, 2004 12:15 AM (GMT)
As David was walking back he heard a scream. He swung around and ran back to Fang. "Did you hear that? I think it was Rose!" He turned around. "Come on!" David ran off down the hall.
Blue - January 23, 2004 01:41 AM (GMT)
::Fang did indeed hear the scream. It echoed through the night air, piercing it as if it were paper. Fear and anger prickeled Fang in half of a heart beat, and before Scout could even finish relaying his thought Fang was in wolf form running down teh hall at top speed. He barged into Rose's room and lept out onto the balcony baring his teeth and red eyes glowing viciously. He stopped and stared. There was no one there. Fang was surpsied, expecting a fight, but finding non. He was happy however that his packmate was safe. He slowly transformed onc emore back into his human form. He stood up, then walked over to his terrified friend. Fang looked out at the tree line where Rose was looking and glared before turning abck to her.::
"Are you alright? What happened?!?!" ::He asked the first question tenderly, then demanded the second. He reached down a hand to help her up, then pulled her easily to her feet.::
6th_Hokage - January 23, 2004 01:50 AM (GMT)
David ran behind Fang, finally catching up. His face was intense with seriousness unlike him. "Is she alright?"
EternalSailorMoon - January 23, 2004 02:51 AM (GMT)
::The scream ripped open the night like a dagger in the heart. Castimonia instantly knew it was Rose. The speed with which she flew to her room was only matched by the wind itself. Castimonia burst onto the private balcony connected to her room and looked over her dearest friend. Rose was unharmed but she was in shock. Castimonia could sense an intruder. She turned to Fang.::
Watch over her. I can entrust you will keeping things calm for a few moments. I'm going after him... If I do not return shortly send Caleb. He'll be able to track me. Send for the generals and tell them they must prepare for attack at any moment. One intruder can bring many more. If they deny your authority feel free to send them to the dungeons.
::Castimonia leapt off the balcony and followed the cooling trail of the intruder.. there was a situation at hand now, because someone had discovered their hidden refuge.. it had to be a wolf, every vampire knew of the kingdom underground, and the mages hadn't been seen in years... By the looks of it they had taken Rose's balcony and tried to attack her.. why they had stopped was anyone's guess. But if they escaped her and told others, an attack would befall the castle and they would all be in danger. Castimonia burst into an immense speed and kept on the trail, following disturbed blades of grass, broken branches, and the lingering scent of a male on the air.. She's subdue him and overpower him easily enough.. she kept a hand on her blade as she flew across the grounds of her kingdom.. she would find him before he could tell anyone..::
DarkDestiny - January 23, 2004 11:02 PM (GMT)
Rose struggled to find her voice.
"I-I.. He He.." She swallowed back the lump rising in her throat. Her legs felt weak and she felt that soon they would give out under her.
"There was this wolf. He was so big.. Black as night with huge gleaming white fangs." Her hand reached for the bleeding nicks on her throat."His eyes were so cold and blue. He went for my throat. I-I almost was..." Her voice choked off as her mind reeled.
Thorn was angry. Angry at himself. The girl should have died. Her blood should have flowed in his mouth instead of just coating the tips of his upper and lower fangs. Why did she smell so damn familiar?! Why couldn’t he end her pathetic life?! He had dishonored his fathers name in his stupidity. In his rage he was careless, forgetting the magic that would make him and his trail vanish. He nearly howled in frustration. He caught himself just in time. He began to calm himself drawing on the techniques he had been taught. He expanded his awareness with a magic web. He needed to know if he had been followed. His magic web and enhanced senses then caught the presence of a vampire. A very old vampire. Possibly the oldest he had ever met. This intrigued him. Instead of casting a spell to hide him self once more, he increased his speed. He wanted to see if the vampire would catch him. He had to spill someone’s blood tonight.
EternalSailorMoon - January 24, 2004 12:55 AM (GMT)
((Ahh, the thrill of the chase.))
::Castimonia's eyes went wide. She was dealing with something a little stronger than she had first imagined. Her speed had aided her well thus far, but soon she had sensed magic.. there was a lot more at stake than she had thought. But even if she was in danger, the others meant a lot more to her. She felt the wind and knew that he had sped up... she closed her eyes and followed the feel of the wind... she put on an extra burst of speed to match her quarry, and kept the chase. She could sense that a fight was coming.. and she could not fail her friends.::
6th_Hokage - January 24, 2004 01:11 AM (GMT)
Davids expression was a horrified one. "And to think, I thought Alora was the strongest!" He started to chew on the sides of his finger nails, a nervous habit of his.
DarkDestiny - January 24, 2004 01:29 AM (GMT)
Thorn felt the vampires speed increase as well. An old one such as it would know the feel of magic. He was not too familiar with the landscape.. but he knew a particular spot where he would have an advantage. He Pushed himself even harder confident that the pace would only be kept up for a short while. There! It was a out cropping of boulders. The boulders were huge several men wide and tall. Some of the smaller ones had cracked forming steps. He climbed quickly to the wide top, then transformed fully human. He braced his legs against the rock and drew his enchanted silver katakana form the sheath across his back. He would not waste time on his enchanted silver throwing knives. He quickly cast an ice spell that caused his sword to glow a gentle icy blue. In the pale moonlight his jet black hair gleamed. His long black trenchcoat flapped in the same gentle breeze that had caught rose's hair. Patiently he waited.
EternalSailorMoon - January 24, 2004 01:41 AM (GMT)
::Castimonia stopped dead. The wind created by her quarry's speed had ceased. Slowly she walked over a few more yards and stones came into her eyes.. they were huge monoliths, towering about the height of any man. She grimaced and drew out her sword.. Her blade gleamed in the moonlight. She prowled forward, taking each step cautiously like it could be her last. Above her she sensed magic. She was about ten yards from a staircase carved into the stone.. her blade was reflecting a blue light that could not be the stars or moon.. Castimonia bristled and drew level with the stair, blade out and ready. She closed her eyes. In the dead silence she could hear the wind in the trees, the rustle of her skirt, a whistle in the wind, and the sound of a loose garnment flapping in the wind, from above her. It was now or never.. Castimonia started up the stair.::

