Title: Joe VS Diane
Description: come here diane...obviously

tintenfisch - February 5, 2004 08:00 PM (GMT)
((alright it might as well just be the few mountains and my guy is a neutral element so no need for power boost stuff, now how to start this off.....I ain't no good at starting off this kind of stuff my guy needs a reason to be there other than to fight...you do something your have a good mind for that kind of stuff))

Ladian - February 6, 2004 06:23 PM (GMT)
((Yay! I have a good mind!!))

Sablen was sailing to the star Ordo in search for his parents. He hadn't seen them since they'd vanished three hundred years ago, back when he was just a teenager. He'd always thought they went into hiding from the Shadowmaster, but he was dead now, and they had not reappeared. All the other Ladians filled the stars again, but his parents were nowhere to be found.
Sablen was a Ladian (sound familiar?), a race of people who were made out of light. They lived on stars, rather than on planets, and could travel through space on ribbons of light at their will. They walked, ate, and breathed light, and lived to be about at thousand years old. But though they were very different physically, they were very simialr to humans in mind and heart.
Since his parents had not reappeared when the Shadowmaster died like everyone else, Sablen was convinced they were being held prisoner by someone else. He'd followed empty lead after empty lead, and finally wound up at this star Ordo as his last hope. Before he arrived, he landed on Ordo I, the tiny planet closest to the star, to search for any clues.

((is that good enough, Joe, or do you need more?))

tintenfisch - February 6, 2004 07:48 PM (GMT)
((no that's good enough))

Destin layed dorment underground in an ancient ruins where a now dead race used to thrive. The silviants were an old race from millions of years ago and were technologically advanced beyond comprehension And it goes without saying, eventually silviants waged war with one another and killed themselves...all but a few that gathered in one area. The last remaining silviants made Destin, a guardian of some sort so that no other race can ever obtain the technology that the silviants had made.

Destin's eyes shot open "Some one's here"

Ladian - February 6, 2004 09:32 PM (GMT)
Sablen walked along the surface of the planet, watching the shadows of the rocks move.
"Wow, this planet rotates very quickly." he said outloud, to no one. "I better be careful." He could not allow himself to be stuck on the night side for very long. He was completely solar powered, and more than a few minutes without light would cause him to start to suffocate.
"I wonder if anyone is still here? The last lead I had said they'd heard of two people like me who had headed this way only a few hundred years ago. Maybe someone has seen my parents."
He looked at the barren land around him, searching for some sign of civilization. An odd structure near the dawn line caught his eye as the sun rose upon it, glinting. It looked like a city of some sort. Sablen began walking towards it. He had to walk that way anyway; he had to stay on the day side of the planet.

tintenfisch - February 7, 2004 03:37 AM (GMT)
The ground cracked open ((underneath you diane might I add)) and the earth split. One arm came out then another then a steaming mass of flesh and liquid crawled out of the fissure. The goo slowly but surely began to take shape of the demon destin, the protector of the technology of the silviants. The skin was purple and ripping with sinewy muscle, body markings of lost orgin covered the body from head to toe. white hiar sprouted on the shin and on the head where horns now resided. "Leave" The voice thundered atSablen

Ladian - February 8, 2004 01:00 AM (GMT)
Sablen took a step back as the ground beneath him cracked open. A strange Matteran (that is what Ladians call all beings who are made of matter rather than light) oozed out of the crack and stood oddly in front of him. Unusually for a Ladian, Sablen was a very good judge of Matteran appearances and he could tell from this being's physical body that it was not friendly. It's one uttered word confirmed this, but that would not sway him. He was on a quest to find his parents, and if there were clues here, he would find them.
After the being became still, Sablen took a step foward.
"I am searching for someone. Have you seen any other beings that look like me?" he asked. He was not afraid. He had never met, in all his exsitence, a Matteran that could harm him.

tintenfisch - February 8, 2004 01:02 AM (GMT)
Destin was getting angry that the intruder was not obeying. "leave now" Was all destin said before he back handed Sablen in the face (if he has a face that is, if you want the hand to go through you which I expect that's fine)

Ladian - February 9, 2004 12:49 AM (GMT)
Sablen had been wearing his outer coating, a hard, cooled shell which glowed a dull, dull red, in order to not blind Matterans. The slap in the face therefore simolutaniously knocked him back (because the outer coating is physically a hard substance), and was also powerful enough to crack it. Light as bright as a star shined through the gaping hole in his casing, illuminating the other being brightly.

