Title: worst of both worlds

Beautiful. That was the first word that came to Amy's mind as she stared down at the verdant planet alien Kashyyk, like a brilliant jewel against the cold vaccuum of space. Even before the infestation, Earth had been on the fast track to hell, the xenomorph had only hastened the inevitable. And now they had spread to a new planet.
They will not ruin this world as they did my own, our militaries will not allow it. Funny that she felt so strongly about this alien world. Then again, she had never seen such a world, and the thought of the xenomorph ravaging it and its people was enough to make her blood run hot. She abruptly turned from the viewport and to her troops, waiting patiently behind her. She had drifted off, and she couldn't afford to do so again. Not here, not with the xenomorph so close.
"Alright assholes, here is what we know," as every soldier did, she overcompensated for any sign of weakness by acting like a bastard, or, in her case, a bitch, "Nine days ago a smugglers ship carrying anywhere from ten to twenty illegal xenomorph eggs crashed landed on the planet Kashyyk for reasons unknown. A wookie rescue team was sent into the lower reaches of the forest and never returned, which on its own isn't abnormal. however, since then many have been reported missing, and several bodies have been found, and the Republic doesn't want to take any chances with its facilities on the upper levels. The crash site is too close to the aforementioned facilities, so even a tactical nuke is out of the question, so they asked for our expert assistance in securing the situation. In short, we're going in, like it or not." she heard whispers and inquiries of all sorts within the ranks. she didn't like it, that much was certain. No matter how imporatnt the damned facility was, if the briefing they'd gotten was even half accurate, the surface of this planet would be like a fucking minefield, and their goddamn trackers would be near useless. Great.
"The local governemnt respectfull,y requests that we keep incinerator and grenade usage down to a minimum, but, frankly, i really don't give a shit. Use your own discretion in arming yourselves. Remember people, this place is dangerous even without the fucking monsters waiting at every turn. Dismissed." She turned and headed for the armory, prepping herself for combat.

Space, perhaps the last true endeavor Humanity must endure. 25 year old Telek, a human male from courscant was watching out the window of a transport ship. As he looked at the blue swirls of the vortex that made up Hyperspace, he sat there thinking over his mission.

The New Republic was sending him to Kashyyk. Along with 3 other newly trained Jedi. This was only Teleks second mission. They were going to Kashyyk because word was a Xenomorph carrying shuttle had landed there. And with all the wildlife on Kashyyk, it was the perfect place for the Xenomorphs. He and his crew were sent to make sure that the Xenos don't get to far.

Xenomorphs are terriable creatures. They take over entire worlds and just disregard everything on them. Telek could already feel the planet Kashyyk when he was nearing the end of his journey. There was a little bump and the ship dropped down to normal space and engaged its Ion engines, for impulse travel. The planet Kashyyk was like a giant torch in the Force. Buring so brightly. This was due to the massive lifeform readings. Telek knew that the mission was only beginning.

The republic nor the earth infantry knew of their arrival.....the xenomorphs did though......and this war has just become more dangerous. a group of young predators had been dispatched to complete what was necessry to become full fledged adults.....to hunt the xenomorph....or acid-dragon as children of their planet called them. the xenomorphs had been decided upon due to the encounters in the past....they had great hunts, worthy hunts, honorable hunts. there were many losses and many predators barely came out alive.....but those predators are now considered heroes. this hunt though......will be different.......

Jal received his orders and borded the ship heading for the area in space the xenomorphs were located. him and his comrads packed their equipment and took off into the great unknown. jal put on his infared helmet and the groups orders flashed for a moment on the inside in their destinctive lanquage........

objectives: kill the lead acid dragon

side objective: kill at least 3 jedi from the republic......

((note....they arent aware of the jedi huntsd.....just that the jedi rival them in being great warriors))

"Sergeant, they're here. I thought you might want to be present for this." Amy nodded.
"Patch them through, captain." The captain, an older man, a veteran of the Alien-Earth wars, nodded. He fiddled with several controls, and a man's face appeared on the screen.
"Republic transport, this is sergeant Johansen (the name she'd been appointed, most of Earth's records had been lost in the invasion) of the Liberty, we have been ordered to rendevous with your Jedi passengers on the canopy and work our way down." The Jedi. she didn't know much about them, but rumor had it they were some sort of spiritual-voodoo warriors, crazy shit. She'd heard all sorts of stories about them from the few republic soldiers she'd met, again, wierd. But, if they could do all that stuff while they were fighting xenos, all the better. If anything, their supposed ability to sense things before they happened would be a godsend. Well, they would certainly see. she sat down and waited for a reply.