Thorn Flinched. When one was taught to be sensitive to power, as he was, such a being was almost painful to be near. She was almost in front of him. He knew it was a she now. The power signature was a presence only a female could give off. He raised his evaluation of her. She far older then any he had faced and far more powerful. Still He could not back down. He remained calm and without fear as re-enforced his mental shields. No vampire would ever taint his mind with it's presence. The eldest had taught him his mind defense and proofed his shields as well. He would not be caught off guard. She was on the steps and soon would face him. He felt a rush of anticipation despite his calm.

::He was ahead and she knew it.. her eyes could see the blue glow.. it illuminated a face of malice.. certianly not a woman's. She stopped on the stair, just a few feet from his grasp..::
You dared to trespass in my court and attack my friend? Now you run like a coward before me. Show yourself if you wish to keep your honour. You hide in the shadows; I bring the light. Show yourself before the vampire queen!
::Castimonia waited, for an answer or an attack.. her blade was at a ready poised in front of her. Her dark eyes glinted and her breath stood still.. to face her unknown foe.::

He stepped forward. His eyes narrowed while his gleaming white smile widened. It was the vampire queen castimonia. He had heard of her. The mad queen she was called in some parts. Her words showed him her madness. She thought she was in the right. However, in the end she was a vampire. Older and more powerful with the control of other vampires, but a spiller of human blood nonetheless.
"But light creates all shadows. The brighter it shines the darker they grow. Your light is a false one, but it casts shadows that will over come it. I am such a shadow." He surged forward slashing across and up and her chest.

::Castimonia was ready for him. She brought the blade paralell to her chest and blocked the strike. She felt his strength.. not to be trifled with. But she had such a strength as well. She threw her weight against his blade and threw him off. She tucked the blade up under his throat. The point was balanced on his skin... one slight jolt and it was over. But she needed him alive, for a time.::
Fool. Give me a reason not to cut your throat. If you move I will simply nick you... there is enough poison on this blade to kill one hundred strong men. If you remain still you will walk away unscathed. Tell me, how did you discover my castle? Why did you try to murder Rose? You are part of the rebellion, aren't you.. One of the wolves who will not see peace.. I know what they speak of me. They say I am mad.. perhaps I am. But I cannot cease while those I lover are in danger from ones like you.. Speak boy. Perhaps if you answer me quickly I'll let you keep your tongue.

Faster then the human eye could follow, and with all his power he whirled his sword up and across knocking her sword away from his throat. He had been clumsy. Too eager to see what she could do. What she could do was more then threaten all he held dear. He knew this now and would be ready. He spun around slashing at her open side, at the same time ready to parry any further attempts to get under his guard. He said not a word for he had already said too much. His eyes spoke volumes of his hate of her. He began calling up a new spell.

((I'll be using 1st person nattirtive for Joshua))
"So this is where I'm suppose to go" I thought to myself as I stood on the outskirts of a desperate village. Supposedly there have been recent sightings and activity of a vampire and werewolf, according to some rumors that have been spreading around across the land. These are genrealy weak resorces, but I can't complain I'm a mage and I have a job to do extermination those kinds of creatures. It was born to do so and I have to see through it to the end no matter. I entered the town at night to avoid any attantion i might bring, make's it better to look for evidence then in the day time.

::Dusty had run up the stiars to see what had happened. Fang quickly sent her to prepare the vampire generals as Castimonia had ordered. Dusty nodded, then scampered off to prepare the castle for any attack that may come their way. With th castle in good hands Fang turned back to Rose. He reached down grabbing her hands and helped her up to her feet. He rubbed her shoulders trying to warm her. She was shivering after all. His red eyes had been narrowed after her story however. Fang did NOT look happy. It was already starting, the werewolves were already attacking them. Sinc ehe had no other theory to go on, Fang was almost positive that the werewolf had attacked Rose because she was part of the alliance. He growled lowly in the back of his throat.::
"Alora was right! The other werewolves hate us now! Come inside before someone sees us!" ::He said. He helped Rose inside afraid that she may fall over if he did not support her. Scout followed them in as well and Fang asked him politly to close and lock the doors to the balcony. There were pounding footsteps on the stiars and Alora ran in, her silver hair flowing behind her.::
"I heard a scream wha..." ::Her gaze fell on Rose who was still horribly shaken.:: "....happened?" ::Fang lead Rose to ehr bed where he sat her down, then relayed the story to Alora who's purple eyes narrowed in anger:: "It's started then."

Joshua was getting a strong sense coming from a certain club that was in town. Joshua closed his eyes and focuses on the area, He saw a few quick B&W images of the club in his mind. "okay now all I have to do is get myself to there and check it out". Joshua was getting a littel annoyed at the streets. His robe that dragged across the ground was getting stuck to things that shouldn't be sticky and dirtying up his cloth. "Oh yuck that's nasty" HE whined holding up his cloths to avoid further stickyness.
He came up to the club which seemed to be empty now for some odd reason. "this is it huh" he muttered and walked inside and saw all there was to see. "Oh my"