Sablen was shocked, though he did not feel any pain. He had never encountered a living force that could crack his casing before, and it left him daunted and confused.
He must have my parents he thought, or else why would he have struck me?

Sablen stood up, but did not bother to fix the crack in his casing at the moment. He didn't have the energy for it; though the light from the sun reaching him through the crack was now re-filling his energy quite quickly.

"Hey, I don't want trouble. Just tell me where my parents are." he said.

tintenfisch - February 9, 2004 02:18 AM (GMT)
"Again you ignore me" Destin barked and back handed sablen again this time just a little harder than before, what was this kid thinking, he should be long gone right now. Why would his parent even be on this desolet place, and if they were they were probably dead any way.

Ladian - February 9, 2004 11:52 PM (GMT)
"Hey!" Sablen yelled, as the rest of his outer casing cracked off of his head. He was starting to loose his self-control. He never had much to begin with; he had always been quick-tempered. But this being was worse.
"What is wrong with you?!" he shouted. "Why do you keep hitting me like that?"
So that the Matteran could not hit him again, Sablen let his casing melt, and he became fully and only light. Now, if it struck him, its hand would go through him as if he were not there.

tintenfisch - February 10, 2004 12:06 AM (GMT)
Destins was confused...the intruder seemed to be melting itself.....but then it just stopped melting and seemed to be fine just standing there and getting angry. "You don't listen do you" Destin roared and took another swing at Sablen, but this time his hand went through. "WHat?" He said in surprise, and kept swinging and kept missing. "I said leave now that is all you need to know"

Ladian - February 10, 2004 05:19 PM (GMT)
Now that the creature could no longer push him around, Sablen became less angry and more curious.
"Why?" he said. "What are you hiding here that is so important, anyway?" he asked. Thinking it was something important, whether it was related to his quest or not, Sablen's curiosity got the better of him and he walked through the Matteran and towards the structures behind them.
He saw the bones of many dead Matterans strewn all about, and looked back at the monster.
"Did you do this? Are you a murderer?" he asked, confused and slightly frightened.

tintenfisch - February 10, 2004 07:40 PM (GMT)
Destin was shocked by what the thing just did but none the less he couldn't show signs of weakness. "It is unnessasary for you to know anything about this place" He barked and his hands began to glow. After they became a bright purple, he thrusted his hands foward and launched projectiles in the shape of arrows at Sablen.

Ladian - February 10, 2004 10:22 PM (GMT)
As previously, this attack was completely unexpected to Sablen. It came without warning and caught him off guard, especially since all the previous attacks had been purely physical. These bursts of energy thudded into him, knocking him back slightly before he was able to absorb them into himself.
What? How can a Matteran create something made of energy? he thought. He was lucky the attack had been weak; though now he had something to be worried about.
Just in case, he took his palm and formed a circle of light infront of himself; a light sheild. It was strong and would block an attack twice as powerful as what the monster had shot at him before. He would not be caught offguard again.

tintenfisch - February 11, 2004 01:45 AM (GMT)
THe shot were blocked and now Destin was getting pissed off, either this thing leaves now or the big guns will have to be let out. "Get off of here now, or else you will suffer worse than that. A red glow emminated from destins eyes and his hands glew brighter. As intimidation, destin summoned his weapon, He raised his hands and concentrated. Peices of metal on the ground begand to shake very slowly then then more rapidly. The metal peices flew at destins hands and clung on tighter as more and more metal flew to the hands. Then after a nice big ball of metal was collected after a few seconds, a bright flash revealed the weapon. The ball of metal had melted and transformed into a nice metal sickle with a stick as long as destins body and the blade half as long as his body. Destind purple arua began to flare as well.

Ladian - February 11, 2004 03:20 PM (GMT)
Sablen stared in amazed horror as the monster summonded matter to itself at will, and transformed it into some kind of matter-weapon. He was even more horrified when the creature's light-energy that it somehow had strenghtened to the point where it started to glow all around it. Sensing that this thing had barely begun to unleash it's true power, Sablen finally felt afraid of it. This thing was a monster; it could not be left to run around the galaxy. Who knew what it would deystroy. Sablen decided he had to deystroy this thing, because he acutally had a chance against it, compared to any other being. He strenghtened his shield and then started to form a powerful blast with his hands. He pulled at the energy from the sun to increase his power and then let it fly, hoping to catch the creature off guard since it was his very first attack.

tintenfisch - February 11, 2004 08:19 PM (GMT)
Destin has had his run in with other creatures before, why should this one be any different. "....you gotta be kidding" Destin moched. He countered with a blast of his own, would it be strong enough?, Destin thinks so, how hard could a light being be...it's light for goodness sake. Destin's Shot multiplied when it hit Sablens energy ball and all the shots aimed right at Sablen, while the ball of light hit him.l Though the force was strong it wasn't strong enough to blow him away but enough to leave marks on his skin and sickle.