((Hey, Tom invited me to join. I didn't post in sign-ups, so I'll just put everything about my character here. I will try desperately NOT to be too anal about Star Wars facts, and also not to type any spoilers.))

Yabba hopped through the dark, dangerous floor of the Kashyyk jungle merrilly. She was human. She looked like she was eight years old. She was, in reality, a few hundred years old. She'd lost count. She was immortal, as far as she knew, and this led her to be quite merry. She could play anywhere she wanted, with anything she wanted, without being afraid. She liked to run across the vines up where the light began to filter through. She'd been doing just that when she'd fallen, giggling, screaming "Wheeee!" for the minute and a half it took her to reach the ground. She created quite a ruckus.

Creatures skittered away. Down here in the darkness, she was totally blind, and she got lots of fun out of groping around trying to find her way. Sometimes it took her months to find a way up to the light again.

Suddenly, she heard noises behind her. She turned instintively to look, and actually saw something.

Creatures, obviously intelligent, were coming towards her. They were speaking to each other in a language she didn't know. Intelligent beings were about the only thing she was afraid of. She began to run...but they saw her. They came after her.

The not too distant past.

The world for him was at first a warm gooey place of safety and security like none he would ever know later in his "life". It was place where he could grow in comfort not "seeing" anything but the heat he was enveloped in. The soundless hum of brain signals caressed him as he found life inside of life. He did not really understand this with any real intelligence. He could not express in human terms that he was alive inside a living being and that he could only "see" in terms of heat signals and could "hear" psychically. He knew that something was missing, however. He knew that there was something he should be "hearing" and it disturbed him that it was missing. It infuriated him that it was missing.
"Hey carol."
"Yes, Bob?"
"You set the landing coordinates for that planet yet?"
"Kashyyk?"
"yea that's the one."
"I was On my way to do so right now. Bob... are you feeling alright?"
"Yea.. Yea I'm fine, Just a bit of a stomach ache that's all. Do you mind if I accompany you to the control room?"
"Not at all. Did you hear about that supposed break in section 5?"
"The face hugger containment facilities. Yea I know. I was off shift and asleep at the time but they said they got them all before anyone could be well.. you know."
"urg.. those things give me the creeps. I'll be glad when it's all over."
"I know this is the last time I take one of these jobs."
The control room door opened and carol took a seat behind a console. She begin inserting the landing procedures into the auto pilot. Bob entertaining vague notions of romance with carol took a position leaning on the back of her seat.
"Bob.. Are you sure you are ok?"
"I.. Oh.. God.. My chest is on fire!"
It was time. Time for him to break free of the warm living cocoon and claw his way to sweet freedom. He could hear his brother's calling, calling for him to join him, their call without words. With out words he understood. He forced his way upward through bone and tissue gorging on meaty innards as he chewed a way out. Finally he burst from the chest cavity of bob, his sharper then steel claws plowing through carol's head with his momentum, slamming her skull onto the console, damaging it and sending incorrect landing information into to the main computer banks. As he scrambled towards the safety of the darkness he knew as "cold" The computer wailed in its impersonal voice of the destruction awaiting the crew.
In the darkness he hurried to free his brothers as around the ship more hatchlings began their own journeys toward life.

"The Force will be with you always"....Telek had remember Master Skywalker quoting that from his youth. As Teleks ship made its way down, passing through layers of atmosphere, Telek and the other 3 Jedi were overwhelmed with the feeling of life on this planet. Telek had only met a Wookie once. From what he saw of them, there between 8-9 feet tall depending on genetics. There covered in hair and are extremely powerful. However, for the most part Wookies are a peaceful race. Telek could sense the simplicity of the planet. There was little stress on a planet where everyone lives in giant trees. Telek felt one more thing though however, a dark feeling. It was an empty spot in the Force. He had a feeling he would find out what it was before too long.

