Well, I'd first like to thank Gelfman for personally requesting my presence, and rest assured, I WILL be there...
however... I would like to suggest one small addition to the rules, I know we all had a lot of fun with it at the first tournament (Sean more than anyone since he was the only sadistic bastard to use it) however, even with that in mind, I'm suggesting we follow suit with the rest of the competitive world and go exnay on the obbuffetway...
Here's why:
In a level 70 cap that requires strategy, Wobbuffet is totally predictable and kills a lot of the fun...
for anyone who doesn't know... this is how it works
Wobbuffet Lv. X
Nature: Any... preferably Careful, or Relaxed
Both Careful and Relaxed power-up physical and special defense respectively at the cost of speed, allowing Wobbuffet to move slower than his opponent while bolstering whichever defense stat you think you'll be hit by more...
Item: Leftovers or (once again because Sean is an asshole) Shell Bell
Moveset: Mirror Coat
Counter
Destiny Bond
Encore
EVs: AGAIN DON'T MATTER, however I'd suggest 252hp/128 to each defense
Those are 4 of the only 6 attacks Wobbuffet is capable of EVER knowing and they are the best...
Wobbuffet works like this...
You're slower than your opponent and without the Shed Skin item, or the Run Away ability; Wobbuffet's Shadow Tag means they can't escape, therefore they have to battle you, that in mind...
Depending on which type of attack (Special or Physical) they use encore them into it,
encore forces them to use the same exact attack for 5 turns, you then use the appropriate response attack until they die. Because the item "Shell Bell" heals based on damage done to the opponent and both "Counter" and "Mirror Coat" deal double the received damage, Shell Bell heals enough to recover the damage you lost when you discover their attack pattern.
If Wobbuffet EVER gets within death range, you simply destiny bond on your turn and since they've been "Encore"d, you will die, and you will take them with you...
Wobbuffet has only one type, Psychic, which means he's weak to three things: Bugs, Ghosts, and Dark Pokemon...
Use Spiritomb or Another Wobbuffet to stall it out, since Wobbuffet hates fighting the Slower Spiritomb and a second Wobbuffet eliminates the Shadow Tag ability...
Below this post there will be a link to the Serebii.net DP Pokedex on Wobbuffet, so you can check on anything I might have missed.
There...
Now that I have basically dispelled the entire mystery surrounding the obnoxious weeble-wobble that is an evolved Wyanut I suggest we forever do away with this hindrance to our good time...
Wobbuffet is too easy people, let's try to use some real strategy instead of turning our opponents attacks against them? And if you really want to do that ... Milotic and Corsola are a lot more fun...
THANK YOU AND GOODNIGHT
WOBBUFFET'S FOR EVERYONE!!!