Ladian - February 11, 2004 09:27 PM (GMT)
Though the reaction was very fast, Sablen was able to see what happened because he was used to things occuring at the speed of light. His energy-ball had blasted the creature's into a bunch of smaller ones, though they still aimed for him. He heard his own blast hit the creature but was unable to see if it had caused damage, because at that moment the creature's purple light hit into his shield and blocked his view.

Sablen was a yellow-wavelength Ladian, and so had the creature had a yellow or close to that color, it would actually strengthen Sablen. But purple was about as far from yellow as you could get, and his shield had difficulty absorbing the blasts. It wavered and faltered, and the last of the two blasts got through. Sablen ducked, though not quickly enough, and one of them grazed his shoulder. The cold purple light turned his arm a cool orange where it hit him, and it took some effort for Sablen to bring that part of himself back to correct temperature. He looked up at the sun, trying to absorb as much of its light as he could. He hoped this battle wouln't go on for too long; he was already slightly hungry.

He glanced back in time to see that his blast had done some damage to the creature, though not much. He wasted no time in preparing another, stronger, brighter blast. He squeezed it into a disk, making the edge a hotter, brigther substance than the rest of it, and hurled it at the creature's arm.

tintenfisch - February 12, 2004 12:01 AM (GMT)
Destin was able to prepare for this attack now and he waited for it to come closer, and the disk didnt look to friendly. As soon as the disk came, Destin Sumersaulted into the air over the disk and hurled his sickle which he caoted with his aura at Sablen.

Ladian - February 12, 2004 10:20 PM (GMT)
Sablen saw the creature jump over his light disk, and as it landed it threw it's spear at him. It was a smart move, coating the Matter with Light, but the thing still moved at the speed of matter, and so it was no effort for Sablen to move out of the way. He then formed a spear of his own out of light, and threw it back towards the creature like a lightening bolt.

tintenfisch - February 12, 2004 11:43 PM (GMT)
"What" Destin was caught by surprise and fear entered his eyes. the bolt Split right into his arm and out the other side of him. Purple blood shot out As he let out a scream. He plopped to the ground hard and let go of the sickle. He got back t his feet in a shaky condition and picked up his sickle again. Longrange wouldn't work, but short ranged maybe. Destin held his sickle horizanilt in front of him then began to spin it a little. Then a little more...and a little more,, then a whole lot to the point it was as fast as a helicopter blade. HE coated the sickel in his aura giving it a purple disk look. "eat this" And chucked it at Sablen with all his might.

Ladian - February 14, 2004 05:34 AM (GMT)
Sablen was distracted by the feeling of success he got when he finally hit the Matteran, and so did not duck in time when the spinning sickle flew at him. The purple purple energy smacked into him, the force being stronger because of the matter which it was attached to. Sablen was knocked back by it and nearly lost his balence. The odd purple light stuck to his chest like goo, cooling his skin and turning it green near the goo. It took a tremendous about of energy for him to absorb this light into himself; and though when he was finished he looked exactly the same, he was now much weaker than before. The sickle, now no longer coated in light, clattered harmlessly on the ground. Trying to prevent another of these attacks, Sablen heated his foot white and stepped on the sickle, melting it to the rock. Though this made him even weaker than before, he was hoping this would give him an advantage. He remained still, staring at the being, letting the sunlight recharge him as much as possible before he had to move again.

tintenfisch - February 14, 2004 02:50 PM (GMT)
"fell pain" Destin while throwing the sickle charged as well with his hands glowing brightly with purple. He rushed at Sablen with fists-a-blazin and swinging as hard as he could as muc as he could At the light thing.