Cleric - July 22, 2004 01:23 PM (GMT)
Energy ran like electricity through the ship for the last few minutes before they would set down in the lander. Much had to be done, slackers were grabbing weapons and armor, while the others were lining up single file in front of the dropship, waiting for inspection. Amy waited patiently for the last few stragglers to practically run into the hangar, and then began to pace in front of the assembled troops.
"Alright marines! We are going to go down there, and we are going to conquer! Shoot anything that isn't human, you understand?" A chorus of "yes sir!"s responded. She went to the dropship's hatch and activated the ramp to open.
"Pile in people!" They swarmed into the ship behind her, stowing their weapons and then buckling themselves in for the freefall downward. The pilot began the countdown.
"Release in... 5...4-"
"-Express elevator to hell, going down-"
"-2...1, disengage." amy's stomach lurched as the ship began a half guided freefall thorugh miles of upper orbit and atmosphere to rendevous with the jedi below.

They survived. They survived when any other would die. Some did not even believe they were alive. Some thought they were creatures spawned from the most hellish of nightmares. They had released hell on earth. Now they had crashed on a new planet.. and not only did they survive
They thrived.
Soon the jungle was teeming with them, but still something was missing and it infuriated him. Then, as they gathered building their hive, one had changed. One had become.. something more. He was pleased in his primal way when she had become. She gave them what they wanted.. what they needed and it was good. She told them what to do and they obeyed.
He obeyed. She had called him in particular to her service. He was to find the most special of prey and bring it to her. He and a group of her special chosen would hunt for her. They obeyed with no questions her comforting presence with them always. "Hunt my children" she said without words. "You will be rewarded if you please me." They obeyed.
With mindless senselessly vicious determination they obeyed the queen.

Ladian - July 23, 2004 12:25 AM (GMT)
Yabba ran as fast as she could from the things chasing her. Though she was extremely well-built, very strong for her size and extremely nimble and fast...she was blind. She knew the jungle well; she knew what everything was by feel, but she lacked the input she could have recieved in advance from seeing things before she smacked into them. She was feeling for a Crotyl vine, ones that hung down from waaay up high in the trees, flowering up in the light. She could climb one...

The creatures were gaining. They not only had light, but they must have had good hearing and smell, too, the way they were tracking her. She screamed as a claw dug into the skin of her back... not from pain, but from fear. Her skin would heal the moment the claw pulled out of her back, she knew, but that was not what she was afraid of. Being immortal, the thing she was most afraid of was losing the thing she valued most...freedom. And endless life in captivity of any kind would be unbearable.

She fought, but more claws came upon her...teeth, too. Drool covered her face. She gaged on the horrible smell, but it was no use. They were going to eat her. Maybe if she were torn into pieces, she would die. Maybe that would be better, anyway.

In utter fear and terror she screamed as loud as she could, hoping for someone, something to come. Even a natrual predator of Kashyyk, to at least distract the monsters...

off: sorry I havnt posted in a while my comps down. I'm posting at work right now.

On:

Telek and the rest of his landing party made there way towards the Wookie civilization. If you could call a planet with ape like aliens that lived in primitive houses in trees. Walking towards the structures, Telek began to sense something crying out in the force. It felt like a cold shiver running down the back of his spine. Goosebumps formed on his skin and every midi-chloirne in his blood began to go crazy, releasing chemcals and all types of energy that allowed him to feel the Force. Something was wrong. Someone on the planet not to far away was in great danger, and even more, great pain. Telek and the other Jedi knew what they had to do, they must find the source of the suffering and help the being in pain. It was afterall the Jedi way.

Amy's squad followed behind her cautiously. They were good, sh'd worked with them all beforee and had hand picked them herself, but getting sloppy could get you dead, they all knew that. She was in the front with a rifle. Behind her, Gonzalez and Lambardi covered her with splatterguns, shotgun-likes weapon that didn't have much penetration, but was great at picking off xenomorph above them with minimal acid splatter. Behind them, four more troopers had rifles, followed by two incinerator units, and finally, two heavy machinegunners bringing up the rear, a standard, but effective, formation.
"Damn, there's so much movement, these trackers are useless sarge."
"Then sling em marine, don't bother, besides, we have our jedi friends, so who needs trackers?." She motioned to the four men walking ahead of them. Suddenly, the lead one, Telek, his name was, stiffened, and without a word, the four of them began to run.
"What the fuck?" She muttered under her breath. "Hey, wait up!" But they had already covered a great distance.
"fucking morons, running into xeno territory, come on, Gonzalez, Blake, watch our asses, let's go!" They ran off into the dark.

He hunted with his brothers. Hunting on such a world was easy. A planet so brimming with life was paradise. A paradise who's population of xenomorphs was just waiting to explode. His was not the only hunting group. His was one of two. He "heard" a call. His brother's had found prey! Special prey. Prey worthy of the queen maybe. what might be called joy in another being found a place in him. Screeching the feeling he "called" to others directing them instinctively. He was the queen's chosen. He would be found worthy. They moved like quick silver.

The predator ship drop out of lightspeed and began its entry onto Kashyyk. upon entry the ship cloaked and landed in a clearing. as the three predators exited the ship they themselves cloaked and went in separate directions. Jal jumped into a tree and began hunting for any signs of jedi or xenomorphs. he picked up some humanoid life forms on this planet.....just not any that would be worth killing....for the moment that is...

Yabba screamed for a long time, but then she grew tired of screaming. The monsters, whatever they were, were not going to let her go, and no one was going to come to help her.

Their teeth kept clamping down on her, but every time they let go to chew agian, she healed. So they chewed on her for quite awhile. Though the monsters were strong and could have torn her limbs off, they did not. They must have been hungry, because they just incessantly chewed, which got them nowhere. After a long time of this, Yabba decided to play dead. Maybe they would go away.

They did not. Instead, one of them picked her up and shoved her arm in it's mouth, using her as a chew-toy. It began walking, the light still following it...it was then that she saw what was causing the light. It came from the monster's stomach. It had probably eaten an entire nest of glow-bugs...all of them probably had. They were not intelligent beings at all, just monsters that ate everything. Yabba whimpered. Tsensation of pain lasted not even a second with her, because she healed so quickly, but the fact that it was constant was beigining to wear on her nerves. She kicked hard at the monster and fought to tear her arm free, but it's jaws were too strong.

She then did something she hadn't done in two hundred years. She cried.

note: diane gave me permission to do what i'm doing in this post

As jal was roaming through the trees he heard a girl crying. he looked in the direction it was coming from and saw one heat signature.....and something mauling the others arm. he quickly hopped a few trees and examined the situation. he switched his helmet to view electromagnetic spectrums and saw three xenomorphs attacking her. he suddenly had an idea. he raised his shoulder cannon and targeted the creature mauling the others arm. a large red triange began to glow over the hind legs of the creature. within an instant the hind legs of the creature were blown clear off. the creature died almost instantly. he jumped onto the ground as two three more creatures surrounded the area. he decloaked and stared the creatures down. all that could be heard from him was a growl...a sinister sounding growl that would send chills down the spines of any humanoid species. one of the creatures lunged at him but he extended his wrist blades and jammed them right through where the creatures eye sockets would be. after removing them he could see there was some melting from the acid blood. he threw the lifeless body to the ground as another one bit his shoulder pad. he grabbed the attacking creature and threw it into a tree. it shook off the throw and resumed its attack on jal. jal then took out his blade like frisbee and threw it slicing off the creatures head. the frisbee wedged itself nicely into a tree and began melting as well. the third creature backed away and ran off for reinforcements. jal looked to yabba after he retrieved his damaged blade frisbee. yabba was wimpering in pain as she looked up to him. before she could say anything he cloaked himself and tossed a net over her. he picked the net up and jumped into the trees......this is just the bait he needed to lure a jedi to him.