Ladian - February 15, 2004 12:23 AM (GMT)
((Joe, I'm really sorry but I don't think I fully understood your post because of the typos. I don't want to respond and get stuff wrong, so I'll wait for you to fix them))

tintenfisch - February 15, 2004 12:55 AM (GMT)
((basically I'm swinging my fists at you, cause after I threw the sickle I charged at the same time and now I'm swinging my glowing fists (hence fists-a-blazin), quick diane..duck))

Ladian - February 15, 2004 01:40 AM (GMT)
No matter how prepared he thought he was, this thing always came at him with a totally new attack, constantly catching him off guard. Sablen dodged to the side, but the left fist was fast and connected to his shoulder. The purple light sucked the heat right out of him, and his whole arm turned a sickly orange.
"Yah!" Sablen shouted, as his arm turned painfully cold. Angrily, he yanked himself away from the fist just before it started to go through him. Now weak on one side, he formed his matter-crust over his strong arm, made it as hard as possible, and returned the punch to the creature's head. He hoped this would give him enough time to get away. He only needed a few seconds of rest to recharge, though in this battle he seriously doubted he would get that.

tintenfisch - February 15, 2004 01:49 AM (GMT)
Destin was blown back by the hit and scrapped across the ground leaving a huge skit line in the planet surface. What kind of creature goes from light to solid just like that. No matter all he had to do was summon up his aura again and beat him up. Destin tried to summon up his aura but something was wrong, he couldn't. "uh oh" Destin muttered, he tried again this time concentrated harder, but failed to get his power going again. Something wasn't right, that blow did a lot more then it appeared. Destin closed his eyes and used his ability to scan himself of injuries. The blow to the head apoarently caused a concusion to his brain and some hemreging took place in the frontal lobe which allowes him to focus. He had to heal himself but needed time about 5 minutes should do, hopefully the creature won't attack.

Ladian - February 15, 2004 02:00 AM (GMT)
Sablen stood in the sunlight, panting, recharging as much as possible while waiting for the creature to attack him. Suprisingly, it didn't. It just stood there, stone still. Was it resting? Had that punch done more damage to it than Sablen thought? Utterly confused, Sablen decided it didn't matter. He took every moment he could get to absorb the light, slowly building his strength back up. He eyed the creature nervously, waiting for it to make the first move.

((cool idea to have them rest, Joe))

tintenfisch - February 16, 2004 03:05 PM (GMT)
"focus, focus focus focus" Destin chanted standing in an old tradition pose that the ancient race used to use as a self healing measure. Humming an erie tune, Destin sparks blue flames around his body that begin to swirl and dance about. the flare like the sun and cover about 3 feet in every direction. Slowly the chanting begins to cresendo into a much louder roar and then to an extreame yell. destins eyes pop open and reveal that they are blank and souless.

Ladian - February 17, 2004 02:29 AM (GMT)
Sablen stands in the sun, arms spread wide, absorbing as much light as he can. He watches the creature curiously, and slightly fearfully. It's light has suddenly changed from purple to blue, which is terrifying to him. Ladians came in every color, but they did not change color. He had never seen anything like it before; and a being that could be any color it chose would be extremely powerful. Had Sablen been human, he would have started sweating with nervousness. But he did not show this.

He seriously considered just leaving. But there was no telling if this thing would be able to follow him, and he also could not allow such a monster to exsist in this world. Now almost fully recharged, he began forming a new plan of attack in his mind.

tintenfisch - February 18, 2004 11:18 PM (GMT)
The flames died down eventually and revealed a mostly healed Destin ready to get back to battling again. He took a defensive pose with one arm out stretched and the other drawn back, he would not attack this time but rather wait to be attacked and then Sablen down. "You going to stand there like an idiot or what? light boy" a good tuant should provoke an attack, if not, then he'll rush.

Ladian - February 19, 2004 06:20 AM (GMT)
Sablen was pretty sure the taunt was to make him attack, which would give the creature an advantage in some way. He decided to give him his wish; and let a series of little, but potent, bolts of bright yellow light fly at the creature. Before they got there, Sablen ran to the right a full 90 degrees and charged the creature. Since he was made of light, he could move at the speed of light if he chose (though it did make him tired when he was not on a star). Though the bolts would arrived slightly earlier because they had less distance to travel, he hoped the attack would seem simoultanious to the creature and give him an opening to get in a few blows with his own hands.

tintenfisch - February 19, 2004 02:09 PM (GMT)
"hey where'd he go, either way...stupid little bolts" Destin barrel rolled away from them to avoid. Only to turn around and see light coming at him "uh oh" Destin tried to turn around at the last second, but avast, not enough time, all he could do was brace for impact.