Amy stopped ead in her tracks, holding up her hand for her squad to stop.
"What's the deal sarge?" She only held up her hand, for silence, listening. your mind's playing tricks on you, there's no way there's a kid, a human kid, would be on this world. But she listened anyway. Minutes passed, and she felt herself relx, she hadn't even realized how tense she had been, she had just been imagnining things... then she heard it, and was sure of it this time. A scream, a human girl's scream.
"Gonzalez, Brown, with me!" She charged into the trees, gun at the ready, heart pounding, until she emerged into a small clearing... only to find several xenomorph carcasses. She slumped down in dissappointment and sadness. "Give me a sign kid, wherever you are."

a few minutes after the capture of his bait to lure his prey here....he brought the net to a high branch and tied it up to the branch so anything could see it. the ship was only a few meters away so he only left her briefly. his arm was damaged along with his wrist blade and disc from the xenomorphs acidic blood. he quickly took out the medikit and began to cautirize the wound. under his mask he squinted in small amounts of pain but was feeling better after it was over. after that he thre his disc and wrist blade outside and began to search the cargo bay for a new set of weapons. unfortunatly all he found was a spare wrist blade, another shoulder cannon and an energy rifle. he wasnt too worried about the xenomorphs posing much of a threat......although he did wonder what it would be like to face a jedi........what a glorious kill to have on such a warrior

DarkDestiny - July 27, 2004 09:54 PM (GMT)
((Jay aliens do not have heat signatures. That is why predator nightvision is only useful on humans or human like creatures. Cloaks do not work on them they "see" phermones. Their acid is enough to burn a giant hole through several ship floors. I'm afraid a slightly burned glove is not realistic. Taking off their legs would not kill one instantly. That one would be still crawling towards you untill you blew it's head off. They are not human. Please try and keep that in mind before killing them as if they were just ants. ))
The scream's and "calls" of the dying and dead reached them. It infuriated them all because it infuriated her. She howled for vengance at the death of her children. They screamed in return their mindless pleges to do her will and kill as her children had been killed.
They howled warning and promise as they began converging on the death sight.

Ladian - July 28, 2004 09:36 PM (GMT)
In the confusion of the battle, Yabba could not see much, but she heard something killing the monsters that chewed her. She heard the third run off, still free. Then suddenly, she was free, sitting on the ground. In the complete blackness she saw nothing at all and listened very carefully for whatever had killed the monsters...and then something fell down all around her, something unfamiliar. She screamed again, from fear. Her wounds now completely healed, she began to struggle as she was lifted up...

Up, up, up. She could hear the breathing of the thing that carried her. Was it another monster? Was it a predator of Kashyyk, or a bounty hunter..or even, hopefully, a Wookie come to rescue her?

Slowly, they climbed towards the light and when she was able to see she realized, dejectedly, that it was none of these things. It was an alien which she had never seen before...but it had weapons. Which meant that this one was intellingent...and she did not think it was friendly, either. It climbed very high, up to the Wookie level, almost to the top. It took her eyes a few minutes to adjust to the brightness of the world around her, and then she saw that she was in a net, hanging off a branch.

She inspected the net. It was very strong. She couldn't chew through it. She could reach the knot that held it to the tree, but she could not undo it. The alien went about it's buisness, paying no concern to her as it repaired itself from the battle. She noticed parts of it had been eaten by acid...so that was the hissing sound she had heard.

"Do you speak Basic?" she asked it.

Lightningcount - July 28, 2004 10:21 PM (GMT)
Jal just sat there cloaked as Yabba asked him questions. He had never seen anything like her before.....a sentient being that could heal any wound after it occured. he knew he couldnt let her fall into the hands of the xenomorphs because with her in their possesion, this whole planet or galaxy would be over run with them and not even all the predators from his homeworld could stop them. not even all the jedi in the galaxy would be able to stop them

Cleric - July 29, 2004 12:54 AM (GMT)
Amy sprang to her feet as she heard the sound. The xenos were quiet, but even they could't stop the inevitable noise many of them would cause at high speeds. The slaughter of their kin must have drawn the rest...
"First squad, this is sergeant Johansen, mark your position with a transponder beacon, we're coming to you, and get ready, we've got company." she turned to her two companions. "Let's move, boys." They didn't have to be told twice.

The four Jedi had stopped running. Telek felt with the force. He could feel the throbing sensation race all over him. Danger was near. But not just 1 source. There were two new alien sources for this distubance. Telek dropped his hand, the signal to prepare for battle. All at once the 4 Jedi ignited there lightsabers, and cloaks flew behind them. "The Hostiles are on there way, May the force be with us" Telek yelled.

Jal was growin weary.....and hungry. he searched around his left pack dangling from his waist and pulled out some emergency rations. he saw that yabba also looked hungry and he didnt want his bait to die of starvation. he moved down from his campout in the tree and made a small hole large enough for his hand and handed yabba some of his rations.

Ladian - July 31, 2004 03:54 PM (GMT)
Yabba looked at the weird food the alien was handing her. Of course, it thought she needed to eat. Maybe it was trying to poison her...oh well. She shrugged, taking the food. It didn't matter. She could eat rocks if she wanted. She began chewing on the food. It didn't taste bad, or good, either. It didn't have much flavor. Yabba wondered if the alien would sleep...and if it did, if she would be able to tear the hole it had made larger. She was already growing quite restless, sitting in the same place for such a long time. She tried desperately not to think about getting out. But out was all she wanted.

"Hey sarge, where's the jedi?" Amy looked behind her.
"Shit, those stupid fucks, I thought they were behind us. come on, one of them has a transponder beacon on, we'd better go meet up with them. same formation, i'll take point, let's move." The squad moved off into the thick jungle.

He moved with his 5 brethren like a single living moving limb. A deadly arm of the queen that reached for it's prey with grasping claws. Zenomorphs with their shaper then steel claws could find purchase on any substance even solid vertical metal. The living soft wood was no problem for them In the dense canopy they moved like the shadows themselves not very silent but very deadly. Lightning fast and deadly.
Screaming with their cries like tearing metal, they dropped down from the canopy upon A group of humans who had taken a stand against them. He directed them each to a human, himself waiting for an opportunity to strike. The first one fainted towards a human with female pheromones a second of his kin dropping down from above her. Another of his kind went for a male using his barbed tail. A third of his kin lunged head first at another Jedi the last of his knife following suit on the last of the jedi. He himself lunged with the first two towards the female.

Telek and the rest of the Jedi had seperated from the main group. Something within the Force called them. The sense of an unusal being. It felt somewhat like the Xenomorphs, but more....intelligent? Telek thought to himself. The Force was like a river, always flowing, always in motion. It had never lied to him. The Jedi using Force enhanced strength jumped and ran at speeds and heights impossiable for normal beings. This great intelligence was calling them and the curious Jedi were about to find out what it was.

"FIRE AT WILL! CONTROLLED BURSTS, TRIPLETS ONLY, WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH AMMO FOR A FULL SUPPRESSIVE FIRE!" The squad opened up on the attackers in a blaze of bullets, grenades, plasma and napaltha.

Yabba had been relaxing as much as possible, sitting in a half-sleep daze in the net, trying to make the time go by. But she sat up straight and stiff the moment strange noises from not too far away carried across the air to her ears.

She heard the very familiar sound of gunfire, and the less familiar, but equally recognizable sound of the monsters that had attacked her. Gunfire? Wookies had guns, but they didn't usually use them. Were these monsters so very dangerous? She heard them screeching, and even some human voices shouting over the distance. Even though she could see nothing and knew nothing about the people in the fight, she rooted for the humans. Even if they were bad people, they were still her own species, and maybe they would free her from this alien that held her.

She looked over at the alien, wondering if it heard the sounds of battle as well. Maybe it would leave her to go take a look, and give her a chance to escape. She thought she could escape, if she could just reach the knot above holding her to the branch. All she had to do was untie it, and she'd fall to her saftey.

Then again, with those monsters roaming the ground, maybe it was safter in the net.

Yabba decided she was going to leave Kashyyk the moment she got the chance.

Screeching two of the 6 xenos were turned in to a splatter of acid rain by the hail of gunfire and plasma that fell upon the marines. Two of the others took superficial damage to their limbs but not nearly enough to slow them or kill them. He was smart enough and quick enough to dodge the fire of a flame thrower that was meant for him, the marine behind him was not so lucky. Screeching with rage he thrashed his barbed tail towards the first offending marine's gut following up with rapid clawing slashes at the marine's face.
One of the bleeding zenos lunged at a marine with a plasma gun aiming for his gut with claws and splashing acid blood. A unharmed xeno lashed out with it's tail at a third marine with a flame-thrower and was toasted. the dying cries only further infuriated the remaining xenos. He moved on to another human with rapid claws and a double jaw aimed at it's head. The last xeno barreled into another marine in a fury of claws teeth and tail.