Ladian - February 19, 2004 11:42 PM (GMT)
"Yes! It worked!" he thought as the creature began to turn its head away from Sablen. He concentrated his energy into his right shoulder and body-slammed the creature as hard as he could with his light energy. He tried to pour his yellow-ness into the creature's purple aura, to weaken it, while at the same time hoping to do some physical damage with the strength of the blow.

tintenfisch - February 20, 2004 04:31 AM (GMT)
It was familiar scene from before, scraping across the ground like that. Destin dragged along the back ofhis neck a for a few seconds before finalyl coming to his feet and being able to stop. Destin needed a boost of power, a dramatic one at that, his aura felt weak, but not as bad as the body. "heh, prepare to go down now Light boy". Destin stomped his feet twice and got into a weird looking pose with his arms drawn back and bending backwards at almost an 90 degree angle. His Aura completly disapeared and was substituted for a different weird field of energy called "Atmosphere energon". The old aura dispersed and the new one shrouded Destin in a cloud of purple smoke, but his shadow was still visable to the naked eye.

"Violent resperation". Destins body began glowing to a dim lit purple showing the alteration was finished. Now he used twice as much energy, which means twice as much sterngth defense and everyhting else, only problem was after every attack he needed rest and can only keep this form for 20 minutes or else he bursts into flames.

Destin smiled with his vainy face and grited his teeth and breathed hard "now". Destin rushed at Sablen and leaped into the air and began spinning like a drill, aiming for Sablen's chest leaving streaks of atmosphere behind.

tintenfisch - February 22, 2004 02:27 AM (GMT)
*pant pant pant pant* Destin held his chest and felt his heart thump hard. He turned to Sablen breathing hard, "it's only a taste". He stood on the offensive taking joy that the creature was cowering. He needed more time to recooperate, but when he did he would unleash all hell.

Ladian - February 22, 2004 01:56 AM (GMT)
"Oh no, not another charge-up." Sablen thought as the creature did a weird pose. But then suddenly it was surrounded in weird purple...stuff.
"What the...?" but before he could finish his sentence the thing was flying through the air and piercing his chest. It [Ihurt, not like a physical attack at all, but at the same time went right through him, like matter! The creature landed behind Sablen, but he felt too hurt to turn around. His entire middle was a sickly dark red, and he struggled to keep his head from cooling down. He fell to one knee, which was bad because he needed to keep the hurt part pointed towards the sun so it could heal. He knew the creature would be attacking him agian very soon; though it was taking longer than he'd expected. Maybe the attack had made it tired. The red spot began to shrink some, and the middle turned into more of an orange, and Sablen was able to stand up. He ignored the pain in his middle and turned around quickly. He was on the defense right now, and waited for the creature to make the next move.

Ladian - February 24, 2004 10:40 PM (GMT)
Sablen sensed a change in the creature, and knew that it had been going easy on him until now. He looked over to the horizon, at the approaching dark line, and realized he had limited time to win this fight. He saw the creature was still resting from its last attack and decided to take advantage of its need to rest, even though Sablen would have liked to healed more before attacking.
He concentrated on cooling the light around his right hand to a deep red, until he started to shiver from the cold. Just before it started to solidify, he formed it into a point and threw it at the creature, aiming for it's chest. It should pierce the purple energy like a knife would pierce skin, and enter the physical part. But then it should solidify from cooling and become stuck inside the creature's physical body, like a bullet. Sablen had no idea how this Matteran's physical body worked, but he figured having an extra object inside that didn't belong there couldn't be good for it.

tintenfisch - February 25, 2004 02:18 AM (GMT)
Destin was in trouble there was almost nothing he could do to block that except try to walk out of the way, which failed and ended up getting ice lodged in his chest which prooved to be quite painfull. He groaned in pain but in a flash summoned his sickle and dug it into the entrence point of the wound and prodded the wound with it trying to remove the obstruction. Finally with enough effort he removed a big chunk of ice that plopped the the ground all bloody. Destin lost all conscience thought and began to go balistic on everything shooting projectiles everywhere, followed by charging head on at Sablen and winging with the sickle with the gracce of a fly swatter.

Ladian - February 25, 2004 05:33 PM (GMT)
Sablen triumphantly watched as his projectile successfully pierced through both aura and skin of the creature. It reached in and pulled it out, but with much of blood, which Sablen knew meant the Matteran was hurt. While the creature was distracted with pulling out the projectile, Sablen formed two more of them, one on each hand.
The monster then went crazy, shooting energy blasts in all directions, and charged Sablen. He dogded the energy blasts easily enough, since they weren't aimed very well, but they kept him from being able to dodge the actual creature. It swung it's sickle, which went through Sablen, but then it hit him with itself and he went flying backwards from the impact. One of his cold projectiles shot off harmlessly into the air, and the other he tried to aim at the same place he'd hit the creature as before; though it was difficult while tumbling backwards. He smacked onto the planet's hard surface, and his middle hurt since it was still cool from the creature's last attack. Sablen grunted.