The xenos were lacking in number, technology and intelligence, but in the close quarters ambush the marines had fallen into, it didn't matter. Three of the xenos lay shattered and smoking on the ground, however, they had done their work. Three of amy's men had been caught in a spray of acid as two of them had died, another had been burned my a stray incinerator shot, and three more had been mutilated in close by the monsters' wicked claws and teeth. Shots still rang out occassionally among the troops, but looking around she could not see any more of them.

They had just began to gain their vengeance when her voice called to them. She was pained by the loss of the three more then could be allowed. She wanted them safe. She needed them. If they were lost then she would be. This thought/feeling was unbearable to them. He screeched in agony "voicing" his compliance. The xenos melted back into the forest disappearing as quickly as they had appeared.

Running at full speed towards the battle, The Jedi knew they were already too late. The Marines had been simply to far. Four blurs raced by every tree and stick along the way. For such an intelligent race, Wookies lived on such a primitive homeworld. As they were running, Telek's communicator chirped. He motioned for all of them to stop. He pulled out from within his dark brown Jedi robes and answered.

"Telek here" he said into the device.
A faint crackling was heard through the comm., must have been because of all the trees. "....This is Commander Kabok of the New Republic infantry unit 82".
Telek responded, "This is Jedi Knight Telek, I read you Commander, whats your position?"
"We are in a geosynchrinsis orbit, we'll be landing in two hours" the voice cracked.

Telek let out a sigh of relief. More help had arrived.

Jal knew that staying here would only lead to theyre downfall....there was no way the three of them could defeat earths infantry, the jedi and the xenomorphs. jal then looked to yabba.....his prisoner. jal looked to his second in command and motioned for him to cut and carry yabba to the ship. he had future plans to use her. Klaise, his second in command took a hunting knife and cut the rope and slung the net over his shoulder as Jirai the third predator covered them. within minutes Jal uncloaked the ship as Klaise and Jirai entered the ship. Klaise threw yabbas net in the back of the ship. Jal blasted off from the atmosphere of the wookie homeworld and threw itself into hyperspace to a new planet.

((crap, now I'm not even on the planet anymore)).

Yabba grew tired with boredom and fell asleep in her net. Since she had little to fear, there wasn't much which could wake her up when she decided to sleep, and so all the jostling of her net as she was being moved did nothing to wake her.

When she finally did awaken, she found herself in a place which she hadn't been in for a very long time. She was confused at first at the silence, and the strange, steady humming noise, and the smell, and the hard, cold floor...

Dismayed, she realized slowly that she was in the hold of a ship. She was also still in the net. This was a very bad situation. Her worst fears had come true. She had lost her freedom. She might live forever in this net! This could not be! Panicky, she began sliding herself across the floor, trying to feel what else was in the room...mostly just boxes and crates. Nothing sharp with which to cut the net, no animals to help her...nothing.

She was trapped. Fear and despiration gripped her. She bit the ropes of the net again, but it was much stronger than her teeth. Yabba almost missed being chewed on by those monsters....

"Sergeant Johansen, come in, this is Lieutenant Borge of the Tiamath, we've lost contact with the cybernetics facility. Sergeant, your insertion into the forest was solely intended to protect this facility in the first place. Grab what men you have, conntact your Jedi friends and get up there. I want to know what the hell is happening up there. Reinforcements will be along directly."
"Sir I-" The connection died. "Damnit." She had already lost enough people in this damn cesspool, but they had a job to do. "Alright people, lets move." She activated her comm unit again.
"Jedi knight Telek, we've been ordered to rendevous with reinforcements at the wookie cybernetics facilty in the upper canopy, I request your support. Will your men accompany us?" she waited for his repsonse.

Telek responded. "Yes, we'll be there, along with a New Republic infantry unit." It had been a while but things finally sounded better. The fact that the New Republic was sending help was a sure sign that the politicians back home were starting to crack. "They're finally starting to see the threat" Telek thought out loud. Telek and his 3 companions made there way towards Amy.
